Summary: Keep the crackers handy...
Review: As there is plenty of cheese to come. Intergalactic aliens that love fast cars, Heavy Metal and sex - and now their on earth. Don't worry about the poor acting, grainy shots and the heavy doses of poor West coast 80's metal: it's brilliant.From the opening shots of a Ferrari downshifting onto a park footpath and totalling an old gimmer in a wheelchair, you realise the action has an edge. Firmly tongue in cheek it remains fastpaced and remarkably enjoyable for something with about as much realism as Dark Angel - a film to which it bears more than a passing resemblance. Buy it now it's worth every penny, a 'B' movie that deserved better.

Summary: Excellent Hollywood-style Entertainment Product
Review: Based on a Hal Clement novel from the late 40's, The Hidden is an excellent updating of a sci-fi classic. A near-perfect mix of basic science fiction, fast paced action, humor and B-movie thrills, The Hidden also features excellent performances from the leads and supporting actors and great special effects. I personally classify this as a drive-in movie, but that does it a disservice, particularly when you compare it to the usual crappy product out there. Makes a great double feature when you pair it with Tremors.

Summary: The First X-Files Movie.
Review: Creepy and incoherent film about a series of gruesome murders in Los Angeles which point to an extra-tresstrial vistor who likes to not only kill but also use humans as play things. An LA cop and his new partner (who may also come from another planet) must stop the killings before it turns into something much bigger. Needlessly violent and vulger with no redempting virtues what so ever.

A nice surprise of an action-science fiction feast, pitting police detective Michael Nouri and federal agent Kyle MacLachlan to join forces against an unknown evil. When a bizarre series of crimes wreck havoc on the streets of Los Angeles, California, the two discover that they may be up against a slithery alien intruder that wants to take over the world. MacLachlan's behavior gets stranger and stranger as the film goes on, prompting Nouri to suspect that he may have something to do with it. Director Sholder creates a "Lethal Weapon" on extra-terrestrial steriods, creating an original and amusing cop-buddy flick that is satisfyingly different. While the script is fairly bogus and the performances are only mediocre, the action sequences and special effects are very well-done. Not a film that should cause anyone to drop all of their things and watch at once, but an exciting motion picture that will gratify those who enjoy many genres.

Summary: B-movie gem
Review: Extremely sly and clever low-budget SF gem about a body-snatching alien on the run from a very oddball cop. ("Twin Peaks" fans will be tickled to know the cop is played by none other than Kyle Maclaughlan.) Great use of a small production, fast-moving fun all around. Recommend this to friends who don't normally like SF. (Dig Claudia Christian's cameo as the self-fondling prostitute.)

Summary: Underappeciated gem
Review: I just watched this tonight for the first time in about 10 years and it is still a GREAT, yes, GREAT, SF movie. Awesome performances by Nouri and MacLachlan. A superb buddy movie aside from the SF elements. Great performances by every supporting actor in the cast (when's the last time you saw that in any movie?). Claudia Christian is sexier with her clothes on than most actresses today stark naked. A very dry sense of humor pervades this movie. Very well done.

Summary: Surprisingly enough, I actually liked the movie.
Review: I originally was only interested in this one because I knew that William Boyett was in it. I didn't particularly think that I would like it at all, but I enjoyed most of it. It has a bit more violence than I like, and an occasional use of language that got on my nerves, but I still found it very entertaining.

Summary: Not your typical Sci/Fi flick
Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this Hidden gem. It starts out with a high speed chase and keeps building. The story is weak in spots but can be over looked for the great cameo of Claudia Christian as a stripper. In fact that was the main reason I bought the movie and ended up with a good little thriller.
