Summary: No Good! Hold your noses!
Review: This movie is TERRIBLE! Nothing but JUNK! A completely stupid story filled with bad dialogue, outrageous characters (Sho'Nuff as the Harlem Shogun, a Kung FOOL hero named "Bruce Leroy"), bad music (in the synth-pop eighties, however, they had little choice), horrible acting (remember, Vanity is the female lead), characters coming and going without rhyme or reason (such as the Chinese Soul Brothers). Plus, it's never clear why Bruce Leroy refuses to fight Sho'Nuff early on. Folks, bad drama is good for comedy (like Plan 9/Grave Robbers From Outer Space), but bad comedy is good for NOTHING! Save your money, or if you see it, wear GAS MASKS to the theater or around your VCR because it really STINKS things up!

Summary: Hey my man, what it look like?!
Review: What it look like is a blast from the past. I originally saw this movie when I was in Jr high, and finally being able to watch it again -on DVD no less- brings back a flood of memories with the music, clothes and one liners. This is a definite treat for anyone who grew up during the eighties!

Review: Every once in a while,you need some camp in your life.
A movie that is very campy,dated,and cheesy yet fun and strangely
convincing,that would explain 1985's "The Last Dragon"(billed as
"Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon" when originally released).A cheesy,overproduced Motown fantasy/musical/martial arts flick
which is loaded with signs of '80s glam and slang(watching it seventeen years later,it's a scream!).Starring are Tamiak(whatever happened to him),Vanity,William H. Macy(who later was featured in Oscar-totters "Fargo" and "Magnolia"),Faith Prince,
and the adoreable Keshia Knight Pulliam(best known as Rudy Huxtable on "The Cosby Show"). The plot is basically the same as the Bruce Lee classic that the film shares it's name with,just with VERY '80s elements such as big hair,tacky '80s clothes,shallow '80s music videos,and DeBarge(whose "Rhythm Of The Night" is featured in the film)! Notable charcters include the unforgettably campy Sho-Nuff(For the younger folks out there who haven't seen this movie-Busta Rhymes parioded him in his 1997 video for "Dangerous") and Leroy(Tamiak)'s hilariously smart-mouthed little brother Ritchie. Want serious martial arts fare spruced with pop music? You might not get that here but if you want good,gimmicky '80s fun with
a great sense of camp,"Last Dragon" is the perfect movie!

Review: The Last Dragon is a simple action/comedy, symbolic of those 80's nostalgia movies we all like to talk about with friends. So, look out....... There are children kung fu experts battling evil thugs in a local discotech! A Shogun of Harlem and an evil record producer terrorize the community by beating up the locals! A local pizza boy must save a DJ damsel in distress by catching bullets with his teeth and fighting with glowing fists! Can't believe it? Well too bad. This is the Last Dragon and you will know it when you've got the glow!!!

Summary: A true 80's comedy!!
Review: This movie is one of my favorites of all time!! True it may be a low budget movie with cheesy acting and tacky outfits, but to me that was the 80's!! It was a great time for everyone. And this movie really makes me reminisce and laugh about those days. I definitely recommend this movie for your DVD collection if you enjoyed the 80's as much as I did!

Summary: Kung Fu Krush Groove
Review: This is a true classic. LeRoy... is a kung fu poser living in Harlem. He has been trained very well by some guy who tells him that in order to ascend, he must master "the glow". What is this 'glow'? In order to find out, our hero goes on a series of wacky misadventures which ultimately lead to a final cataclysmic showdown with the meanest, prettiest, baddest, lo down moFo up around, Sho'nuff. (Think Samurai meets Afrikaa Baambaataa and the Soulsonic Force). Of course my boy Sho'nuff smacks Leroy around, thus giving him (Leroy) the power to overcome and master the glow, thereby endin Sho's reign of terror. Then some guy Shoots Leroy and what happens next? Alas, I can't give the ending away, but it's delightful. Just like this charming romp about perseverance. It rock rock, body rocks.

Summary: Thank god they didn't wait 'til I was 80!!!
Review: It's about dang time!!! I thought I'd never get my hands on this beauty. Oh, how long I've waited for this movie and it's mine, mine, all mine. Sorry, you'll have to excuse me, but if you're like me, then you can understand my state of bliss after waiting years and years for this re-release. This is one of the very few movies that I can whatch over and over and still not get tired of it. This movie really stands out amongst other 80's movies because of the fact that it doesn't take it self seriously in that the characters are not your typical "decade restricted" cool. They were entertaining and fun before and they are most definitely fun now. And to top it all off it's on DEE VEE DEE!!! Hmm, do I recomend this movie? You bet yo' Daddy Green's Pizza I do. If this movie doesn't entertain you then you need to check your pulse.

Summary: One of my favorite movies of all time
Review: I was around 7 when this movie came out, and I fell in love with it. Even as a little girl, I fell in love with Taimak (The cutie pie that plays "The Last Dragon". Now that it's out on DVD, I must purchase it. If you don't have this classic, you are missing out.

Review: AAhhh what memories! I thought I would never get the chance to own a true copy...destined for a life of living with my taped HBO Version and hoping I wouldn't tape over it by mistake. A true classic 80's movie filled with what we loved the most about 80's flicks ... pure cheese! A must to have in your entertaining library. Long Live the MASTER!!!

Summary: Nothin like this on stage, screen, radio, TV or cable, baby!
Review: First of all, I'm a "thirty-something" and I LOVE the '80s, big hair and all. I loved this movie in the theater, but since then I'd only seen it on (rented) video a couple of times. (...) But good things come to those who wait. The DVD looks and sounds fantastic and it's like seeing it in the theater again--actually even better.
Almost everybody I know who has seen this movie likes it, including my nephew who wasn't even alive in the '80s. It has a wide appeal that goes way beyond race and generation--a likeable hero, a beautiful leading lady, obnoxious villians that you love to hate (Julius Carry probably had a blast playing Sho-Nuff), killer martial arts, and even a nice tribute to Bruce Lee. It's just plain fun!
