Summary: The Right Combinations-Characters, Setting and Music
Review: A beautiful movie that is confirmed by my wife who would much rather classify it as the stereotypical "Woman's Romance." However, I beg to differ with her, this is one to be shared between both. The chemistry between Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant is much more than magical and even while Scott's character is weaker than Julia Roberts' previous roles, she easily manages to pull out a superb performance. The supporting cast equally deserves mention for providing support to what is truly a "surreal" romantic comedy. Bonuses: Don't miss the collector's edition's deleted scenes (including an alternative final ending) and the music highlights.

Summary: Notting Hill
Review: A typical romantic comedy, with a few memorable moments and laugh-out-loud experiences, but not anything to get excited over. Acting=good, Plot=could be better, Location=very cute, Supporting actors/actresses=The best part! Still, it is a worthy watch i guess.

Summary: This is great!
Review: The movie Notting Hill is a wonderful romantic movie. Julia Roberts is perfect at her role (she should be, seeing as she's playing another actress!) The screenwriters have really brought alive the true sense of being an actress in this great movie. If you're in to romantic comedies at all, this is the one to see!

Summary: not this time
Review: i really waa excited about seeing a romantic comedy and it was just a disapointment. the story was kinda dragged out until near the end and then eveything became so sudden and happened in the last 15-20 minutes of the movie. the "budding" romance between Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant to me was not real...it just didn't seem touching.

Summary: Better Than I Thought
Review: I thought this video was very good. Set in a typical, British atmosphere, this video details the life of a world-famous actress and a book-salesman. A very interesting video with my favourite character being Spike. He's weird and funny. Quite a good content and It's altogether an Average sortof video.

Summary: A Good Movie -- Not Great
Review: I found the story a little unbelievable, but, nonetheless, entertaining. Of the performances, I found Hugh Grant's the most noteworthy.

Summary: IT WORKS
Review: Notting Hill has charm to spare. Showcasing in a wonderfully perfect role the luminous Julia Roberts, as a gigantic movie star no less, the movie tells a modern-day fairy tale with wit, geniune emotion and big laughs. Set in a picturesque British village, and featuring a supporting cast of characters you will want to be your friends, Notting Hill feeds your fantasies from its first moments. Hugh Grant, of the fluttering eyelids and stammering, nervous chatter, is a perfect foil for Julia's star. Lovely attention to detail, as in a wondrous sequence marking the change of seasons on the village's streets, add a colorful resonance to this movie, which is also underscored by a well-chosen series of pop songs. By the time the fairy tale reaches its finale, you will feel satisfied, a smile on your face from ear to ear.
