Summary: A MOVIE THAT SAY'S ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Review: This movie invokes the belief that one person being themselves and being happy who they are can make a significant difference in this crazy world. It shows that compassion and love are not dead and that it's okay to become emotionally involved. It was truly a touching and warm movie which I hope will result in people trying to emulate this type of behavior. A truly awesome performing cast which is worthy of recognition.

Summary: A horrid film
Review: This is a film that is bad on so many levels. One, it is a waste of Robin Williams' abilities as an actor. Williams is one of the most under appreciated actors in Hollywood and in films like "What Dreams May Come" and "Good Will Hunting" I felt he was really expanding in his craft. However here he digresses into his same old tired character formula were, like in "Dead Poet's Society," he plays a free spirit who descends from heaven to change the attitudes of a cold and uncaring system. I think Williams' ego trip will soon lead him to playing either Jesus Christ or Martin Luther King Jr. Two, the film is shameless in attempt to make the audience cry. There, of course, is no reason why a film cannot evoke emotions in its audience. However, this film manipulates for emotional response instead of earning it with good writing and direction. Third, the film takes direct plot twists and scenes from other, superior films. The most memorable are the court room scene where all of the children take a stand for the man that changed there lives (A direct knock off from "Dead Poet's Society's" final scene) or the scene where the audience is subtly informed that the main characters dead friend lives on in a better place, with the use of a butterfly (A direct knock off of the tree/birds/Jenny's grave scene in "Forrest Gump.) If you are thinking of seeing "Patch Adams", I suggest that you take this little test first. Have you seen "The Doctor," "Gross Anatomy," " Dead Poet's Society," or "Forrest Gump?" Do you have a positive opinion of Robin Williams? Do you demand quality acting, writing, direction, or ideas conveyed through a well-told story? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, "Patch Adams" will disappoint.

Summary: Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful
Review: Patch Adams is a great, feel good movie, with Robin Williams at his funniest. Some of the storyline is predictable, but all around, it was a great movie

Summary: "Brilliant is an understatement."
Review: If there was ever one movie that I would recommend you see, it would be this movie. Robin Williams was terrific in his performance as the part of Hunter "Patch" Adams. I call this the number on comedy movie ever made. I call it such because it is the number one comedy movie ever made.

Summary: True Robin Williams
Review: Again Robin Williams takes you thru all the emotions at once in a roller coaster of feeling. Get the kleenex before you watch. You will need to use them for the tears when you laugh and when you feel the emotion that Patch Adams feels for his patients. If only more of the medical profession would treat the patient as well as the disease, more people would be more emotionally able to deal with their diseases and their life and death. If you are a true Robin Williams fan, this is another for the favorites collection.

Summary: A sad-tear jerking-happy movie!
Review: 'PATCH ADAMS' made me ball! However I loved it! I believe it sent a message out into the world: 'HUMOR IS NEVER BAD!'. Robin Williams gave an oscar-worthy performance! Along with his co-stars as well! This movie inspired me to appriciate life more. And when I saw those children, I felt really warm inside for what Patch was doing. This movie rocks and it's a MUST-SEE FOR CHILDREN, MEN, WOMEN, OLD FOLKS OF ALLLLL AGES!

Summary: Enjoyable feel good flick
Review: Patch Adams is a movie that showcases the many talents of Robin Williams. Many of the other characters are not developed as they could be. It is a good film for the family to watch considering the drivel that normally comes out of Hollywood. The movie does leave one with a few questions. I can't wait to read the book.

Summary: This was a Best Picture nominee?
Review: Sure, Williams was fun to watch, as usual. And it made me feel good. And I'm sure that the real Dr. Addams is an admirable and courageous person. But so many of the characters are predictable stereotypes (the mean hospital head and William's young love interest, to name two) and cliches abound. Don't watch this if you have a low sugar tolerance.

Summary: This was an awesome movie.
Review: I thought that Robin Williams played a great part in this movie. I expected a good performance but not that good.
