Summary: Best ending. I DON'T MIND the price.
Review: It ended just how I wanted it to end. And as delusionary as it may seem, it probably gives hope to many women that their man will eventually come around and realize their worth, and grow to love them. The inner romantic within me responded with a resounding "yes".

Carrie's ending was romantic, just as she deserved. One interesting thing I noted was that in Season 6 for the first time, Carrie didn't act neurotic and crazy for a relationship. She seemed so much more mature, even though Mikhail acted the spoiled brat. It felt good to see her progress and grow. As for Miranda, the life she ended up with felt wholesome and complete for me, like she learned what was truly important for her own life. The part with Steve's mom losing her mind was so beautifully done, you couldn't help but empathize with her.

I know that introducing a cancer storyline can seem forced and campy, but the way they did it in SITC seemed pretty good. It didn't overwhelm the other storylines, which is something I appreciated.

All in all, a great finish to a great show. I know alot of people are upset at the price and it being split into two seasons, but it costs alot of money to make these shows. Their profits will go toward producing more quality shows, and I will gladly pay more money for HBO to do this. As for people calling the producers "greedy", I'm sure those same people would sell their grandmother's teeth if they needed some spare cash.

One more thing: The extras on this set aren't really that great, especially the three endings. if you're going to buy it, it's going to be for the episodes themselves. They stand alone, as far as I'm concerned and they don't require extras.

Summary: Hmm... what's the fuss?
Review: My sister love this show but I personally find it not that interesting in comparison with a lot of other comedy show, sitcoms out there. Maybe it's a chick thing. I do not find it at all that amusing at times. The focus on sexual things makes the whole show rather meaningless. Their lines aren't very original.

Summary: They can't release it soon enough
Review: So, this is it. The final episodes of the final season of Sex and the City. Yes, it is expensive buying all of these DVDs, but what fan can afford NOT to relive the experience? It all ends with a trip to Paris that cannot be missed....with a late-breaking return of Mr. Big....or perhaps not? How will it end and who will it be? Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha say goodbye to their fans in these final episodes. This is a must-see DVD--for those who already know how it ends and desperately need to relive it, and more importantly, for those who didn't get to see it the first time around.

Summary: End of an Era
Review: With the closing of Friends, Frasier and now Sex and the City - we truly are seeing an end to an era.

This last set of episodes seemed a little less on the edge and more like a setup to the last episode. That having been said, I would not have missed them for the world. The creators still did a great job in providing a nice ending to each of the characters' stories.

I agree with many of the people who posted reviews for Season 5 and Season 6 Parts 1 and 2 - HBO treats the SATC followers very shabby in (1) charging so much for virtually half seasons (2) releasing Season 6 as two separate FULL PRICE sets and (3) providing very little extras in Season 6 Part 1 to compensate for the price.

I must say, I totally enjoy all of the episodes with Michael Patrick King's commentaries and I wish that he did that for EVERY episode. I also HOPE that they include the special SATC Overview show(s) (2 half hour shows that were really one show) in the Part 2 DVD set. It would also be nice to see the Oprah show with all the girls - but I am sure that will not be on there.

All in all - it was a great 6 years and I will enjoy watching them (uncut - unlike the TBS/TNT versions) forever. It is too bad that broadcast networks cannot take the lead from HBO and BBC and make LIMITED RUN series that have high quality and great stars that know they are only committed for a few years. Imagine the quality that we would enjoy. I strongly urge everyone to purchase every season from 1-6 (Parts 1 AND 2) to complete your collection of one of TV's best groundbreaking classics (cliche, I know, but true).
