Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Funny, charming and endearing.
Review: One of Aniston's best performances, not to menition Paul Rudd's. The movie has the perfect blend of humor, depth and emotion. If done incorrectly, this movie could be dragged down by the weight of the context, but Aniston and Rudd are the perfect combination to give the storyline a hearty and humorous lift. Head-up younger person, and see this movie!

Summary: One man,one woman a perfect love story but he's gay
Review: Nina invited George to live with her after his boyfriend dump him, they start a frienship that makes everything looks like they found the perfect match for each other, but love in this frienship dosn't mix.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Refreshing. Out of the Box. Well done.
Review: I loved this movie for its refreshing portrayal of the possibilities of relationships. Aniston plays a wonderfully affirmative and convincing female lead. Fast, funny, heartfelt and hopeful.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: More plausible than you think
Review: Though serpentine in its plot development, this is a thoroughly enjoyable and --for anyone who has ever been impossibly in love-- totally believable film. Aniston and Rudd plunge into uncharted territory with their "nonsexual agreement," proving affection is a very deep and complex emotion which doesn't much care whether one is gay , straight, bi or whatever.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Bittersweet and funny
Review: Anyone who dismisses this movie as "another Jennifer Aniston flick" is missing out! Aniston and Rudd give sensitive performances in this wonderful film. Anyone who has ever experienced an impossible love will find this movie real and moving.

Review: It's just the qutest and sweetest movie in the world... That's all..

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Sweet & Touching
Review: Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston are wonderful together. They are so tender and real. I especially enjoyed their final dancing scene (at the wedding) --- it was lovely. My only complaint about this movie is that the dialogue was cheapened on so many occasions by unnecessary profanity. Gifted screen writers are able to create dialogue that is rich enough and compelling enough to grab viewers' attention without resorting to words that have no value.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Ultimately boring, with too much sugar.
Review: I agree with the reviewers who said that this is too sugary too often, and is much too long. Anniston is good, the guy playing the gay character isn't as good as he should be. Towards the end of this overlong soap opera, I didn't care what happened to anybody in it.

Summary: A lovely movie
Review: I have watched The Object of My Affection numerous times (they're always running it on the ABC Family Channel), and I have yet to tire of it. It is sweet, touching, funny, and well performed.

Jennifer Aniston is perfectly cast as the lead character, Nina Borowski, and gives an excellent performance that making the viewer feel what she's feeling. Paul Rudd, as her roommate and eventual love interest, is very appealing too. (In my opinion, he doesn't really seem gay, but then again he doesn't really need to. As long as the viewer just accepts the fact that he IS, it works.) John Pankow is great as Nina's irritating boyfriend, Vince. And of course, Nigel Hawthorne does a wonderful job as Rodney. Big surprise.

The best scene in the film is a scene where Nina's overbearing sister, Constance (Allison Janney), descends on Nina and George along with her equally annoying husband (Alan Alda) and daughter (Lauren Pratt). It is so funny, and so well acted.

All in all, The Object Of My Affection rates five stars in my book. Granted, there are some clunky bits in the script (as mentioned in the editorial review), and some bits that require suspension of belief. But those things are easy to ignore, and more than likely, you'll want to watch this film over and over again.
