Summary: A avrege love story
Review: it was just a ok movie I dint think it was anything special. I have seen lots of movies were people hate egather then become friends then love egather. And I have seen better.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Never Fails
Review: I've seen this movie at least 3000 times. It still ranks superior in chick flick appeal and demonstrates why Meg Ryan became the goddess of the romantic comedy arena. It's my favorite of Nora Ephron's work (and I've seen Sleepless in Seattle and You've got mail about 1000 times each).

Summary: When Harry Met Sally: Very funny. I love it.
Review: This is the romantic comedy by which all other romantic comedies are now judged. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan have undeniable chemistry and top notch timing. And surprisingly so do Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher who really have great moments that add fun to the film. This movie knows no one knows how to present Manhattan better than Woody Allen and heavily borrows from his traditions. Including the choice of pop romantic standards. As in Annie Hall, "It Had to be You" is the musical centerpiece for an inevitable coupling. The dialog is snappy and rhythmic with an ear for New York sensibility. And also knows how to show off New Yorks favorite trendy hangouts at their very best. Even Billy Crystal is a little nebbish. Still this film is an original and its style has been mimicked countless times by other films in hopes of capturing a little of its magic. Still none quite tops this. The cherry on the cake was the wonderful choice to interupt passing seasons of Harry and Sally's relationship with old couple telling stories of their first meeting. The way they talk over and take over each others stories is charming and authentic and forces smiles of recognition. When Harry Met Sally is a lighthearted and very very funny film that never gets tiresome no matter how many times it is viewed. It is a classic.

The DVD contains some 7 minutes of additional deleted footage. In this case it is pretty apparent why it was deleted. Watch at your own risk. Rob Reiner's audio commentary seems to have been delivered at gunpoint. Don't look for a lot of joyful anecdotes or insights into where he came up with all these great ideas. The commentary track is pretty slow paced and dry. The "Making of" documentary is quite a bit more fun and insightful so the extras are not a total wash. The sound and image quality are both bright and lush so the most important part of the disc, the film, is as enjoyable as it can possibly be. When Harry Met Sally has a lot of fun with men and women trying to figure each other out and makes us laugh a lot and even cry just a little in the process.

Summary: One of the best movies of all time!
Review: Meg and Billy are wonderful and their supporting cast is perfect! "When Harry Met Sally" is one of my all time favorite movies. It is funny, sad and sweet. Two strangers meet when they share a ride from Chicago to NYC. They don't exactly get along (due to disagreements about Casablanca and the difference between men and women - among other things) and end up going their separate ways upon reaching NYC. They meet a couple of times in the years after that, becoming tentative friends and then eventually full fledged best friends. This is when the fun starts! You are in for a treat when you watch this movie. It is SO much more than the diner scene you hear about so often. This movie is wonderfully quotable ("You made a girl meow?"; "... especially when I'm being told how to live my life by Miss Hospital Corners"; "I am not your consolation prize"...."Well, I want it the way I want it"; "Charlie Chaplin had kids when he was 80" - "Yeah but he was too old to pick them up!"... One of my favorite scenes is in the museum when they start talking in weird voices, "Waiter, there is too much poppicosh..." In summary... adorable movie - buy it today!!! You will not regret adding it to your collection!

Summary: A Classic!
Review: What is not to love about Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal? They are great in this movie. "Sally" and her girlfriends remind me a little of a precursor to Sex and the City and Carrie and her girlfriends as they discuss dating and relationships frankly. I think it also teaches some good lessons, like loving someone because of their faults and not inspite of them. Definitely one to add to your video collection.

Summary: Brilliant! Hillarious!
Review: Can a man and a woman be friends without letting romance step into the relationship? When Harry Met Sally... is a wonderful comedy with a great plot and good performances. The film centers around two ordinary people who debate the pros and cons of male and female relationships.

Summary: My FAVORITE Romanitic Comedy!
Review: If you love light romanitic comedies.... this is the one for you! Meg Ryan shines in this movie. Billy Crystal is hilarious. It is a very uplifting movie that moves quickly. I love the inside humor that you need to watch the movie over and over to pick up on. That is why I have seen it about 20 times!

Summary: Good romantic comedy, but it's not the best one out there.
Review: Although both Crystal and Ryan becomes a little overbearing at times, they're tolerable throughout the movie... The chemistry between them isn't the same as say... Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, but nonetheless, it's still good and passable on-screen.

The story somewhat bothered me in the sense that the "romantic dialogue" between the two was predictable and cheesed up. But still, it's not supposed to be American Beauty or anything, so it doesn't get to me too much.

If you want a good romantic comedy, try picking up "You've Got Mail," which is also written/directed by Nora Ephron. She also did Sleepless in Seattle in case you were wondering.
