Summary: Sex and Lucia
Review: The story pushes you to the limit of possibilties. As the story says if you dont like the ending, at the end of the story there is a little whole that takes you back to the middle of the story and you can rewrite the story to change the outcome. Spanish filmakers have always set the example for giving stories a great plot that mingles your mind to the limit. This is the best movie I seen this last year, I would nominated for Best Foreign Movie if I could. I highly recommended especially for the brainy types that like a pictures other that the predictable Hollywood bombs we get here in the US.

Summary: Sex and feelings in Spain
Review: A good movie representing the new spanish film safra, it presents the story of LucĂa, a woman who is tormented by the sudden changes in her boyfriend's character. After a lot of romance and wild sex, he becomes more silent then usual and starts to treat her in a cold way. His relationship with a woman on a beach, and the child born from this haunts him. Wild sex and romance are the condiments to this good tale about keeping our feelings and problems for ourselves.

Summary: Absolute Bliss
Review: Sex and Lucia is my favorite film of all time. I have never had such enthusiasm for a film before! The beauty of this movie is so multi-dimensional. The love that Lucia and Lorenzo have for each other is deep and enduring, nurturing, accepting and playful. Sex and Lucia is the most positive portrayal of love and sexuality that I have ever witnessed on the big screen. Critics applauded this film as "the steamiest film of the year." Yet, it is more than that. Not only are we able to experience the best of romantic love, we are also offered the very meaning of life. Artfully, so masterfully, Julio Medem brings us the theme that "sometimes you fall through a hole in life, a place where the sun and moon come together. When this happens, you have the power to completely recreate your life." This merger, falling and recreation is what this film is all about. This process of creation underlies the very sexual nature of all existence, which the film illustrates so powerfully. The film guides us deeply into the feminine, deeply into the masculine. We are entranced with the dance of dark and light coming together to produce bliss. The cinematography is absolutely breathtaking. Suspend your mind. You won't be able to follow all the bizarre coincidences, plot twists, and intentionally perception-bending twists and turns, but you will know the power of acceptance and faith in healing a love relationship.

Summary: very intriguing film
Review: having heard virtually very little information about this film, i decided to give it a try as i love foreign or art films. of all the films i've had the displeasure or pleasure of watching, sex and lucia is by far one of the most intoxicating films i've seen yet in the local multiplex cinema. with a structure and characterization unlike most films, lucia may be a film you will have to watch twice before you can truly digest everything. even then, there is quite a bit to chew on. here we have a thought provoking, totally mysterious, and always seductive atmosphere which pulls us in like a black hole leading us to water. off and on throughout the story, we are reminded that the film can literally change it's course at anytime and completely alter all of our character's destinies within less than a breath. while this MOVIE may be worlds away from being called pornography, i still say the film is more graphic or suggestive than the majority of the films we will see this year including another favorite y tu mama tambien. i'm glad to say however that the acting here and story are so well-drawn that everything seems to click here like the screenwriters had perhaps originally intended. i am not sure though if the lighting and the camera movements are intetional here but that gives the film somewhat of an edge and literally compliments the story within the big picture. rather than shying away from a film like lucia because you don't like subtitles or graphic love scenes, give this incredible piece of film making a try. i will gladly add this one to the growing collection of independent art and foreign films once it arrives on dvd.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: This movie is very interesting. However, the director had reached perfection with his "Lovers of the Artic Circle", and "Sex and Lucia" is no way as wonderful and magical as the former. Anyway I recommend this film to everyone who's looking for something different. Enjoy it! Bye.

Summary: Excellent Euro Flick
Review: Over exposed whites that burn in with beautiful azure water and skies. The cinematography is breathtaking. The film itself is simple and appealing in the euro way. Considering that the films was supposed to be about sex (presumably), there wasn't anything really offensive or pornographic about it (as compared to the striking physicality of "Intimacy"). This is a great one for americans to watch because the novelty of the european attitudes that saturate the film are such a nice change from the bizarre anomaly that is american culture. Without this novelty I'd take it down to 3 stars... but it's still a really enjoyable film.

Summary: Intriguing and wonderfully lit film
Review: I've seen this film twice and felt: first that it was a film less about "sex" and more about how "sex" defined the characters and their connections. And second: The cinematography was great. I loved the use of light and the moments shot without dialogue. An interesting story that also allows the audience, at the end of the film, to start again from the middle with a new view on the story.

Summary: LONGER, THICKER, AND UNCUT!!
Review: One of the best movies around! Do you think Hollyhood could come up with something like this ...?
The first time the male is full-frontal and with annnn attitude, Haray for Julio Medem and the great cast of "Sex And Lucia ." It is a little long-in-the-tooth near the end and for the most part the plot is transparent , But that all fade's away with the torrid sex scene's between Paz Vega (Lucia) and Tristan Ulloa (Lorenzo) and a great scene of Daniel Freire (Carlos) on the beach caked in mud What a long scene it was..Heads-up!4 1/2

Summary: WARNING: This movie is NOT in english!
Review: This movie isn't even in english! It stank! Since I don't speak spanish I had to read the tiny subtitles. But it was so boring I fell asleep. If you don't speak spanish, skip this tripe.
