Summary: Freakin' Uprorious
Review: I'm glad to see that the late 90's revived the 80's tradition of "high-schooler comedies". You know them as "Ferris Bueller", "Better Off Dead", "Wierd Science", and so forth. "American Pie" is the leader of the revival thus far.

I laughed through this whole movie. It's amazing how creative and funny it is. I mean, OF COURSE the plot is derivitive, but the humor is not! The cast is fresh and talented. There are some truly priceless moments. It's one of those movies where every scene is funny or interesting. It's also pretty damn close to what kids act like in high school.

I recommend it to just about everyone in their mid teens and up (believe me, moms, it's nothing they haven't seen or heard before). Children of the 80's will enjoy comparing it to that era's lost genre. Everyone will laugh.

Shannon Elizabeth is my daily inspiration.

Summary: Not Ashamed I Liked It
Review: This movie is right on target!

It's hilarious- belly laughs from start to finish- but it's also got a pretty old fashioned story to go along with it- and that surprised me!

It's not as raunchy as you might think. But don't worry- it's raunchy enough.

The laughs are true and character driven- not just raunchiness for the sake of being sleazy.

As a mater of fact, I'll leave it right there- this movie is raunchy fun, but it's NEVER sleazy- and in spite of all the raunch, it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth.

No, you actually leave this movie feeling pretty good and guiltless- which is more than I can say for the two movie's this one is most compared to- "Animal House" and "Porky's".

Sorry to dissapoint, but in spite of all the belly laughs and gross-out scenes, when all is said and done this movie actually leaves you with a pretty decent MORAL message.

I loved it.

Summary: Have A Slice Of Pie
Review: I went into watching this film with expectations from friends who praised it enourmously, and i have to say i was well pleased. The film involves four high school misfits who try and lose their virginity. The film has a relatively unknown cast, which makes it suprising, as it is a top film

Summary: Hilarious teen flick
Review: I HATE teen flicks, but you have to understand something...this was outlandishly raunchy and hilarious. Sickening, disgusting, almost puke out humor. But did I ever laugh! This is a must see. If you don't laugh at this movie you need to loosen up and take life less seriously. Yes, it is raunchy as anything ever, probably the most raunchy movie EVER. But some of the scenes in this film will go down in history.

Summary: ashamed I liked it
Review: I'm in my mid 30s and loved this movie. Very crude and rude, funny as hell movie. Do not watch with your kids or you'll haave much explaining to do. We'll worth multiple viewings.

I hate this trend towards "the unrated version". Whats that? A new marketing tool?

Summary: Don't choke on your popcorn!
Review: American Pie is in a word, funny. It's a little crude at times, which didn't bother me at all,but might offend prudish types. This movie isn't for everybody but it's got numerous major laughs. For a teenage romp kind of film, it's way above average! This movie has that "teen noir" quality....sorta.Eugene Levy is excellent as a bewildered father and the young cast of mostly new-comers who play the teenagers are impressive. The girl who keeps saying ,"last summer at band camp we...",is a scream! Pop the Popcorn and prepare for a good time, just don't choke on your snacks whilst laughing! AMERICAN PIE is delicious....

Summary: Endearing
Review: I bought this for my husband knowing it was a favorite of his but keeping my fingers crossed that he wouldn't ever ask me to watch it with him. Based on what I had heard I just knew I would find it too lewd or crude. I finally broke down and I am glad that I did! I really enjoyed it. The characters are so cute, they were all (most of them at least) so endearing and so true to life. True teenagers. I recommend this movie for anyone that wants to laugh. I hate movies that are crude just to be offensive (Baseketball from South Park creators for example) this movie was definitely not crude or cruel. The characters really grow on you and you start to care about them. The story has a purpose.

Summary: Crude but in some ways cleverer than you might think
Review: Well well well, there was me expecting an awful, puerile film, and I was almost proved wrong. Almost. Now, don't get me wrong, there are moments that are meant to be funny throughout the film which really won't make you laugh, celebrated scenes like the apple pie moment as an example, scenes that just make you want to kill the screenwriter for their stupidity. But the cast really hold this together, as they are actually quite likeable - Jason Biggs is never as annoying as he could be in the character, and Thomas Ian Nicholas has a bright future. Also, the father has all the best lines, turning a one-dimensional cipher into someone you can't wait to see on screen again. Rather oddly, for such a cynical tug at the heart strings ending, the movie does make you feel that little bit better. How odd. Anyway, it's certainly worth a look, and the extras are copious. The featurette is short but fun, the commentary a great laugh, and there are some small but entertaining things like Classic Quotes which take you to the bit in the movie where they are said. All in all, a strangely entertaining film which I thought would be dreadful but proved me ever so slightly wrong.

Summary: A PIE THAT TICKLES THE TASTEBUDS AND OTHER THINGS AS WELL!
Review: This movie cracked me up I saw it twice at the movies and got it out again on video just to see if I still could get more laughs out of it, and I did, this is a really funny movie!

Yes another coming of age story, with so many truely funny scenes (that I cant share because it will spoil it for the first time American Pie virgins out there! ) about the disturbing and humiliating world that is adolescence. Four nearly young men make a pact to lose their virginity before Prom night, vowing to help each other achieve that goal, we follow their hilarious attempts to get propective girls to do them the honour of deflowering, bursting their cherries, and cleaning their pipes for them. The father of one the boys is a riot all on his own, every scene with him in it is a gem, (worth watching the movie purely on his performance! ).

I highly recommend this movie to anyone and everyone, if you like to laugh then get this movie you wont regret it! (if you dont then your obviously not born yet!)

Summary: Funny as hell! A must buy for comedy lovers!
Review: My title say it all! You'll roll on the floor every time you watch! If you're in or on your way to college, this movie is a must have (along with Animal House)
