Summary: Nightmare Special Edition Is Awesome
Review: This new edition is sweet. Enhaced for great picture and sound so you can blast those wounderful songs to drown out your horrable singing voice as you sing along. And the special features and Burton's short movies are a must for the hard-core Burton fan... our any body. Tim Burton is a genius and i cant wait to see what he does next!

Summary: great clay movie
Review: Wonderful halloween/christmas tale with neat characters and fun songs. The ending could have been better but it falls in the movie rule "any film that has anything to do with Tim Burton no matter how fresh and original has a cliched ending" which isn't really bad here. Wonder animations, must have taken them forever to get such smooth movement from claymation. Great voice acting, great movie!

oh yeah, this is NOT a Tim Burton movie if you havent noticed.

Summary: Dany Elfman Score
Review: This has to be my favorite Tim Burton film. Danny Elfman's music/lyrics to this film are completley phenomenal. It adds the perfect touch to the film. It has the perfect mood which makes it a "Tim Burton" film. Danny Elfman's music is the only thing that can cure all your problems and make you happy again!

Summary: Spooky Halloween meets Jolly Christmas
Review: "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is a different kind of Christmas movie. It's about the pumpkin king, Jack Skellington who gets tired of the same old routine of celebrating Halloween every year and being the king of where he lives at. He finds a place called Christmas Town that he thoroughly enjoys and wants the rest of the town to experience. Unlike the spooky town that he lives in, Christmas Town is a jolly place where everybody is happy and doesn't argue all the time.

I think Tim Burton did a great job with "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I seen it when it first came out on video and I still like watching it. Cartoon wise the effects and visuals couldn't have been done any better, and you'll notice that when you see the 3D effects along with some things that even look real such as the sky at night. The movie will give you a great feel of what it would be like if Halloween and Christmas were mixed together to come as one. The songs couldn't have been done any better for the movie. "This Is Halloween" and "What's This" are two of the best songs.

If you like Christmas or Halloween cartoons, I would recommend getting "The Nightmare Before Christmas." It's a movie that kids and adults can both like.

Summary: I would have given it ten stars....
Review: I'm a 15 year old girl, and I just love this movie. It's dark, humorous and the songs are just great. Jack Skellington's songs are very nice, my personal favourite is the part when he sings about the "same old thing" and wandering around with Zero tagging behind him. My four year old brother loves it too! In fact, he watches it about 5 times a day. Please, just do yourself a favour and add this to your collection, it's just great!

Summary: Mesmerizing from start to finish!
Review: This is one of my favorite films of all time. The story and animation are superb, and Danny Elfman's soundtrack stands on its own. We watched this over and over and know all the songs by heart and quote the best lines from the movie. Every Halloween since it came out, I started the tradition of projecting this DVD on a sheet across our garage door. Everyone loves it, kids and adults alike!

Summary: A Big Surprise
Review: Surprieingly Light-Hearted story of the efforts to rescue Santa Claus before evil creatures take over the holiday. The animation is somewhat crude, but the story will in it's own way, make you feel good about the holidays. Brought to you again by the team of Tim Burton and Danny Elfman.

Summary: Rankin/Bass lives again
Review: The Nightmare Before Christmas is a wonderful tribute to the Arthur Rankin, Jr. and Jules Bass style of "Animagic." The denizens of Halloweentown surely attended the "Mad Monster Party" along with Vincent Price.

This film is very artful and atmospheric. Both Christmastown and Halloweentown are fully realized with little surprises in every frame. The puppets movements are smooth and fluid, even the facial expressions. Story and style blend flawlessly as Jack Skellington yearns for something that he doesn't quite understand. Danny Elfman's score is appropriately spooky and moves the film along. The songs are well sung and add to the depth of the story. A very nice blend of childlike horror and fantasy.

Summary: My favorite movie.....EVER!
Review: I believe this movie is one of the masterpiece of Tim Burton's work. I love his dark jokes and the all the characters in this movie. Every character has his/her own personality and carefully designed. I love 3 bad kids in this movie so much. I can see this movie another 100 times!

Summary: Another masterpeice by Burton
Review: I really find myself amazed at Tim Burton's talent. His dreamy, dark feel that mark all of his movies, is present in this one. This feel, is exactly what gives Nightmare it's charm and quality. The plot is good, centered more as a modern child's fairy tale then anything else. The music is great, even for people who don't normally like musical cartoons (like myself). The characters I think are what decide this film more then anything for me. Jack Skelington, Oogie Boogie, and Sally are really my favorites. The stop motion, clay look really lends itself beautifully to the characters, and makes me wish I had some of the original models used while shooting the film. This really is a great movie, and should be a staple in any Burton Collector's library, and really a good move for anyone to watch.
