Summary: Murderous fun..It's as good as Pulp Fiction.
Review: I just resent the previous review with one star. I think 2 days in the Valley is just a descent movie to watch. It's entertaining to see how the cast of murderers and victims come to connect at the last scene. It just caught me to my surprise, which I really hope for on the early stages of the movie. Great cast! That brawl between Teri Hatcher & the blonde girl (what's her name) just reminds me of the good ol' days of Dynasty -- Joan Collins & Linda Evans.

Review: I liked the movie.THe cast is one of the better ensembles put together in recent memory.The plot is a little convoluted and contrived,however it is saved by fine individual performances.The movie is worth viewing if for no other reason than to see Charlize Theron,what a beauty she is!Very talented as well,she is a future big-time star in the making.The catfight she has with Teri Hatcher is great,best part of the movie.If you like good actors,sexy women and the wierdness of California,2 Days In The Valley is a pleasant little diversion for 2 hours.I recommend it and I think it has potetial to be a bona-fide cult hit.

Review: I must confess that I was struggling mightly when I was deciding what title that I should put on my review; uneven seems to speak volumes as it comes to this particular movie. Spader is awsome as the calculating killer. The rest of the cast does an adequate job that is nothing to raise the roof about.

Summary: WHERE IS MY WATCH ?
Review: I still wonder what was the purpose of John Herzfeld when he filmed TWO DAYS IN THE VALLEY. The structure of the movie isn't revolutionary, so the plot should give us an answer to this question.Well...I still wonder, did I say ! It could be : - Everybody changes his mind so don't take anything for granted. - One minute of your time can modify your life (but we know that already, don't we ?). - Don't get married if you're an ice skater ! And so on. You've understood that the screenplay isn't the main interest of this movie neither. Happily enough, the cast is great and brings very funny and enjoyable moments, I must admit it. A DVD zone I should have rent it instead of buying it.

Summary: That's Mr. Hitman to you
Review: If they ever remake The Day Of The Jackal (again), they should cast James Spader as the hitman. He can look a lot like Edward Fox, and he exudes cold, masterful self-assurance. The rest of the cast is OK, but the script and direction are third-rate. This movie is nowhere near Reservoir Dogs; don't believe the hype.

Review: Is there a bad movie with James Spader? If there is , this isn't it. I have watched this movie 10 times so far. All the characters are great -- all the acting is great -- the plot is great -- all of which makes it easy to watch over and over again! Lots of twists and turns the viewer never expects. And of course, as always, James Spader makes this movie great. I wish he'ld make more movies!!

Summary: A sort of poor man's Pulp Fiction.
Review: Make that, a sort of _very_ poor man's Pulp Fiction in fact. A film about gangsters and other shady characters in a multiple/ intersecting plot with disjoint time lines. What more do you need to know except that this one is nothing like as good a film as Pulp Fiction? The script and the acting were of a standard that you would expect from a soap opera that had been around for too long. Did the film have any redeeming qualities? Well, I laughed at one joke and that seemed to be quite a good one. But, that is not enough to make the whole film worthy.

Summary: An Underrated Ensemble Drama / Crime Thriller.
Review: Many people put this in the "Quentin Tarantino Rip-off" pile, but it really owes more of a debt to Robert Altman than it does to Tarantino. Sure, it has Crime Thriller elements, but at its Core it is an Ensemble Drama akin to "Short Cuts" and "Magnolia". The Star-Studded Cast includes Eric Stoltz (as a discontent vice cop), Jeff Daniels (as Eric's hard-nosed partner), James Spader (as an ice-cold hit man), Danny Aiello (as a washed-up hit man), Charlize Theron (as James' accomplice/girlfriend), Teri Hatcher (as a murder witness) and Glenne Headly (as a Hostage). They, and Everyone else in the film, give Fitting, Seasoned Performances. Stoltz and Spader give the Best performances, both Funny and Real. Especially Spader, he virtually Carries the Film. Charlize Theron, in one of her first films, is Very, very Attention-Grabbing, through her Looks and her Abilities. Daniels and Hatcher appear too Infrequently to be Memorable. Aiello and Headly give equally Likeable performances that become the Moral Centre of the film. The film, like all the ones mentioned above, follows a Series of Unconnected stories that somehow Intersect with each other at the climax. To explain How would spoil the fun of Watching it all Unravel Yourself. Writer/Director John Herzfeld smartly resists the temptation to Modernize and Spice up his Direction, allowing the Actors to tell the tale.

Review: Movies like this remind me that Quentin Tarantino has had far too much influence for his own good. The film is dull and poorly scripted, with bland characters and an unfulfilled aspiration to hipness. I'll give that it has an occasional stylish moment, and an occasional funny line, but most of the "style" seems contrived and forced and the majority of the laughs, for me, were unintentional. Although you have to give it to James Spader -- I don't think he *will* make a movie unless he is going to be having sex with one of the attractive female leads at some point. The theory holds true here, in a terribly unnecessary and out-of-place sex scene. Don't get me wrong, though, it was one of the few scenes I enjoyed.
