Summary: What happened?
Review: I don't understand what went wrong with this movie. You take a really talented cast a very funny premise and you come up with this. Mona Dearly was hated by all. Everyone has a motive, But it's not that hard to figure out Who really did it. With all of the characters this could have been a lot more fun. The ending is absolutly tacked on as if to say it was reshot later and tacked on to try to save a confusing mess, Which isn't that confusing. All in all Drowning Mona Is not Terrible but a huge dissapointment. The Disc itself has some good extra stuff, but wouldn't it be nice to say that about the film?

Summary: Mildly Amusing...at best.
Review: A few funny moments throughout an hour and a half don't make a good comedy and that is what we learn after seeing this movie, which contains 80% stupid mindless drivel.

Summary: Great comedy
Review: I think this movie was hilarious and well-directed. The plot unfolds in a very unique way, using the "flashback" technique to keep you interested in the telling of the mystery. It was also refreshing to see the realism of the uglier parts of our working-class life here in America. It was refreshing to me to finally see this portrayed on the big screen instead of the normal "idealistic" movies like "Rocky" that show people like this aspiring to be better and becoming lovable innocents. Hey, "Rocky" is great, but it's been done. Mona is a hilarious ride with some of the most talented people in movies today!!!

Summary: THE Funniest Video
Review: After I left the theater from this movie, I was trying to remember all the funny things that happened. This is how funny that movie was. Drowning Mona included some very well-known actors and actresses who played different roles in this comedy, which made it all the more enjoyable. Even though this movie did not do too well, I think it was a very funny movie that will keep the viewer interested. I know I am going to watch it plenty more times.

Summary: Good Stuff
Review: Well, this film is a sordid mess, but it had a lot of original elements. Mona Dearly is raucous and lewd and her death could not have been funnier. I found it to be smart, weird, provokative, and, yes at times, entertaining. The characters each had their eccentricities and pittiful shortcomings which were both endearing and ridiculous. I recommend the movie to anybody who might enjoy the tribulations of a parade of undermedicated fashion-victims who drive junk in Verplanck, New York.

Summary: Not really that funny, but odd, unique and relaxing.
Review: A very quirky, semi-funny, unique film. Danny DeVito is pretty good, Bette Midler is better than EVER, Neve Cambell is okay, Casey Affleck is horrible and Will Ferrel is hilarious (though he could be funnier.) Not the funniest film I've ever seen, I expected more. But still it was okay. Worth seeing though, the Yugo cars are the funniest!

Summary: off comedy
Review: Who done it? Thats the question of the movie. It turns out that this comedy, albeit off color, is quite good. With people like Bette Midler and Jamie Lee Curtis how can you go wrong. It was a nice date movie.

Summary: Bette Midler as Royal "Pain" with 9 Lives
Review: Bette Midler, once again playing herself, gives everybody and their brother daily doses of annoyance. An entire family, including the in-laws want to do away with "Mona". Set among trailer park country bumbkins, the story is one rollercoaster ride of physical and mental abuse. Fans of Bette Midler and Danny DeVito may have the stomach to sit through this whole fiasco. Comedy fans with somewhat lofty standards may want to pass on this jumbled-up non-sense. A few quick laughs will keep you from getting angry about your time investment, but most folks sure can do much better than this. It'll do in a pinch.**

Although People did hated the late Miss Dearly alot, it's up to the Chief to find, who's the blame for the murder but the town's people rather wants to know who to thank.

Summary: Drown this movie
Review: What a dissapointment!!!! I never purchase a movie before I see it at least once. I thought becasue it had an all star cast that it would be very very good. WRONG!!!! I love Midler, Cambell, Curtis, and thought they were all misscast!!! I am a fan of dark humor but this one is pitch black!!! I had to see this movie to get at least some of my money back. I guess that I was following it until about the last 20 minuts of the show. Then it went to a totally different direction that was full of wine and cheese. {more cheese than wine} very sad movie that is supposed to be a comedy!!!! Skip this one you will be glad that you did.
