Complete your Athena Audition surround system or augment your current stereo or left/center/right listening system with Athena Technologies' compact and versatile AS-R1 bi-pole rear-channel surround speaker. The bi-pole design radiates sound in 2 directions (3 counting the woofer), throwing a diffuse and spacious aural environment for your surround-sound movies and music. Designed for wall mounting, the AS-R1 includes a built-in mounting system as well as an insert that accommodates an optional Macromount bracket for additional setup flexibilty. The speaker is sold singly, so be sure to pick up 2 or more, depending on your needs. For placement, the AS-R1 should be raised to a height of approximately 6 feet and should ideally have a space of at least 6 feet between them. The compact yet full-bodied speaker offers a frequency response that extends down to 80 Hz. The silver-finished AS-R1 is recommended for use with any Audition or SCT Series product.
