Summary: An Audio/Visual Masterpiece!
Review: The Wall has to be the most awe inspiring Movie ever put on film. The haughtingly beautiful music and stunning visuals would be enough in itself to classify this as a monumental achievment in movie making. Add Pink into the mix with his tormented mind and his own emotional rollercoaster and you have one of the true masterpieces of all time. I can't wait to see and feel this movie again on DVD.

Summary: The most extraordinary film EVER created
Review: This is THE ONE. This is one of the rare films that get better every time I watch it, the vivid imagery and the truely amazing attention to every detail set The Wall apart from all other films. The Wall expresses so well so many deep and dark feelings that as Pinky is slowly driven insane, we as the audience are taken down with him in a downward spiral guaranteed to shock us all. Never has a film meant so much to me or my friends, we can sit and discuss the underlying meanings for hours. But be cautioned! The first time you see the wall, you WILL NOT understand it. This is a film that must be seen over and over before the meanings start to unravel themselves. As a product of a band synonymous with drug use, the addition of various Paraphernalia supposedly enhances the experience...but all I recommend is a powerful home theatre system and understanding neighbors!!

Summary: A dream come true
Review: The Wall by Pink Floyd is one of the single most moving recordings ever created. Led by the overwhelming creativity of Roger Waters and backed by the equaly impressive artistic and musicly gifted individuals involved in it's genesis The Wall has created an infinite universe of imagination and thought. At the very center of this universe we find Pink the thouroghly troubled young mind searching endlessly for an escape from the world that has risen up around him. realizing more and more with each passing moment that his only refuge is the insanity that dwells within him, which inturn builds the wall that separates him from who he wishes to be and in the end drives him mad. From the eiry yet accurate animation to the roomwarming music, Pink Floyd Does An unparalelled job at recreating the tragic breakdown of the human mind. This movie has awed audiences from all over the world and of all ages, the meer thought of this masterpiece in its uncut letterbox edition with its majestic melodies piping through my stereo in dolby digital surround sound leaves me feeling comfortably numb and I'm sure it will do the same for you.

Summary: With music of this quality, who needs dialogue?
Review: 'Pink' (played by Bob Geldof) has been turned into a rock 'n' roll fascist by the overwhelming excesses of fame, fortune and applause. As Pink subconciously builds his wall between himself and the outside world, Roger Waters and co-director Alan Parker provide - with the help of animator, Gerald Scarfe - an insight into how the dark side of success can cause any level of piece of mind to unwittingly decay into an existance of various forms of destruction.

The music is provided courtesy of Pink Floyd's album 'The Wall' which was written by Roger Waters. Gerald Scarfe's startling animation sometimes borders on the horrific, but rarely fails to entertain. In addition, Hey You has been included for the fans who missed it on the original cut, as well as a narrative from Waters and Scarfe. Part of the intent with this DVD release was to insert a level of humor missing from the movie's initial release, which for me wasn't without it's smile-enducing moments.

A real 'smack in the face' flick, which by virtue of an unfurling change in emotional direction at the movie's end, leaves the viewer feeling a little more positive than might have been anticipated.
