Summary: I wish I had bought this combo package! Five stars * * * * *
Review: I bought the two video's separately because they didn't have them offered as a package at the time. I love each of the video's and watch them frequently. I also loan them out to my friends from time to time. The video's made a good addition to my library and I highly recommend them to anyone IN or OUT of the business. If you want to give a good massage you need to know the basics. These two video's remind me of the basic and intermediate techniques - and having them to watch from time to time is an excellent refresher course right in the privacy of my home.

Summary: Cool video set with loads of information.
Review: I stumbled upon this video set not knowing much about massage. Its a two video box set with one video for basic and one for advanced massage.This is just what I needed. If anything, it's a little too much information. Good thing I have a video to watch as often as I need. I'd recommend this and I think I'll probably get it as a gift for a couple people when Christmas rolls around.

Summary: A good begining to imtermediate DVD set
Review: I was getting this set not really knowing what to expect but then I was pleasantly suprised. Well, I should say my boyfriend was the one who got the good suprise. I played the DVD in his bedroom and used him to follow along with the instructor. I got pretty good if I don't mind saying so myself...all thanks to these videos. Thank you.

Summary: Glad I bought the combo pack!!!
Review: I'm glad I found this combo pack instead of buying individually. The DVD's really are meant to go together. Good information for anyone whether you're in the business or just want to give a good massage to family and friends. It's easy to understand - easy to watch and having the DVD's on hand makes it great for showing to friends who want to know more about how I give such GREAT MASSAGES!!!! I recommend this to EVERYONE!

Summary: Throw away the first DVD, second is OK.
Review: So far I have watched the first DVD, the Basic volume. 99% of the video is watching someone give a massage from one of two camera angles. Occasionally they will zoom to show more detail. My complaints are that they only breifly tell you what two strokes are used, which are named terms I had never heard before. They should have reinforced the description again. Instead the video has many quiet moments listening to the soft repeating soudntrack. They don't tell how hard to stroke, or what muscles should be targeted, etc. Just use your figertips or thumb in circular motions. Also, since we are just watching someone give/get a massage, we end up seeing everything repeated (left side, then right side.) Then we will see and hear explained, lift the arm and put it on teh back to expose the clavicle". But we are not told why, or what is the advantage or etc. Did I mention the voice overs where taped later, and not even given by the person giving the massage. And there aren't that many, and they don't help much. Also since there are only two camera angles, the view will be blocked some times by the person giving the massage. I am serious, the person giving the massge will be using her hands, and you can't even see her hands. This will be the case while she is working on that part of the body. I guess the good (???) news is that everything is repeated on the other side of the body. It seems all the other posts that were highly reated, were perhaps done by the book seller? Somethign is wrong, this is not five stars, it is just a taped massage session. So, I only rate this good if you want to watch a taped massage session.
----------- I have now watched the second video. The second is much better. It is the way a massage video should be. Explanations of techniques, better camera angles, etc. I feel like throwing the first video away. The second video is OK. Swedish and accupressure massages. As someone mentioned the white board is hard if not immpossible to see all of. But it was a minor part of the video. I did have to fast forward through the first five minutes as the guy was talking about himself and not massage. I definatly do not think these two videos will be complete training for someone that wants to learn massage therapy. Unfortiantly that is why I bought them. I would give the second video three stars. The first video is one star, so average for both videos is two stars.

Summary: A complete waste of time
Review: This is a deceiving massage dvd, I have written this review 3 times and always been deleted. The first dvd is by a guy showing basic swedish massage, note her face is cut out from the cover, see it then you understnd why her face is hidden. The second dvd is blurry, looks like being made using a home video camera. The first part demonstrate some kind of massage technique, and the second part the guy give lecture on anatomy of muscle with hand drawing on a white board. Looks like being made on his backyard.
Note deceiving labels "#1 Best Seller" (by whom?)
"A must see" by Dr Heith Root, who is this guy?

Summary: Pleased as Punch! Five Stars * * * * *
Review: What a great package! Having both the Basic and the Pro in one package walked us (wife and myself) through the entire gamut without having to spend money on two separate DVD's. They were well produced and professionally done. I appreciate the way they helped me understand how to approach the client and made it well worth the money. The package is something I can share with my wife who is just beginning and she doesn't feel like she's lost. It brings her along at her speed and at a pace she can feel comfortable with. Thanks!
