Summary: Boring, predictable
Review: Julia Roberts and Richard Gere have great chemistry together. That said, I can't imagine why they would want to follow up a great movie like "Pretty Woman" with this mess. It's not interesting, completely unbelievable (as if anyone would care that someone has left a bunch of men at the altar. It certainly wouldn't get that degree of media attention), and is way too predictable. And we never really get insight into Julia Robert's character - only a very vague attempt to explain why she runs (which never actually comes out). If you're a die-hard Roberts fan you may like this (though even the most adament of her followers that I know didn't like "Runaway Bride"). But if you just want a sweet, entertaining romantic comedy this is not for you.

Summary: Oh, has it finished now ?
Review: OK, so Richard Gere is still cute and the virginal appeal of Julie Roberts is undiminished since Pretty Woman (how did she manage virginal appeal AND be a hooker? in that). This was one of the slowest moving movies I have seen for ages and dragged inexorably towards it's supremely predictable anti climax in a manner that dished up only rare surprises in a manner that treated them with a respect they never deserved. Two great actors, one pants film.

Review: I can not just express how much I love watching Richard and Julia together it is really a great movie I watched it again and again with my three children and we all enjoy it. Very funny and very entertaining. Great job and wish they will both make more movies together. Will done indeed.

Summary: Bonus Fun!
Review: First, the movie. Not the best work from this group and Pretty Woman is fairly hard to top for sheer romanticism. However, Runaway Bride is watchable and it is fun to see Julia Roberts and Richard Gere together again. They do have chemistry and she lights the screen.The best part of the DVD is the running commentary by director, Garry Marshall. If you match this up with his commentary of Pretty Woman, you have a perfect double-feature. He is funny, endearing and many of the stories he tells are better than the film itself. Enjoy.

Summary: a sweet romantic comedy
Review: This is one of the sweetest movies I have seen in a long time. Although some of it is unbelievable, it has a nice plot. I enjoyed the fact that the characters were three-dimensional, unlike the trend with most movies. The relationships between the characters exemplify the ideal way that the world should be. In all, it is a very good movie.

Review: This movie was'nt the greatest movie in the world. It did have it's good moments. Generally they were all bad moments. I like Pretty Woman much better than this one. I gave it three stars because I love to see Richard Gere and Julia Roberts team up. They are great together!

Summary: Well worth the wait!
Review: The Runaway Bride was the cutest and sweetest movie to be released since Ever After. Both Gere and Roberts played their characters so well they became friends to you. I was glad to see Hector Elizando in it, I really like him. Rita Wilson was the best person they could have found for the part of Gere's ex-wife, and I loved Joan Cusack for Maggie's best friend. The ending was the best part of the movie, I thought. It didn't end with Ike and Maggie getting married in the church in front of all those people and cameras. I was glad that she ran (well, not at first, but later I was)and gave the two some time to really think it through. Maggie, as Ike said, was a lost person. She needed time to find out who Maggie was, who Ike knew her to be. The ending where Maggie gave him her running shoes and proposed to him was different, but a great way to end the movie. I recomend this one to anyone who wants to see a clean, no swearing, no "intimate bed relations" movie. I absolutely loved this movie!

Summary: Movie that doesn't follow the pattern
Review: This movie was an excellent one that doesn't follow the same pattern that all other romantic comedies follow. Gere's character was excellently portrayed and was a new look for the veteran actor. Roberts was also excellent as usual. It was also an excellent satire of small town life. Over all a good solid movie.

Summary: The Worst Movie of ALL time!
Review: Oh no,what a piece of trash.This is ,by far,the worst movie of all time.Ive seen robots from Star Trek act better than Richard Gere,and Julia Roberts.This has absolutely no plot at all.Even,1998's Godzilla,had much more plot.And we all know how much that was.Richard Gere is as alive as Abe Lincoln.He bassically says one sentance throughout the whole movie.And that is ''Look Ma Im Acting!''.Julia Roberts does the same exact thing,only with SMILES.The only trying actor on here is Grandma.Please do the world a favor,dont buy this movie.I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone at all.
