Review: I really hated this movie. I guess it's because when I saw "Phantasm" in the late 80's when there was a lot more to horror movies than that. I thought the plot was a crock however, I did watch "Phantasm 2" when it came out, and in my opinion it was way better than the first one.

Summary: The Ultimate 70"s horror expirience.
Review: Watch this expiriment in horror/cheesiness, and you'll wanna hang out with Mike, Jody and everyone's favorite ice cream dude Reggie. You'll want to cruise to the local Tavern in the Cuda, and try and pick up hot chicks in lavender at the local Tavern while trying to ditch the annoying Mike....but all the while the ominous Tall Man is searching for your soul. Cool horror flick just cheesy-eerie and scary enough. The extras on the DVD are second to none...watch for the ultra cool interview with Angus "Boooyyyy!" Scrimm and director Coscarelli by an ultra hip seventies dude wearing a polyester leisure suit! The on-screen commentary by all the principals is a must if you are a hard-core Phantasm fan. Angus Scrimm is a real smart aleck, and very funny. Too many others to list, but this is a must buy if you love Phantasm...highly recommended.

Review: I remember when this movie first came out! It was different, and you really didn't know what the hell was going on, at first! I really like this movie because at the time, the producers had the guts to try and do somethig different! This movie spawned 4 more sequals, but none of them matched up to the original!

Review: Dont think too much about it. It is full of plot holes and weaker than a rotten pine coffin at times but hey, its brilliant and pretty scary most of the time! If you like Horror with a touch of the surreal then definatley check this one out! It is a true original and in a class by itself in this often retread horror genre!

Review: I won't waste your time trying to explain the plot. It is what you watch the film for. I won't tell you it's terrifying, because it isn't. I won't tout the actors as some of the finest in Hollywood. They were all "outside" of that genre (thank God). What I will say is that if you love to laugh, and get a few shocks, and experience a creepy, and twisted tale that gets so convoluted you can't really be sure what is coming next, then Phantasm is your ticket to ride. It's fun, sometimes scary, and visually it is striking, especially when you consider the budget of the film, and the period in which it was shot. But if you have seen this film, previously,you already know it's extreme value in horror cinema's history. So why buy it? THE EXTRAS!!! This is Coscarelli's gift to the fans!!!! Lots of home movies shot during the making of the film!!! Interviews!!! Deleted scenes!!! Digital sound!!! The actors, and the director, even have a commentary track you can listen to, while you watch the film: providing great insights into the making of this fine work. Many humorous anecdotes, and behind-the-scenes stories are related. Wide screen play!!! Uncut!!! Even a full audio track of the song "Sitting Here at Midnight"!!! If you loved the movie, you must buy this DVD!!! The "Tall Man" commands it! ENJOY!!!

Review: PHANTASM is a weird science fiction/horror film. The story is basically about a teenager named Mike, his older brother Jody, and their best friend, ice-cream man/part time practicing rock star Reggie who discover that some weird things are going on at the local funeral home. It seems that a mysterious being known as The Tall Man is turning the bodies of the dead into killer dwarfs, putting them into barrels and shipping them off into another dimension. It's up to our three heroes to try to find a way to stop The Tall Man before they become dwarfs themselves! This movie has horror, action, a little humor, and a flying sphere ball that punctures human skulls and eats the brain.
