Summary: yet another sterotypical movie about pretty girls
Review: the formula is so stale...Uma Thurman plays the beautiful, but dumb blonde, Jeanne the smart but average looking women, and Ben the smart and beautiful guy....of couse, jeanne is so great and smart but just lacks looks, while Uma is just looks, and the main man is both...whatever...as if the world isn't full of beautiful smart girls or dumb average looking girls...this is so ... the revenge against the beautiful types..moreover, this movie tries to go against a age old, time old fact about love relationships..that looks matter a lot...that's just ...i mean you have to actually want to be with the person..not just a friendship..oh well...this movie is so divorced from the real world...i mean you don't see tom cruise dating rosie o' donnell (who is funny and smart)..instead he dated penelope cruz (who is also smart, beautiful and talented)....

Summary: It does *not* rely on Abby not being attractive.
Review: The movie does not hinge on Abby *being* unattractive; it hinges on her *expecting* Brian to think she's unattractive. The same culture that has conditioned most men to ignore her has conditioned her to expect to be ignored. The story is about them *both* overcoming that conditioning.

It's a fabulous movie. I hope it comes out on DVD soon.

Summary: Deceiving title but a Darling movie!
Review: The title had me expecting some sort of a sexually oriented theme, but this is a movie you can let your children watch. Although adults will appreciate a lot more of it than they might.

Not only that, it's plain FUNNY at the same time it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering just when the real truth will finally get spilt!

I was also amazed to see actual "phone sex" that was very cleanly done without a bit of nudity or X rated words getting involved at all. This scene would likely go over most kid's heads, but the adults sure won't miss it!

This movie is a MUST HAVE addition to any collection!

Summary: Not Another Dumb Blonde Movie The Truth Is Here!
Review: The Truth About Cats And Dogs could be another beautiful blonde gets hero movie. But thanks to clever writing and A great standout performance from Janeane Garofalo who should have gotten top billing this movie standsout among great date movies. With A big loveable dog named Hank who happens to wear roller skates this movie just rolls right along.

Summary: When you love someone, look doesn't matter....find out why?!
Review: There's one line from the movie and it's from Brian.it went something like the following: when you love someone, it doesn't matter how s/he looks as long as you love her/him. and on the other hand, when you don't love her/him, even if s/he is beautiful, it won't matter to you.

Summary: Good Title
Review: This film has one fundamental logic flaw: What on Earth is supposed to be wrong with the way Janeane Garofolo looks?!! Her acting chops are certainly not lacking either. She is as good an actor as she is beautiful. But don't get me wrong, I'll never be blind to Uma Thurman's charms! This is a very good, though slightly formulaic comedy that still manages to get in a few barbs about our appearance-obsessed society and about how we can all sometimes be stung by a momentary lapse of self-esteem. Janeane, you're a great talent and I wish you very well.

Summary: Outstanding
Review: This is a great movie... giving the everyday woman out there hope that there is a man that thinks we are beautiful on the outside because we are beautiful on the inside.

Summary: I loved it!
Review: this is movie is sooo good! if u don't know the plotline i'll tell ya. this woman (janeane g.) feels ugly but she thinks she has a good personality. she works for a radio station and does a show called the truth about cats and dogs. well, one night uma thurman (who lives across the hall from janeane) gets into a fight with her boyfriend and janeane sticks up for her, and they casually meet. then abby (janeane's name) goes to work and helps this dude (the love interest) with an unruly dog. he wants to meet her BUT... abby gives him uma's name instead, along with description. so the story goes. they both fall for him and they both get hurt. its sooooo good! if it sounds interesting to you then buy it. o yeah.. its kind of a chik flik but guys may like it too

Summary: A classic casual comedy
Review: This is one of the best comedies i've ever seen, reverse roles, great actors and a perfectly plotted storyline. Romance, comedy, drama, this movie has it all, Uma thurman is great.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very Nice (Uma is too:)
Review: This movie has all the right ingridients that make it great. It is a "feel good" movie and after watching it it cheered me up and put a smile on my face. It doesn't "try" to be funny, like lesser movies do, it "is" funny. The cast work well together, but, Uma Thurman just shines through. She is cute, sexy and funny and is pleasing on the eye.
