Summary: Over Hyped To The Extremities.
Review: I thought, wow, this movie was loved by critic's around the usa, it must be incridlble I plunked down the twenty buckd, watched it once, and that's it, I mean, it's great the first time, but ren't don't buy, of course your talking to a die hard oliver stone, Tarentino Fan, as well as Brian de palma, and the best martin scorsese, to me , italians are the best, and ewan mcgregor to me is nothing speacial, that's allright though, because this is my opinion, make your own, i'm one person, and millions love it, and millions hate it, make your own decisions.

Summary: Fantastic!!
Review: With the beat of a drum, a Scottish voice, and a fast paced run through the streets we embark on the hilarious junkie film known as Trainspotting. The so-called-mates are well portrayed by a group of extremely talented Scottish actors, and by far my all time favourite film. The Green Version would be a well appreciated addition to Amazon.com's extensive movie library.

Summary: This could not have been a better movie
Review: This is without a doubt one of the best movies I have ever seen. This film is what first introduced me to the incredible talent of Ewan Mcgregor and I think it has the best writing out of any movie I've ever seen with both realistic and philosophical teachings.

Summary: Trainspotting is Addictive
Review: It was just awesome, I rented it once and didn't give it back for days. And i still want to see it again. It makes fun of and also understands, and doesn't make any excuses.

Summary: Original and Pleasing
Review: A startling fresh look at a group of junky friends living at warp speed. This film is a blast to the senses with amazing camera work and superb acting by McGregor and Lee Miller. The half-surrealistic, half-reality scenes are blended together to bring you on a fast ride with a group of characters you love to hate.

Summary: A FRESH VIEW
Review: Trainspotting is one of the most exhilarating movies I have seen in a long time. I immediately went and bought the book by Irvine Welsh. The novel was equally as amazing. The plot and characters become a bit muddled from the novel, but that was necessary considering the novel is really a collection of short stories. Ewan McGregor is generally a dorky actor, but in Trainspotting one can separate the actor from the character. I fell in love with Renton, the narrator of the film, and plan to make this movie my permanent favorite.

Summary: Phenonminal
Review: Mind provoking, startling, the type of movie you cover your eyes during, but still peek through your fingers because you don't want to miss it. McGregor is extraordinary, Bremmer is charming.

Summary: It figures the USA version would be censored...
Review: What is up with America? Movies here can show all the violence they could ever want... but they can't show Ewan's penis?! This is my gripe: I found this movie absolutely incredible when I first saw it a few years ago in France. Now that I'm back in the USA and I bought the video, I still think it's incredible... only it REALLY bothers me that the entire clubbing scene was cut out of the US version!!! That part was hilarious! :-( I recommend that everyone to fly to Europe and rent the movie over there.

Summary: Fantastic Flick, and a good disc as well
Review: Okay, everyone seems to either love or hate this movie. I loved it and thought, as many do, it to be a realistic look at the plagued drug-culture in Scotland. Both humorous and horrific, all the characters are at times disgusting and at other times hilarious. Now on to the disc. The video itself is not bad, and preserving the widescreen aspect ratio is nice if you've only seen the movie on VHS before. However, the release is non-anamorphic which is a bummer if/when you upgrade to digital TV in the future (unfortunately some studios don't seem to see the value in anamorphic widescreen releases). Additionally there are no extras on my disc when this is one film that really ought to have a couple commentary tracks. On the positive side the Dolby 5.1 soundtrack is very nice and even Franco Begbie comes through audible and understandable, which is untrue of the VHS release. Overall it's a perfect film, but it deserves a better disc.

Summary: Harsh, gritty but honest and thought provoking.
Review: If you heard this glorifys drugs, dont believe it. Choose life. The main character does not have an easy time, but he has luck and intelligence on his side - others are misfits, idiots, crooks or just the people that always get the "shitty end of the stick" - in other words, VERY true to life.
