Summary: good stuff
Review: 'About Last Night..' is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen. It has a bit of an eighties touch and a little TOO much nudity but, other than that this movie is awesome. Rob Lowe looks sexy and acts his best, and Demi Moore is just beautiful in this movie.
It takes place in Chicago and two singles Debbie and Danny, have a one night stand. They move in together and try to make a sexual relationship into a romantic one, will it work out? HMM.. I highly reccomend this movie, especially if you are a Rob Lowe fan(you see a lot of his @ss).

Summary: "About Last Night..." DVD Review: A must see for couples!
Review: A story that many couples can related to. All about sex, no communication. I think many guys would call this a "chick flick" and many women might call this an awesome movie.

But this is a must see for couples! Because you can really relate to the characters.

Situations that many couples have lived through and many of you can see many things in common with yourself through the characters of Danny (Lowe) and Debbie (Moore). So,this movie is pretty good but it doesn't near the quality of storylines such as my favorite romantic comedies such as "When Harry Met Sally" or "Sleepless in Seattle", but this is one of those movies featuring the Brat Pack that we grew up watching in the 80's and love.

What about the DVD?

The video quality is very good and the audio is good for a dialogue movie. But the let down is the lack of any extras. You get the trailer for Demi Moore's three movies "About Last Night...", "The Juror" and "A FEW GOOD MEN". They included a wide screen version and full screen version but all DVD's should have trailers, different languages, subtitles and wide or full screen formats. Nobody counts those as extras. So, to rate this DVD, the fact that this movie is still pretty good and that it has other trailers, saves this DVD from getting a F or D rating (rating it as a whole). The movie itself gets a B-, the DVD extras a D-, thus overall rating a C.

"About Last Night...", It's about dating, having problems of saying "I love you", being a couple and having meddling best friends who are overly to involved.

Hmm...A few things in life that many of us can relate to!

Summary: Love and Chicago in the 80's
Review: About Last Night is a terrific film because it deals with the realities of dating. It is definitely not a film that everyone will enjoy, but if you were single and in your mid twenties during the excessive eighties, tell me you can't relate. Plus it is filmed in Chicago and features 16 inch Softball. Being from Chicago, this film hits a lot of my buttons.

Good chemistry between the characters plus a nice soundtrack make this movie one of my favorites.

Summary: ... About This Film
Review: Arguably, ABOUT LAST NIGHT was not only one of the best date movies to come out of the 1980's but also it's simple story of boy-meets-girl in the modern age is one terrific romance. Rob Lowe (at the peak of his preeniness) and Demi Moore (at the birth of her true beauty) fall in and out and back in love, with Elizabeth Perkins and Jim Belushi along for the ride ... and they almost steal the film. One great shooting script of the play SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO and terrific locations, ABOUT LAST NIGHT is a film that I'll always cherish.

Summary: Its a pretty standardized romantic comedy.
Review: Because of the cast, I thought this would be "Brat-Packish." It's a pretty standardized romantic film. Not really a good date movie because there is alot of nudity. However, in all honesty Demi Moore gets extremely naked and its pretty rare footage of her bearing all before she got too famous. All in all, About Last Night is your basic 80's dating movie.

Summary: Worth seeing twice
Review: Demi Moore and Jim Belushi are wonderful as is the comedy and music thru-out. The rocky relationship and break-up scenes are painful to watch. But, the rest of the film more than make up for that.

Summary: Slice of Life...Perhaps a Bit Stale
Review: I enjoyed this movie. It was a nice little romance that followed the formula. First of all boy meets girl, and a relationship develops. Quick film sequences follow showing the happy couple, hand in hand, laughing and enjoying walking, shopping and just having a good time. The next step is moving in with each other, and then facing those unavoidable difficulties of adapting to life together. The good times are followed by not so good times, and, according to formula, there is a falling out and ultimate reconciliation. I am not revealing much here as there are no real surprises in this movie. None whatsoever. There are jealousy scenes; the "what's bothering you?" question followed by silence; the scenes deploring each other's household habits, and so on and on.

It's pleasant viewing, though, with Demi Moore and Rob Lowe obvious candidates for the most attractive couple of the year award. While their struggles as lovers are extremely realistic, and can cause some squirming by most of us viewers who have tread this path at some point in our lives, the two best friends of our couple are something else. Belushi and Perkins give us something different to squirm about. If you have had a lover with a friend that you didn't much like just get a load of these two friends from hell. Belushi is a boorish womanizer, and Perkins is a possessive snot. These two, possessing some of the most obnoxious traits found in humans, are both totally non-supportive of the growing relationship between Lowe and Moore. Belushi plays his part well, showing the ugliest traits to be found in the male. I kept wishing he would be run over by a truck, and thus vanish from the movie. But then, I guess, the movie itself would have become even more of a routine story of relationship problems.

All in all the movie was well done. I just wish there had been a real surprise or two. As it is you sit through the whole thing fully aware in advance of what will happen next.

Summary: I just loved this movie
Review: I grew up in the 80's and watched this movie in it's original screen version. I recently came across this movie again after not seeing it for probably 10 years. I have to say that it's an excellent movie that touches the issues of every single person looking for love and dating in todays world. I loved the movie back then and I loved it all over again when I recently came across it. Sure, because the movie was made in the 80's there were alot of old hair styles and fashions but that not withstanding, issues that single people deal with never seem to change a whole lot. About last night could relate to someone just coming into their 20's in the twenty first century as it did to twenty year olds in the 80's.

I highly recommend this movie especially to those who are in a relationship or in the process of getting into one.
