Summary: Jesus Christ Never Existed.
Review: 'The Miracle Maker - The Story of Jesus' is a famous film some people have seen or at least heard about. Most people fail to realize all of that doesn't matter because Jesus Christ never existed!! Jesus Christ is a mythological figure the church has exploited for hundreds of years and now the film industry has for almost a hundred years. There is absolutely no archeological or historical evidence that Jesus Christ existed. Even if he did exist, it would be highly unlikely he would have received that kind of punishment.
It is a shame that con artists like these filmmakers are using this mythological figure to make millions of dollars. People have to start swaying away from the manipulations of the church and the filmmaking industry and start looking at the hard facts. Jesus Christ and his crucifixion never happened.

Summary: The best non-denominal Christian movie
Review: Although it took me some time to get used to the clay-mation of the video, I found enthralled by this movie which masterfully captured Jesus in a human point. I read a review where someone thought it had a 'dark' tone, which took me by some surprise at first; compared to other movies I have seen of Jesus, I found this the most 'light'. In fact, this is the first movie I have seen where Jesus *smiled* and even laughed. I loved it! I have to admit my favorite part was when either a Sadducce (sp) or Pharisee (sp) called out to Jesus, to trick him, "Teacher!" And they had Jesus turn his head and sigh heavily, obviously thinking, "*Not* again, will they ever stop?" I couldn't stop laughing.

Summary: Jesus the Miracle Maker
Review: As I was watching this program on ABC, I was reminded of Jesus and the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. After their encounter with Jesus, the disciples said in Luke 24:32 "Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road..." That's how I felt. It touched me very deeply, and I was pleased that it remained true to the scriptural texts. What a wonderful surprise on the day in which Christians celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Summary: A joy for the whole family
Review: Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Miracle Maker, as well as our three children, who range in age from 3 to 8. The movie was able to keep all of us fully entertained, while making Christ, and his followers, so real to our children. I can't think of a movie about the life of Christ I have enjoyed more, and I am delighted that my children watched all of it, enraptured. I would highly recommend this loving, caring, informative study of Christ's life and teachings.

Review: Finally a recent film of Jesus that is accurate, entertaining and well done. The animation is great and the Idea of showing the story through a little girls eyes was a great idea!!

Summary: ABC broadcast of this video
Review: For those who missed the ABC-TV broadcast, too bad. It was an excellent production. The claymation does make the movie come alive. I loved the quality of the production and the new angle presented by the writers. A bit jumpy and dis-jointed in spots, but overall a thouroughly delightful event. A must have!

Summary: Miracle Maker - Moving Tribute to our Lord
Review: Having studied the scripture in detail, I was pleased with the accurate portrayal of Christ. The story was presented in such a manner that parents could watch with their children. I must say that this is the first claymation film I have seen that brought me to tears.

Summary: Good for Sunday School
Review: I am 10 years old and saw part of this movie, the part where Jesus died on the cross, in Sunday School. I was raised a Christian and find it to be very biblically correct. Lots of times in it people say exactly what they say in the Bible. I was very disappointed when I found out it only came out on Easter. I can't wait till it comes out on video.

Summary: Memorable retelling
Review: I am a Christian, a former pastor and a would-be New Testament scholar, and yet I must confess that Jesus movies don't excite me a great deal. I loved The Miracle Maker, however.

Ralph Fiennes gives an endearing and original portrayal of Jesus in what strikes me as a fairly original retelling of the gospel story. I enjoyed the creativity of the writing; for example, when Jesus tells Mary, "I can still mend doors... but I'm building something new, now." The animators bring first-century Palestine to life with great vibrancy, and the diversity of accents in the cast (American, English, Scottish) really helps to give the setting a cosmopolitan feel.

The only lowlights for me were the traditional animation/cartoon sequences, which didn't quite work, and were of inferior quality to the clay-animation. Despite that, however, The Miracle Maker is a wonderful film which, at a healthy 90 minutes, I would recommend to children and adults alike.
