Summary: "BOOOOOOOYYYYYY" This Was Great Movie
Review: The one that started it all, if you love horror,action,and mystery this ones for you. It starts with a sex scene in a cemetary(im only 13 by the way lol) and a funeral right after that thats where we meet our heros Jody, Reggie,and young Mike Jody(the mikes big bro) dosen't want Mike at funeral,but Mike dosen't listen and spies on the funeral where he sees strange happenings,and a very tall man who lifts a coffin all by him or itself and takes out of the grave loads back into the hearse and takes for his own evil purposes Mike,Reg,and Jody go to check it out and encounter dwarves which are re-animated corpses downsized and Mike sees this flying silver sphere that has some deadly devices. This is fun to watch and has spawned 3 sequals that are written and directed by Don Coscarelli. It is quite enjoyable and for you car lovers it has a hemicuda in the movie.

Review: What do I say. Saw it as a kid (30 now) spent years trying to find out what the name of it was, now I have it and it's 3 companions. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER.....I'm salivating over this new edition. Just ordered it. If it's anywhere as good as the movie itself I'll probably wear it out like I did my VHS copy....TO sum up - The best 13 bucks you'll ever spend....

Review: A great cult classic movie. I saw this as a kid and it took me years to find it on VHS and later DVD. The additional scenes are much to talk about, but just to have the movie in a DVD format is worth the price.

Summary: God bless the Tallman!
Review: He is truly eternal. He is the tallman. When watching this DVD, I could not help but think how cool the tallman is. This is not really a very scary movie. But its slick. Its stylish. Its icy cool. After viewing some of the extras on the disc (and their are quite a few) its interesting to see how different Angus scrimm is from his Tallman Character. I was expecting some grim, downcast grouch who was embarrased to be typecast as this tallman. Instead he revels in it. Oh well. Very enjoyable and a worhty DVD release.

Summary: Fun movie BUT...........!!!!!!!
Review: Believe it or not, I purchased this movie because I had heard for so very long that it is one of the classics. After watching it for the first time a couple of days ago, I agree it is a fine film and can see how it stood up over time. What I thought was going to be a lame letdown quickly became a fine piece of filmwork, easily set apart in the genre. BUT, as I mention earlier, I watched it for the first time only a couple of days ago. The entire story is given away in the first three minutes by Angus "The Tall Man" Scrimm's introduction. Otherwise, a fun film and a great addition to the collection.

Summary: That 70s Show Goes to Hell.
Review: If you only watch derivative pablum like I Know What You Did Three Thanksgivings Ago and feel you have to bemoan the lack of originality in horror movies, then you should watch Phantasm. The story begins when two brothers, Mike and Jody, attend the funeral of a family friend. Things seem normal until Mike sees the mortician, AKA The Tall Man, lift up a coffin with as much difficulty as one would pick up an empty cardboard box. So the brothers, with the help of ice-cream truck driver Reggie, take it upon themselves to investigate the strange goings-on at the funeral home. What they uncover include lethal floating silver balls, little hooded dwarves that look like the Jawas in Star Wars, and a severed finger that transforms into the most laughably cheap looking monster you'll ever see. Even the low budget isn't enough to hamper Phantasm's many endearing qualities. The atmosphere is perfect. It starts out as being 1970s laidback like an Eagles song, but becomes more desolate and sinister as the film progresses. Angus Scrimm (6'4" minus the platform shoes) is flawless as The Tall Man. Why he isn't as famous as the braindead Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers I'll never know. And what about that half-goofy / half-spooky organ heavy soundtrack? I wish it was on CD. Overall rating: 5 stars, BOOOOOOOYYYYYYY!!!

Review: I absolutly loved this movie!! I love horror movies all the way and this one was no exception. I never even knew about the Phantasm series until I saw the DVD "Boogeymen." I saw the trailer and a scene from the movie and I wanted to know more. I went out and bought this DVD and it was the best investment of [money] I could ever make!! I watched it twice in one day it was so good! It is scary, gory, funny in some parts, and just plain chilling! The Tall Man is one of the scariest men to hit the horror screen! You should definatley see this movie if you love horror movies!!
