Summary: 100% genuine death scenes!
Review: A lot of Mondo movies are full with faked death scenes, but none of the events depicted here were reconstructed in any way. Banned from Televison was refused a certificate in this country by the censors, who thought it was "irresponsible". I don't understand it when people say to watch this sort of video is sick - it's life! These people are narow minded and have to ask themselves why they watched it themselves! I've actually seen quite a few of the clips on this DVD on a TV series called "World's Most Amazing Videos" and other Mondo tapes like "Traces of Death 2". The final few scenes however, I hadn't seen, and were some of the grossest things you could ever see: a man burned alive by a mob and a woman hit by a train stick in the memory the most. Don't listen to those who say its sick to watch these films...this is a film for the genuinely adventerous film goer.

Summary: THIS SHOCKS...BECAUSE THE TRUTH HURTS
Review: After hearing so much about this DVD I just had to find out what all the fuss was about. Oh my god!!...I was totally shocked and amazed at some of the raw, graphic footage on show here. It brings to light some of the sad aspects of human life and how fragile we all really are..it also demonstrates the inhumanity of man to himself, as well as the stupid risks people take to impress others. I found myself stunned at the various faces of death and hope no one is unfortunate to suffer some of the very painful and sad images here. Anyone who is weak hearted should avoid this , otherwise it makes for a fascinating insight into the darker side of human nature.

Summary: Very Enlightening
Review: After I purchased Banned from Television, I watched it four times straight. Reason I watched this documentary over and over is because after I was done watching it the first time I immediately called all my buddies and had them come over and watch it. There was many, many scenes that I had to rewind to see again.

This video in not for the person with the weak stomach. This video is nothing like Faces of Death. This is all live footage with nothing made up. A few scenes will make you laugh and most others will make you say, "Man, glad I don't live in that country."

Here is a brief description of some of the stuff you'll see:

1) Hostages with guns pointing at their heads and sharpshooters coming to the rescue.

2) Whenever you see the name of a city in "Brazil" at the bottom of the screen, prepare to see something devastating. It looks like Brazil doesn't believe in taking people to jail.

3) In my opinion, the top two most eye-widening scenes are, one, when a man is tied to a tree then set ablaze and two, when a lady gets hit by a train.

People who watch these videos are Not sick individuals. We don't get ammused or turned on by watching people die. Inside, all were looking for is something to "Wow" or "Woe" us. The video lives by its subtitle, "It Will Shock You!"

Review: For someone with a weak heart like me, I needed to watch this DVD to completely destroy my weakness from the inside. But still I do not recommend it for anybody with weak hearts... it took me some time to be able to watch this and accept it... but I am glad that I did.

This is a MASTER PIECE! For all fans of such interests, this is a must buy!

After the disappointment of Faces Of Death being nothing but lies and crap... there could be nothing as good as this! I wish if someone could tell me where can I find good DVD's as this one but apparently there isn't any!

This DVD shows you how blessed we are not to face such tragedies... there are so many violant scenes that are so cruel but still it is worth watching since you can never see anything like this out there in the world (THANK GOD)!

Summary: Change your life
Review: I admit it. I'm a total sucker for those "reality" based TV specials. FOX's "world's wildest" anything... ...It's that part of our psyche that makes us slow down when passing a gruesome car-wreck, hoping to see some other soul's misfortune. Most don't want to admit their fascination with the suffering of others, but it's time to come clean.
BANNED FROM TELEVISION 1 is probably the best "mondo" style video collection I've ever seen. It's a brutal collection of human misery caught on video from all over the world. The thing that makes this tape better than others in the genre, is the professionalism in which the material is presented. The viewer feels like he/she is watching an educational documentary. Of course it's total exploitation, but if it's presented in a serious manner we can all feel like we're learning something... And we are. There is a lot to be said for this sort of viewing experience. It's a lesson in human mortality, and man's inhumanity to man.
The footage on this tape can be hard to stomach. There's lots of very real blood and gore. You see a guy get shot in the neck. You see someone get completely obliterated by walking into a moving train.
The only drawback to this tape is the lame "sexy" stuff they threw in. I know it falls under the umbrella of footage that was "banned" from TV, but it's all just softcore junk that doesn't fit in, and isn't in the least bit shocking. It seems like it's on the tape as a ploy to get the interest of people that get excited over the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
If you are interested in "reality" video, or have watched movies like FACES OF DEATH for a cheap thrill, you'll be doing yourself a favor by picking up BANNED FROM TELEVISION. It's one of those movies that you aren't really allowed to say you like it. You just have to say: "oh yes, I found it very interesting and disturbing". Unlike garbage like FACES OF DEATH, everything on this tape is REAL. ...and REAL SICK. You will walk away from it a changed person. Before you view the tape you have to ask yourself... "do I want to walk away from this a changed person?"

Summary: Doesn't Get Any Better
Review: I could be wrong, but there's something about seeing a human being take a shotgun blast to the chest at point blank range that just can't be beat. (Don't feel bad, he was a possible rioter.) Yes folks, this DVD has that and much, much more.

If you like Cops, buy this DVD. If you like World's Scariest Police Chases, buy this DVD. If you like watching stunts go wrong, buy this DVD. If you watch NASCAR for the crashes, buy this DVD. If you get queasy watching real people get shot, lit on fire, hit by cars, run over by trains, get naked at Mardis Gras, fall off of large antenna's and die, don't buy this DVD. This is true reality TV folks. Keep Survivor, bring on the pain!

Summary: O the Humanity!
Review: If you're desirous to view raw, explicit material that is unadulterated than this is the DVD for you. It has it all, and they save one of the best scenes for last! You'll enjoy watching your fellow man take the stupid risks which end in disaster! Furthermore, you'll end up realizing how fragile life is, and hopefully after viewing this you'll take more precautions and remember that your own life is worth more than eluding police, or causing a riot.

Summary: Save your money, borrow this one from a friend.
Review: It is ok to watch if you like this kind of stuff, but you will not want to watch it again. It is not worth the money!
