He was a most remarkable man who was incorruptible and fearless in the face of Al Capone and Chicago's organized crime syndicates. Melvin Purvis was an FBI agent who tracked down some of the most notorious bank robber gangs to plague the Midwest. Thomas E. Dewey took on Lucky Luciano and the New York mafia families.
