Summary: strange and funny
Review: If you like to see something strange and funny then do not miss this movie. Put together "X-Files" and "Pulp Fiction", the result would be "Repo Man". This move has been made in early 80s, but it actually feels like a movie from 90s.

Summary: This edition is not what we were waiting for...
Review: "Repo Man", a ***** movie that had legions of fans waiting for the DVD release got totally ripped by both this "special packaging" and in the standard package. As every good fan knows, there is much great material connected with this cult classic that could have been included (hence the delay in release, we thought), but this disc has no additional material whatsoever. Nothing of the "special TV edit" (with extra scenes), no interviews, outtakes or production photos. The audio commentary would have been helped with the presence of the film's stars, Stanton or Estivez. And what's with this new edit? The opening credits are totally different and the sound is mixed weird, like the music is overpowering the dialogue. As for the clumsy, hard-to-shelve tin box version, the disc therein is exactly the same as the standard version. So, unless you really need the soundtrack and an unappealing booklet, save yourself the bucks. It ain't worth the (list) $. VERY disappointed!! Let Criterion release this next time!

Summary: repo man
Review: repo man is a gripping tale of a young man in a coming of age story reminisant of friday the 13th part two. as the great james lipton would say this movie is a journey through the eyes of renegade filmmaker alex cox veiwed through a fisher price viewfinder with slides of farm animals with the plastic orange handle stuck on the giraffe slide. although this film was not the "feel good movie of the year" i feel you will enjoy this movie after a binge drinking session or a small chronic break **** "four stars" raved Nicholas Medico jr.

Summary: Boring and painful
Review: Rarely have I seen such a boring film. Nothing against punk or alternative movies but this movie was revolting: RevoMan ....

Avoid it if you can. Buy something better...

Summary: All The Goodies
Review: For me this is one of the most important movies to come out of the eighties. It really tells the tale. You know what it is about so I won't give you a synopsis. This Special Edition has all the goodies in addition to the classic movie. The soundtrack is worth the price alone. Definately a must have for the collector and 80's movies crazed alike. You'll love it.

Summary: A Punk Rock Relic
Review: This snapshot of punk attitude has aged remarkably well, certainly better than most of the punks of the time (myself included). A true cult classic worthy of the term, Repo Man is still funny and fun. While kids weaned on "Clueless," "Coyote Ugly," and anything starring the wretched Freddie Prinze Jr. may not get it, anyone who has a fondness for the time certainly will. If you haven't seen this in a while and would like to own a relic of the time, do yourself a favor and add this to your collection.

And what a package! The limited special edition comes in a numbered tin box that looks like a license plate and includes both the DVD AND the entire CD, with Punk Rock classics from Black Flag, The Circle Jerks, and Fear. Kind of pricey, but if you're a sellout former punk now working for the so-called man like me and all my former punk friends, you can afford it.

Summary: Archetypal repo man... the T RUTH is in the TRUNK!
Review: This is not your basic repo man movie. This is the archetypal film by which the entire repo man mythology will be forever measured...and pale in comparison. Harry Dean Stanton plays omniscient, coke-snorting Bud...MASTER of the CODE...who is guardian and purveyor of the REPO MAN ARCANA. Emilio Estevez essays the heroic initiate's role of Otto. As appealing as the role could have been, Otto is presented as a smart-ass punk characterized by RUDE and SEXIST macho. HE IS THE REPO MAN. An irradiated Chevy Malibu driven by a lobotomized Los Alamos aggie summons The Budster and Otto to the ultimate Repo Man Quest. Various ordeals and dangers confront them in the form of X-FILE-like agents, soul-mate punkers and the muy feo Rodriguez brothers. To reveal too much about this cult classic would be too much other than to state: THE TRUTH IS IN THE TRUNK. Production values, FX and Sid Vicious-ilk sound track are worthily strewn about creating an aura of very Mad Max, Pee Wee Herman and Revenge of the Three Stooges minus One. REPO MAN is a meretricious epic, inane and astutely goofy. It is bad enough to be BAD and good. 5 Stars? Don't let Cox kid you...remember the CODE.

Summary: LIFE-CHANGING
Review: Brilliance abounds all over this ingenius social commentary. Everything from the weird noises twisting throughout the film, which will be heard in the background outside long after the viewing, to the unforgetable walking down the sidewalk in despair scene --- ohhh..... Complexly simple, MASTERFUL EXECUTION. To the critics of the cynicism of the film, analyze what's being said and why it might be so. Overall, great film and soundtrack. See it sometime in your lifetime.

Review: WHO THE HELL WANTED A SPECIAL EDITION OF THIS DAMN FILM ?

Summary: The more you drive the less intelligent you are.
Review: This box set for THE MOST QUOTABLE film of all time is killer. It includes the soundtrack, which is Awesome, as well as a comic book and the DVD, with re-mastered sound, which is incredible, as well as director and actor commentary, which is hilarious as well as insightful. While listening to the commentary you can tell that these people really love film, and are passionate about it, and that is what it is all about. If you haven't seen this one, by all means see it. It is hilarious as well as a social commentary. The characters Cox created are so original and interesting: They are the heart and soul of this punk masterpiece. If you enjoy funny dialogue, interesting characters, and great punk music this is the film for you, know what I mean?
