Summary: Disappointing...
Review: I found this to be a very disappointing follow-up to a really great original. The charm and freshness of the original cast is missing in the sequel. Many of them seem uninspired and performances reek of contractual obligations. In trying to follow the formula from the first film, they really missed the mark. The first film had so much heart mixed in with the comedy. The sequel is just dumb.

Summary: Good, but then again, not really great.
Review: This movie goes to the edge of the rating scale simply because the direction is terrible. Director Rogers takes on this film like a child with his first shotgun. There is extraordinarily poor taste in humor and even worse transitions to other scenes. I left the movie feeling embarrassed for the actors that had to endure such incredible lack of direction along with such a paltry story line. It is clear that this movie could have been great like the first one, but when things didn't work out performance-wise, suddenly a bit of nudity had to be thrown in along with crass humor. What made the original so nice was that it wasn't all in-your-face-poor-taste-sexual-suggestiveness. The original was suggestive, but the key was to leave it up to your imagination, and give the scene opportunity to play itself out in your mind. Unfortunately, this move had none of that appeal.

Funny parts and reprised roles make this movie bearable. Jason Biggs (Jim) pulls his own weight, as well as Thomas (Finch) and Levy (Jim's Father) who is brilliant once again. Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) does an overall good job with the dialogue, but appears at times that she gets unfamiliar with the character. Tara Reid and Shannon Elizabeth look awful and could have used a little more work in the makeup room.

If you go see this movie, be prepared for all-out crudity and don't expect the same performance quality. Although this movie may appeal to die-hards, most of the teens out there and some others, it was a disappointment to me. Still, I liked many parts, but just didn't think it even came close to measuring up to the first. Perhaps if the Weitz brothers had directed it, this movie would have been as good as the first. But hey, mistakes happen.

Summary: Decent movie
Review: American Pie 2 is a decent sequel. It is relatively funny and has numerous humorous references to the first movie. Though no award-winner, American Pie 2 is a relatively entertaining movie.

Summary: I wish I could give it none.
Review: What is the world coming to? Am I the only teenager out there who enjoys a film where a good script and good acting is apart of a movie (not that I should knock the acting because all of the players sure know how to add a new meaning to the word idiocy). But I guess the only thing that has come out of this movie is that I have finally found the film that has brought me, as a teenager, to the lowest level of human life. At least I know that there is no where to go from here. Of course no one in my age group agrees with me, and they really have no way of explaining to me why the film was remotely funny. Please, no one see this film. If you have any sort of brain left inside of your head. I beg you there is no point. This was as entertaining as "Jackass" and just as disgusting. I urge you, go rent something tasteful and save some money.

Summary: Corny, but better then the First.
Review: I didn't really enjoy the first one all that much, but this was pretty funny. However most of the jokes were just repetitive ... jokes, most of which were really corny. None the less, a very enjoyable flick.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not as funny as the first
Review: This movie was a real disappointment. Yes, I laughed a little. The problem is the long pause between the laughs. "Shocking" events were predictable, with very few exceptions. All I can say is that I'm glad that I saw this at the drive-in where it shared the screen with Jay & Silent Bob(which was hilarious). Otherwise, I may have felt like I'd been ripped off.
