Summary: Great Movie Two Versions
Review: This is an excellent humorous movie, but if you get a chance see the version that is 105 minutes long on video rather than the 98 minute version. There's more to enjoy and it makes more sense.

Summary: NOT THE WAY IT IS UP HERE
Review: BEING FROM MINNESOTA I WAS OFFENDED BY THE WAY MINNESOTANS WERE PORTRAYED. FIRST OF ALL SINCE WHEN IS FARGO IN MINNESOTA. SECONDLY THERE IS NO INTERSTATE RUNNING BY BRAINARD AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE WAY THAT THE ACTORS WERE SPEAKING IS ABOUT 1% OF THE POPULATION OF MINNESOTA'S ACCENT.THIS MOVIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESEARCHED ALOT BETTER BEFORE THEY MADE IT. THIS MOVIE IS DOWN THERE WITH THE SNAILS AND MUD.

Summary: The Coen Brothers are pure genius; McDormand awesome
Review: Like Siskel and Ebert, I could watch "Fargo" every week and then some. From Blood Simple, to Raising Arizona, to Fargo, the Coen Brothers continue to amaze me. Frances McDormand's Marge Gunderson was one of the most lovable characters I've ever watched. The scene in the restaurant with the high school friend was brilliant and hilarious. William Macy was perfectly cast and I kept talking to my TV and telling him what an idiot he was. I could almost feel the bitter chill and snow of Fargo; this movie ranks high, way high on my list and I was thrilled when it was included in the Top 100 movies that CBS aired some time ago. If there were such a thing as a 10 star movie, Fargo would rate it.

Summary: A real life movie of a Minnesota murder spree.
Review: Saying this movie is good is an understatment this movie is UNBELIEVABLE. Joel and Ethan Coen showed their true dark selves through actors W.H. Macy, Frances McDormand (who one an Oscar for her performance as a pregnant cop, Margie)and Peter Stormare. The Coen brothers one up them selves as they stay in their true dark comedy selves. Casting in this movie was great.

Summary: Tremendous Movie!
Review: Fascinating contrast of the mundane with the horrible

Summary: Bad.
Review: After ripping off Francis Coppola and Dashiell Hammett (Miller's Crossing), Chuck Jones (Raising Arizona), David Lynch (Barton Fink), Preston Sturges and Frank Capra (The Hudsucker Proxy), the Coen Brothers can find no one else to rip off but themselves. So they give us a retread of Blood Simple. And God is it a bore.

Summary: Classic
Review: Like all the Coen Brothers' films, this demands repeated viewing. My wife hated it this the first time she watched it. However, after I had given her a damn good thrashing and forced her to see it again, she now appreciates just what a great film it really is. Who cares if it does not have 'a point'. Is it really meant too? The characters are all extreme, yet the acting and script is so good that it makes them seem believable.

Summary: Not too funny with sick sense of humor
Review: I didn't understand what the point this movie was trying to get across. A pregnant police officer out to get the killers? Come on! If not for the car dealer, I'd of given this movie two stars.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Movie
Review: In my top 5 movies. Like anything that is truly great, it isnt really possible to express why it is. You should definately watch this movie.
