Summary: Lee Ving plays Mr. Body
Review: So that's reason enough. It's also really funny.

Summary: Amazing..........
Review: I was very impressed with this movie when I first saw it. The acting I have to say was superb and the humor was original and witty. Tim Curry's performance as Wadsworth the butler was absolutely played to perfection. It is also though one of those movies where you need to watch it very closely to figure out who killed who, it really makes you think. In the end you're not really sure who was the real murderer, this is a great comedy/murder mystery to add to your video collection. It is defintely more fun and more humorous than the board game.

Summary: Better Than the Board Game
Review: The board game that most everyone has played at least once, and some of us grew up with, has come to life in this 1985 live action comedy. And believe me when I say that the board game was never this fun.

An all-star comedy cast was brought together to portray the famous Parker Brother Clue characters: Eileen Brennan, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren. Each of these performers have proven that they are capable of handling comedy on their own. But together, they set a bar for which no comedy movie before or since has ever been able to reach.

Tim Curry, as the butler Wadsworth (or is he?????), brings his eye popping, sly, coy self to a part that just seems taylor made for him. Rarely in his career has he been given a role that is suited to his talents. But here, he shines.

The late Madeline Kahn, one of the funniest comediannes to have ever graced this world, was completely on target as Mrs. White, the oft married, but never divorced, black widow. She delivers some of the best lines of the entire movie.

As the whodunnit unfolds, the laughter starts to pile up. I have watched this movie several times a year for several years. And even though I can now punch plot holes big enough to drive a mack truck through, I don't care. This movie was made to be pure fun and nothing but fluff. And even after all of these years, it delivers just that. Nothing more, nothing less.

Allow yourself the guilty pleasure of laughing your sides off to this movie. You'll be glad you did.

Summary: Get a Clue
Review: One of the moives that was actually good in the eighties and got very little respect. Very well written, acted, and directed. One of my favorite movies, BUY THIS MOVIE! Very good fun, comedy, and a very good twist at the end of the movie.

Summary: Pathetically stupid, but funny
Review: Everyone who's ever played any boardgames has played Clue; it is probably my favorite game, and that's the only reason that I ever saw this movie. It was great! It was luny and crudely humorous, but at the same time, the story was good, the script was imaginative and wordy. Tim Curry, Martin Mull, Christopher Loyd, and especially Madeline Kahn are excellent for the well-known Clue characters.

Summary: The most rewatchable movie ever
Review: The movie "Clue" is based on the popular board game about six people who get invited to the Boddy mansion. The movie starts off simple enough: The six suspects arrive, the butler introduces himself, they all sit down to dinner, and you're given the impression that this is going to be a serious Agatha Christie-type murder mystery. There's suspenseful background music, tension is built up, and you can't wait to see when the murder's going to take place. Then Mr. Boddy shows up. After explaining to everyone why he invited them all there, the official "great turning point" occurs. After the first murder, Clue little by little transforms itself from what appears to be the usual stock murder mystery into one of the wittiest, funniest dark comedies ever to be made in the history of cinema.

The all-star cast is a spectacle in and of itself, the one-liners are some of the most memorable you'll ever hear in any movie, Tim Curry steals the show as Wadsworth the butler who "buttles", everything moves at a steady pace, and there's a fairly large body count. There are so many little twists, turns, gags, ambiguous jokes, and unexpected surprises in this film, that you will find yourself watching it over and over again just to see what you missed. And not just that..you'll be rewatching it because, well, it's just a darn good movie.

I have probably literally seen Clue about 40-50 times so far and I never get tired of it. I don't just like watching it - I like introducing people to it too. Each time I watch it with someone who hasn't seen it, watching their eyes light up at this spectacular achievment of a movie is like watching it again for the first time. But be warned: If you're looking for "Gone With The Wind" or "Citizen Kane" (good movies in their own right), don't buy or rent this movie. If you're looking for a silly, hilarious, dark, and original popcorn and soda murder mystery comedy - The kind of movie where you can just kick back, turn your brain off and enjoy the sheer ridiculousness of it all, Clue is the movie for you.

Summary: Get a CLUE!
Review: We have gone through two VHS versions of this movie and finally bought the DVD! I guess that should tell you we like the movie. The DVD version is the best, it is so clear, almost like being there...could the Hologram version be far away? For just plain fun there is nothing like this movie, "Turn on the Lights!" and enjoy.

Summary: Stellar Cast Saves Weak Script
Review: What most reviewers of "Clue" fail to mention is that this movie's plot is primarily a spoof of Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians" (and more specifically the 1945 film version, "And Then There Were None"). "Murder By Death" is another, and this plot device, having strangers meet at a remote place and then get murdered one by one, has been used many times. This time, it's our old friends from the familiar boardgame: Col. Mustard, Mrs. Peacock, et al. When watching "Clue", it is pointless to try to solve the mystery, as all three "surprise endings" are impossible. However, fast pacing, some good jokes, and possibly the best ensemble cast ever assembled make up for a silly script. "Clue" is an often hilarious, entertaining movie, and looks great in this widescreen version. Sadly, it was not remastered in stereo, but the mono soundtrack is well balanced. Great fun for a movie party, and Madeline Kahn's confession of how much she hated Yvette, the maid, is brilliant.

Summary: A Classic Board Game Turned into a Classic Movie!!
Review: Wow one of my all time favorite board games and it still is today turned into a really fun movie. It deals with a story line that's fun and witty and is an instant classic still to this day. It has a slueth of fun stars in it such as: Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren. The movie was very clever in that in different states only a few showed how it really ended. And in the other states gave false endings. However in this great DVD you have the choice to see all of the endings. Or you have the chance to view one ending at a time how they viewed it when it showed at the theaters. It has great sound, great intereactive menus, a trailer and the special endings all in one. It might not have all the great stuff other DVD's have but its one of my favorites. The movie has done the board game justice. And is a classic hit for all :)
