Summary: LOL many times!
Review: This is one of the few SNL spinoff movies that is actually entertaining. I've seen the video many times, and I've always rewound and played back certain scenes. I was a teen when this movie first came out, and it was certainly a guilty pleasure. Mike Myers' wit has paid off with this and the Austin Powers movies (all of which I've seen). This will be a comecdy classic!

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: By far one of my favorite movies ever. Wayne and Garth are two metalheads who have their own public access cable TV show, who are faced with some dilemmas some rather funny, such as the big-shot TV executive who threatens to exploit them, Wayne's ex stalking him incessantly, no "Stairway to Heaven" in the music shop. Some of the scenes in this movie are absoultely priceless, and Mike Myers and Dana Carvey make the perfect on-screen duo. By far the best movie based off of an SNL skit.

Review: This is my most favorite movie of al time and one of mike myers best!! if you are a teenage rock bum whos into old bands like aerosmith and van halen and stuff, you will appreciate this movie! me and my friend pass notes all the time with quotes from this movie! WARNING: NOT FOR PREPS. And in the words of wayne and garth "if you do not like it your a sphincter boy (or girl)!" so if you are a prep, stick to chick flicks, cuz this movie ain't for you! Party on Wayne!

Summary: Cha!
Review: "Party on Wayne, party on Garth! Extreme close-up! Waaaahhh!" Typical dialogue from the popular basement television show, "Wayne's World." If you can get by that, you're worthy. Noah's Arcade wants a teen-oriented tv show that will attract more gamers to his arcades. Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) are dreamers and they live it up. Singing Queen and "Stairway to Heaven" denied, they get their show back to the way they had it before, in their garage. So, party on idiot! Party on moron! You might like this movie, sphincter boy says what?

Review: "Wayne's World" is a movie that shouldn't be funny but is. It shouldn't be funny because its plot is so ridiculous and pointless as to render the story almost meaningless. The basis of the plot is that two guys named Wayne Campbell (Mike Myers) and Garth Algar (Dana Carvey) have a cable-access show in Wayne's basement in Aurora, Illinois. The show, which is just Wayne and Garth goofing on stuff, catches the eye of Benjamin Kane (Rob Lowe), a smarmy television producer who wants to buy and remake it into a cash cow. Meanwhile, Wayne falls in love with a local musician named Cassandra Wong (Tia Carrere). After Benjamin comes into the picture, Wayne is afraid of losing Cassandra to him because of his music industry connections, good looks, money, and fancy car.

What saves "Wayne's World" from the purgatory of its plot is Wayne or, more specifically, Mike Myers. Myers was still an unknown in 1992. For those of us who had seen him on "Saturday Night Live" we already knew he could be stomach-hurting funny. However, until "Wayne's World" you just didn't know if he coud keep it going for a whole movie. As everyone knows now, he can.

Myers comic timing created gold out of lead. "Wayne's World" is a movie more memorable for its lines than its story. That can be a dangerous way to make a good movie as the lines can grow tired with age (see "Spaceballs"). That's not the case with "Wayne's World" though. It's still as good today as it was ten years ago.

Review: Party on, Wayne and Party on Garth!

Wayne's World stars Mike Myers (Wayne) and Dana Cavey (Garth) in a movie that's about the good people out there----NOT! Wayne and Garth do their show from Wayne's basement.
An evil TV producer (Rob Lowe) steals the show from Wayne and Wayne must get it back!
What a totally excellent movie!

Summary: Best Movie Taken from an SNL Skit!
Review: Very funny movie that is a spoof of Cable Access shows, heavy metal fans (headbangers), etc, it is also one of the only movies based from SNL skits that has been a hit! There are many funny moments, my favorites being the hilarious Bohemian Rhapsody routine in Garth's car and the very funny Milwaukee scenes spoofing the opening theme of Laverne and Shirley and also the rock concert they attended there. I have this on video and I like to watch it, though I don't watch it all the time becasue I don't want to get tired of it because I like it too much for that to happen.

Summary: Better than ever!
Review: This is one of those rare films you can watch over and over again. Many of the jokes actually seem funnier the more times you see them. When I first bought this, I could not believe how enjoyable it still is. Even though this movie is almost a decade old, you'll keep coming back to watch Meyers and Carvey in their classic stereotypical head-banger roles. Dana Carvey redefined one of the goofiest characters of all time, while Mike Meyers made his own big-screen debut a complete success. I never cared much for W.W. Part 2; unfortunately Carvey somehow lost his touch, and Meyers lost his cartoon-like appeal. Part 1 is just magic - this is the only movie I can think of where the jokes are completely effortless and spontaneous.
The DVD is of course, EXCELLENT, and it just may be "the greatest movie ever made".
The picture quality doesn't seem as good as it should be for an anamorphic presentation, but it doesn't affect the humor. The extras on the DVD were good too, which is definitely a requirement for a movie of this status.
