Rating: Summary: Still scares, after all these years! Review: As wih many others,I saw this movie for the first time as a youngen, always having to hide my head in a pillow. Now,about seventeen years later,I found it in a movie retail shop, and own it!! It is worth adding to your video collection. What makes it even more of an eerie movie is the skin crawling soundtrack. The unexpected humor is also a plus, but of course as a child,I did'nt recall the humor, only the gore!If you are a hardcore zombie fan as I am,do not hesitate to pick up this classic!
Rating: Summary: Acting is campy but good Review: I saw this movie on TV when I was six and couldn't watch any movies that had zombies in them for years! Recently, I saw it again, and it was still pretty creepy. The movie has a lot more humor in it than I remembered, and while it is pretty campy, I still laughed out loud a couple of times. The best thing about it is how freaky the corpses look, especially Orville. The ending is predictable, but also unexpected. Worth getting if you're a zombie movie fan.
Rating: Summary: Buy it now! you'll never see anything scarier Review: This has got to be the best horror movies I have seen in a long time. I rented it for fun thinking it would just be something to watch for laughs. But man o man did it scare me. I haven't been that scared since John Carpenter's classic, halloween. if you love horror movies add this to your collection now!!!!
Rating: Summary: gave me the willies Review: like some others, I saw this film when I was young (maybe 7-8), and it left an impression on me, giving me the willies, especially the seen where they kill somebody up against the tree. To my surprise, I found it on tape several years ago at the local video store and it was a lot campier than I remembered. Funny how as a kid, it gave me nightmares.
Rating: Summary: Undead fun with a blend of campy humor and zombie horror. Review: Alan, the eccentric leader of a film company and his troop of misfit actors visit a small secluded graveyard to dabble in witchcraft and have some fun with the dead. But after fumbling with a satanic spell, the dead really do come back to life with a craving for blood! Made in the early 70's, this film is a lot of fun in which it took the living dead theme and gave it a new direction which has been copied many times since. A highly enjoyable (but strange) film full of horror and humor. Rumor has it it may see the light of day on DVD soon!
Rating: Summary: Campy, yet scary--a low-budget classic! Review: I'll never forget the first time I saw CSPWDT. It was on a hot, sleepless summer nite back in 81, and I was channel surfing. A zombie-flick connoisseur, I was initially intrigued, then engrossed, then too scared to move, even to get up to pee! By far, it's the scariest movie I've ever seen on telly, despite the film's low budget and camp. Imagine Romero as an undergrad, collaborating with Virginia Wolfe on a "Living Dead" sequel while shrooming. Get yourself a plate of barbequed chicken, plant your tongue firmly in cheek, and enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Loved this flick! Wish I could get a hold of a copy!! Review: This was a pretty sick movie I saw as a kid. I think I remember it as kind of a Night of the Living Dead flick where these teens go and dig up a corpse named Orville from a graveyard. THey take him to some abandoned house and prop him up in a chair. They keep telling sick jokes like "Orville, you're such a CAD - AVER!!" and "Orville, you must keep a STIFF upper lip!!! I think they steal a ring from him or something, and if I remember correctly, a bunch or corpses come out of the graveyard and try to kill the teens. Great entertainment! I'm sure I had nightmares!
Rating: Summary: Very good to scare a new date or just great movie fun. Review: When I saw this fright fest, I was about 8 or 9 years old. My idea of the images being shown kept me awake for at least a week. I can't wait to see it again.
Rating: Summary: frightening to me as a child Review: I saw it on tv when I was about 10 years old. It frightened me, but I'd like to see it again.
Rating: Summary: So bad it is funny Review: and not intentionally. A fun flick to watch at least 1 just for sheer idiocy reasons.
