Summary: Good 80's film
Review: this film works because of the Characters being in tune with one another.it's a solid straight foreward 80's film.nothing more or less.Judd Nelson and crew are a good fit for each other in this film.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: good good movie
Review: I love this movie also. It's one of my favorites. I would recommend it to anyone who likes teen movies, and doesn't like when people judge others based on stereotypes which is the main theme of the movie. The acting is great, and the ending is cute when everyone hooks up. You should see it.

Summary: Anthony Michael Hall is hilarious!
Review: I first watched this movie in my high school religion class back in the 80's (I went to Catholic school). My teacher wanted the class to have an honest discussion about peer pressure afterward. We were all laughing so hard through half of it, especially at Anthony Michael Hall. He has so much talent and played the "geek" role to perfection. The basic story of the movie is that five students have to come in for an eight-hour Saturday detention. Each one couldn't be more different than the other, and none of them would normally even be seen with each other, let alone be friends. As the day goes on, we see how they come to have a new understanding of one another. This movie shows how difficult it is for teenagers to deal with peer pressure, and how some things never change. It was one of the best movies ever made.

Summary: DVD.....PLEASE!
Review: This IS one of the greatest movies of all time, enough said about that!

HOWEVER - The DVD is horrible. The transfer is horrible and the sound is horrible. You'd think for such a great movie the DVD would be loaded with extras - not this one, BARE BONES DUDE!

STILL A GREAT MOVIE, just a lazy effort on DVD.

Summary: THE BEST FILM OF ALL TIME
Review: I urge everyone to see this film at least once. The defining film of the 80's brat pack collection, this film has some of the best one liners ('shut up peewee' and 'does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?') every written for film audiences. If you want to laugh (and cry), generally relive the 80's and put a new film at the top of your charts, it is a must see. Loved every minute.

Summary: This movie is a thought-provoking one of a kind legend!
Review: After watching this movie until ten at night, i had a hard time falling asleep because i kept thinking about the characters, and how they were so passionate about what everyone preceived them to be, but on the inside, they were something completely different. The next the theme came on the radio, i went mad trying to find a tape so that i could record it. I recommend this movie to anyone who has never seen it, anyone who has seen it, and anyone.

Summary: The best of the 80s bratpack movies
Review: I have this on video and watch it at least twice a year. It has all the human interest touches - humour, romance, a tragic touch, decadence - just the right balance for adolescence that John Sayles gets exactly right. Demi Moore was at her most bearable at this age, more's the pity.

Summary: An Excellent movie
Review: This is a Wonderful movie for everyone who can remember what high school in the 80's was like and also for everyone that wishes they could. Everytime I see this movie I am transported back in time and I can remember when it was still cool to be a stoner and the worst thing in your high school was a flare gun the music on your radio was not yet "Alternative" garbage and keggers on the weekends at the city dump was the place to be also in the final scene when every one says goodbye it brings back that wonderful excitement we all felt when we met a new guy or girl that took our breath away I recomened this movie to everyone and I hope it will bring back memories for you also .

Summary: Classic 80's Flick -- A Must-See
Review: I have seen this movie 8 times, and I still love it. Who hasn't dreamed of being stuck with four freaky people on a Saturday morning and smoking pot? Okay, maybe you haven't, but if you loved "Sixteen Candles" and "Pretty in Pink", you will love this movie, GUARANTEED. You can hunt me down if you don't. Judd Nelson as Bender is positively scary, and Ally Sheedy is her best ever -- except, perhaps, for the recent "High Art". What really makes this movie great, though, is its accurate portrayal (or close approximation anyway) of high school life. Having been in Anthony Michael Hall's shoes until a very short time ago, I can totally relate. The only difference is that at the end of "The Breakfast Club" you actually believe they will all stay friends, while in real life that doesn't happen. Still, this movie remains a cult classic (who can forget the dancing scene in the library?) and should be seen by 80's devotees and film students alike.
