Summary: Trainspotting. A must see.
Review: Like it or not, Trainspotting is one of the finest films of this decade. The acting, writing, and directing are superb, the most original I have seen in a long time. This movie has all the elements anyone could ask for, drama, comedy, romance, and action. Although the theme of Heroin addicts can be controversial to a closed mind, the sheer originality and creativity that went behind this film is stunning. I have bought the book, and will watch the film as long as I have friends that have not seen this. Anyone who wishes to tantilize their senses and broaden their horizons must see this film. A future classic.

Summary: Great movie
Review: This was a great yet disturbing movie. I am glad I saw it but it is not the type of movie I'd ever watch again, because its too unpleasant, kinda like "Seven" or "The Day of the Locust".

Summary: Filmspotting
Review: Great movie. Definitly in my top ten list! They do a super job at acting and there are so many hidden meanings in this film you can watch it 100 times and still want more. Johny Lee Miller(AfterGlow),Ewan(Velvet Goldmine),Kelly McDonald(staring in an upcoming movie w ewan co star Jonathan Rhy Myers from Velvet Goldmine) are the best. Buy this movie. You won't regret it.

Summary: Great, entertaining, origional, excellent.
Review: This is undisputedly my all time favorite movie. Everything about it is just so well done, I love it, start to finish. Sickboy is possibly the coolest character in a movie ever.(he dresses up in a tux to get high) Sure, there'll be those people who say, "This movie can't compare to the classics." But don't think I'm just some other punk who has no taste, some other favorites of mine are, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, and Raging Bull (Robert DeNero is amazing). It's just that all through Trainspotting, even though it's a movie about heroine addicts, the film manages to carry a certain lightheartedness about it that makes it more fun to watch.

Summary: Mindblowing
Review: This has got to be one of the most original films ever made. Terrific screenplay. Unbelievable writing. And Ewan McGregor couldn't have been more better. Watch out for the baby!

Summary: Realistic? I don't EVEN think so
Review: Realistic drug addicts... who look like movie stars!! Yeah right! The Jonny Lee Miller character was always so doped up he had no time for anything else (letting his baby die of neglect) yet he somehow found the time to keep his baby-blonde hair perfectly bleached and coiffed.

Summary: Simply the best!
Review: What can i say? The first time i saw this film...I thought it was pretty good. But i just couldn't get it out of my head....so i bought it. I've watched it many times...and I still can't get enough of it. The dialogue is funny and extremly well-written. The plot is original and keeps you glued to the screen. And the acting....my god....this is the best acting i've ever seen in a movie. This was the first movie that i saw Ewan McGregor in...and he is just simply the best. He can play so many parts! From a heroin addict to a jedi knight...and from a nightwatchmen to a surfer...the possibilities are endless. And also the music in this just blends beautifully with the film. I especially enjoyed the nightclub scene. Once again...this film is the best...and so is Ewan McGregor....if you liked this film...i recommend Shallow Grave.

Summary: OH MY GOD!!
Review: Man, after reading other reviews of this FANTASTIC film, I am going to sound like a complete idiot...But I love this movie so much I own 2 copies!! As a HUGE Ewan McGregor fan to begin with, I was, and still am, entirely too mesmerized by Mark Renton... The music, script and acting were some of the best I have seen in my life!!

Summary: a spectacular movie, witty, educational not to be missed.
Review: When I first saw this film I was moved, horrified. But when I came back to watch it again i was amazed. I personally think this movie illustrates the point it is trying to make very well.A great plot and a movie for those who would like to see the dramatic effects drugs have. Not to be missed. A comedy which goes straight to the heart.

Summary: yeah.
Review: some people have seen Star Wars a lot of times in theatres; well, i saw Trainspotting no less than FOUR times on the big screen (even though it wasn't really wide-screen; yes, that means you actually see MORE in the video version: widescreen-version buyers beware!). this became my favourite film after the 2nd time. i mean, what can i say? everything is perfect! the writing, the acting, the directing, the photography, the editing, the MUSIC.. and it does NOT glorify drugs! it's not ABOUT heroin; heroin is simply the setting. it's about people (hell, this sounds corny, but it's true!). this film has everything to hack off the perfect American purist (which is why it worked better in the UK and in ..uuh.. Canada): sex, drugs, rock'n'roll (Iggy!), techno, a dead baby, a LOT swearing, Sean Connery impersonations, strong Scottish accents (dubbed in the US/Canada version, ), and so on....

to be played at maximum volume!
