Summary: It Drags - and Drags
Review: This movie goes on and on about kids that seem to be clueless in the world. I think thatt it is not nearly as good as KIDS rent that if you want to see a good flick about gangs. And its by the same author so you wont offend him by renting it.

Summary: I will never fall out of a tree
Review: Harmony Korine is brilliant. And so is his idle, Werner Herzog. Don stepped outside.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A refreshingly raw satire
Review: It was hard to believe the people in the flick were really actors and not part of a documentary. I found myself sucked into this hopeless world and wanting to remain there rather than participate in the latest hollywood feelgood effects laden googleplex blockbuster.

Summary: bedazzling
Review: Gummo is the greatest film ever. It is beautiful yet scary. The photography is amazing, art in it's purest form, almost every picture frame is like the most beautiful picture you have ever seen. There is no plot it's just a look inside some people's everyday life. And what a life it is. I think it will take a very long time until anyone can make a movie even close to this cause this is so avant garde and ahead of it's time that it's just bedazzling. If you have not seen this movie you have to see it, you may not love it, you may hate it but it will surely move you enough to change your life forever.

Summary: The dumbest waste of time movie ever made.
Review: This movie is by far the worst movie I have ever seen.To rent it would be to waste money, time, and effort to carry it . Do not rent buy or think about this movie ever.It attempts to be stunning and amazing by showing this ugly uneducated group of hicks from xenia ohio, but it does nothing but stun you in that someone would actually film this.MISTAKE!

Summary: Yes it was sick, but it was brilliant!
Review: This movie was recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to rent it. I had never heard of it, but thought I'd give it a try. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think many people who don't like this movie are frightened by the reality of it. I think this was a brilliant movie! It was twisted at times, but so is our society! I would recommend this movie to anyone who is willing to be open-minded and has the ability to look at our society as it really is. WAKE UP!

Summary: Very Very Very Sick, I love it!
Review: The movie is very sick but yet very good. The way it was filmed was brilliant and some of the images were very disdurbing. The guy who made this video is the most brilliant film maker I have ever seen. Everybody thinks that every movie must have a plot but the director prooves that you don't need a stupid plot to have a great film.

Summary: America's True Face!
Review: No film better represents the utter disgust and rejects of America. As a TRUE independent film, "Gummo" pushes taboo subjects to the ultimate limits. It's not for anyone, but everyone should see it. See your true face America!

Summary: Korine is King!
Review: The most unique and interesting film of the year! Print may be dead but video isn't. Korine's latest 'brush stroke' borders on fiction and documentary. Which are the actors -- which are locals. This film cuts into the center of the real world and just so happens to hit the "Trailer Trash" nugget -- which is too much for your average "Jockey on the Lawn", "Star Wars" or "You've Got Mail" sheep. The movie depicts an average day of recuperation for some kids who live in a rural inbred township recently hit buy a deadly tornado. Three-fourths of all the adult males died protecting their families in the event. After that, these young boys had no male guidance.

A MUST OWN masterpiece.

P.S. You know it's good when Hollywood Video and BlockBuster pull it from their shelves.

Bah like a sheep!

Summary: Difficult to Look At
Review: What can you say, without becoming vulgar, about this appalling glimpse at impoverished small town lives. Sure, the inner city has its share of the poor, but their plight has been portrayed and reportrayed to the point of near glorification. This movie, which is as directionless as the lives it portrays, does not glorify its subjects. To the contrary, the film unflinchingly depicts abject squalor and desperation - drug abuse, alcoholism, ignorance, bad hygiene, sexual perversion, ignorance (did I mention ignorance?) - in a way no film has ever previously attempted. Not a whole lot of fun to watch. It's sad to see human lives so bereft of hope.
