Review: Don't waste your hard earned money on this crap ... If stuff like this happened during WWII and you want to see it by all means get a copy; heck, I'll sell you mine. It was gross. Bare breasted women flogging people to death? Come on... Sorry, not what I wanted to watch on a Tuesday night. Lots of blood and cruelty, good flick about atrocities.

Summary: Fast forward review
Review: For all the Ilsa hype, this one doesn't really make it for sex sleaze fans. I mean, do you really find maggots sexy? Brrr. Skip directly to the "face of death" stuff on p2p.There is one decent naked asphyx girl on ice scene that can be cobbled up by editing out the silly Nazi officer (keep the volume down, you don't even want to accidentally hear him say "remarkable"). And sure, we got some Ilsa bosoms and even a brief scene where Ushi coughs up some fake blood on her Swedish krumkaka's, but that's about it. The rest is for gore fans. One star is about right, better to try "Wicked Warden" for the pin cushion scene and much more nubile pneumatic nudity (npn).

Review: How about turning the tables with a MEN in prison film? Set at an SS prison camp, this was probably one of the bloodiest and grosses films until Salo, Dead Alive and Nekromantik.
Though somewhat humorous, this film is essentially S&M and I would not recommend it to any newcomer to the exploitative prison film genre.
The DVD print supports 16:9 televisions and appears to have good clarity and color. Sound is monaural, but that was how the film was recorded.
If you want a good gross out film, check this out. If you are looking for something a little less sick but with more ladies and more humour, opt instead for ILSA: HAREM KEEPER OF THE OIL SHEIKS.

Summary: A 'guilty pleasure'
Review: I first saw this on VHS, and when the DVD became available, I got the DVD. The commentary on the DVD alone is worth the price, since there is a lot of fascinating background information. This film was done fast, and cheap but with a lot of love and care, and there are effects for the time that probably were not duplicated in films costing lots more. This was a film done by people who love to make films, and many of the cast extras were paid virtually nothing. There is terrible acting, outrageous scenes, but there are a lot of laughs. This truly is a cult film. The jacket of the VHS stated Ilsa was 'so wicked that even the SS was afraid of her.' One can have so much fun over watching this film that you may be ashamed to tell your friends. The DVD copy is spotless and it is clear that they got a lot for the little bit of money it cost to make....

Summary: Not as bad as you might think...
Review: I had alway been led to believe this was a terribly disturbing film. It is not quite as bad as others, and is at times so cartoonish it loses all its edge. Dyanne Thorne is as in all the Ilsa films; often naked, believably domineering, and pretty well acted. You will only be interested in this for the exploitation/Women in Prison genre. Quite a bit of nudity, including Uschi Digard. The "Black Widows" are pretty impressive looking as well. This film has its moments. I enjoyed it more than the more disturbing "Ilsa the Wicked Warden" and the fairly neutral "Ilsa Harem Keeper of the Oil Shieks". If you must see an Ilsa film, this is the best one. The Nazi slant is mostly for show, and to add to the element of brutality. Watch for the General's "satisfaction" scene. The look on Ilsa's face is like even she can't believe she'd stoop so low :-) If you see this on DVD, definitely listen to the commentary. It provides a few good laughs and a lot of insight on how low budget films were made.

Summary: A lot of exploitation entertainment on one DVD
Review: I had never seen any of the Ilsa movies, but I did remember the ruckus when they first came out and the feature Oui magazine ran on star Dyanne Thorne, in which they commented on the "enormity of the affront" she posed to society. In my neverending quest for extreme entertainment, however, I decided to pick up this DVD recently and what a surprise. Play the film without commentary, and you have a well-made exploitation film that still packs as much shock value as just about any B movie I have ever seen. The fact that all the torture and experimentation shown were actually performed by Nazi sadists like Dr. Mengele and Irma Greise makes the images in this film that much harder to forget. Then play the film again with the commentary on, and you have one of the wittiest and most hilarious discussions on making B movies I have ever heard, thanks to director Don Edmonds, producer David Friedman, and especially star Dyanne Thorne. The recollections of these three had me in stitches. In sum, this DVD is a must-have for any student of cinema or admirer of B movies.

Review: i have never seen such rubbish in my life when i bought this there would be full on sex and graphic violence its like watching an old hammer movie with a few naked women in it with pubic hair like a thstched roof of a cottage. do not believe the hype i also watched i spit on your grave and even though that wasnt as bloody it was better acted and more shocking ilsa is just a joke of a real historical moment from world war two no wonder the director took his name off it cause he knew he would be hated by any war veterans

Summary: Sick, twisted, and poetic
Review: I knew I had to write a praise for this movie when I saw people writing negative comments concerning it. First off, I'm sure anybody who is purposely searching for the Ilsa movies has at least heard of it (and it's infamous reputation!), so you pretty much know what you're getting into. If you're looking for something incredibly sleazy, offensive, and violent you have just hit a goldmine! This is the epitome of everything one would want in a (s)exploitation film-a true defining masterpiece! I remember watching it at an after school party once, and most of the viewers are scarred for live-even the ones that liked it! Yes, you must see this brilliant work of art!

Summary: Ilsa is out of control
Review: I must admit this is the craziest piece of cinema I have ever viewed. Ilsa is a gorgeous Nazi SS maniac who is in charge of a womens camp (actually the old Hogan Heroes set) where her and her band of maniacs perform " medical experiments" for the Third Riech. There are many scenes of naked women being tortured in various ways ie. whippings,scolding baths etc. The acting is bad exept for Ilsa who handles the role of the sadistic SS Punisher very nicely. After viewing this movie I was left with a sick feeling in my stomach. Why would anyone want to make a movie like this?. This is "exploitation" to the max. There are some very hot scenes where Ilsa and her babes disrobe and have sex with inmates. Ilsa meets her sexual match with one inmate who is able to "hold out" during sex. This guy is the hero of the movie and well deserved. He bring Ilsa down with his sexual antics. Please be careful when watching this movie as it is not for everyone. There are some gruesome acts of unholy violence that are hidious to watch....you were warned!
