Rating: Summary: A must buy! Review: I discovered this movie, and the rest in the series, by seeing them in the 90s on USA's "Up All Night". The Vice Academy series is one of my favorite T&A film series and this is the one that started it all. Great eye candy by Ginger Lynn Allen and Linnea Quigley. If you see this one, you'll have to see part 2 & 3! Great stuff!
Rating: Summary: It's About Time Review: I've been waiting for this movie to come out on DVD for a long time. The VICE ACADEMY series is one of the most popular B-movie series ever. With Ginger Lynn Allen and Linnea Quigley, director Rick (HOBGOBLINS) Sloane created something so cheesy, so bad that it's so enjoyable to watch. This is what is missing in films today. The sheer innocence of campy B-movies. CITIZEN KANE it isn't, but Rick Sloane didn't care. He just made a great little B-movie that spawned FIVE (yes, that's right) FIVE sequels. Linnea Quigley and Ginger Lynn Allen are students at a vice academy and for them to graduate, they both have to make ten arrests in order for them to graduate. But Ginger's dad is the chief of police, so Linnea has to try extra hard to beat her compitition by busting an underage porn set, arresting prostitutes, and capturing the head of all this, the evil Queen Bee. Lots of T&A, a little bad acting here and there, but loads of fun, Vice Academy has something for everyone. And that ALSO includes its sequels. I hope VA 4 comes out on DVD soon. Also for you VA fans out there, believe it or not, VA 5 and 6 were released overseas but not here in the states. Hopefully they too will finally be available here. So grab yourself a bag of popcorn, some drinks, kick back and enjoy the movie.
Rating: Summary: Vice Academy DVD's Review: Yes, the Vice Academy movies are ultra-cheesy and ultra-low-budget. Yet they never try to be serious and that gives them a certain charm and a unique brand of humor. The great majority of people would probably rate the VA movies as a "1" and that's fine, they just don't understand that they are low-budget late-night comedies meant for a certain audience.I purchased all three of the Vice Academy DVD's and they are actually very professional and have good extras. The audio commentaries by Rick Sloane are informative and enjoyable. The cast interviews are also welcome and quite funny at times. In short, if you know the movies then you'll enjoy the DVD's of the first 3 Vice Academy movies.
