Summary: How much Eddie Murphy can you take?
Review: How much one likes "The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" depends on how much Eddie Murphy you can stand. After grossing more than $125 million at the box office, I would have to conclude that moviegoers couldn't get enough. This sequel is a one-man show built around a character skit from the first movie. Murphy plays eight different roles and gives a tour de force performance without the benefit of any story whatever. I got the impression that the writers were superfluous anyway, since Murphy was obviously ad libbing about 90% of the time.

The humor is lowbrow and delivers a good deal of physical comedy laced with sexual innuendo. Though Murphy's caricatures are consistently droll, they rely too much on unflattering stereotypes of blacks. The first dinner scene is a rehash of the dinner scene from the first film. After that scene, most of the film is a repetition of the same tired sight gags. Though Murphy's amusing electricity runs through every character, once the novelty wears off the film's appeal wears thin.

Kudos to the makeup department for an outstanding job on Murphy's various alter egos. Otherwise, the production of this film was nothing out of the ordinary. Larry Miller also gets a very honorable mention as the obnoxious Dean Richmond, getting his just deserts at the hands of a giant hamster.

This film has some laughs but not enough substance for a feature length movie. I rated it a 6/10. Add two or three points if you are an Eddie Murphy fan.

Summary: Not as groundbreaking as the first movie, but just as funny
Review: "Nutty Professor II - The Klumps" is a hilarious sequel to the first movie in the series that starred Eddie Murphy. This movie isn't anything like the first one though. In "Nutty Professor II - The Klumps," you better believe the title because that's what you're getting in this sequel is more of the Klumps, you'll get to know each one of the Klumps that you saw at the dinner table in the first movie a lot better and in more detail this time around. Professor Klump has invented a new formula that will make whoever or whatever drinks it, a lot younger. But this new invention won't go through without any competition because (yep you guessed it), Buddy Love is back in this sequel to try and meddle around with Professor Klump's genius ideas.

"Nutty Professor II - The Klumps" is just as funny as the first movie, and maybe even a little bit funnier. To say the least, Eddie Murphy did a great job portraying every member of the Klump family. Janet Jackson also does a good job in her role. The only downfall to "Nutty Professor II" is that it isn't as groundbreaking or as original as the first movie, but it is just as entertaining and just as hilarious. It also has good special effects. If you liked "The Nutty Professor" or if you like hilarious comedy movies, I definitely recommend getting "Nutty Professor II - The Klumps."

Summary: terribly disappointing
Review: I, and my family, had high hopes for this film. We had really enjoyed the first Nutty Professor movie. This sequel, however, is a truly awful movie. The plot is a totally confusing mess.
The humor is missing and in its place is a huge amount of farting and cursing and potty-mouthed, potty-minded crap. The language is terrible and I really didn't want my kids to see the shots of swinging breasts and bulging erections. As a family film it is completely inappropriate. As a movie in general, it is utterly unfunny and pretty much a total bomb.

Summary: God Awfull!!!!!!
Review: I mainly saw this because I had heard that it was better than Big Momma's House. Big Momma's House came out first , but Nutty Professor 1 came out about 4 years ago. I wasn't really crazy about seeing this one, and I think I actually shouldn't have. Yet again more, tasteless fat jokes and toilet humor. Some of it can be funny but mostly it is stupid, stupid stupid. Eddie Murphy plays the big guy and Janet Jackson plays the love of his life. Her is the twist. Eddie Murphy also plays all of The Klumps, which are Sherman Klump's relatives. He even gets to play the grandma, in a painfully tasteless role. Though grandma, mother and papa Klump can be funny, they usually are not. DR. Doolittle also had tons of toilet humor, but I had fun watching that, this on the other hand, I found annoyingly bad and stupid. Constant tasteless, jokes and insulting humor clutter this film trying to squeeze out laughs, but it doesn't work for me. I will say one thing, if they wanted to make it really bad they could have: Had a giant hamster rape a man, then start shooting his own poop at people as a defense. Ohh stupid me!! They did, it is true Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps is the lowest common denominator.

Summary: FUNNY!
Review: First of all, this movie is VERY funny! Its even funnier than the first film!

Whats even better, is how much the family gets involved in this movie (Eddie Murphy plays all 7 charcters!)

You can't even tell that the family is all the same actor, they all seem different.

get this movie! its funny as hell!

Summary: The funniest movie of 2000-01
Review: This was the best movie I could ever buy. If you thought the 1st movie was funny, you've got to see the 2nd. Whatever was missing in #1, they included in #2.

There are more funnier scenes with the Klumps family alone. Granny Klump has a greater role in the movie as a laugh maker. There is much ado with Sherman's parents. They show what they're made of. Of course, I won't give any more of the movie away. But with a fantastic line of producers, who could lose?

Janet Jackson makes a great co-star aside Eddie Murphy. What amazes me is the fact that Eddie can play 5 characters so well. As a bonus, there are some funny, short outtakes on the movie. Eddie and the cast say a bit about the movie. It's quite interesting as to how much work goes into a movie like this. Things like this make me appreciate movies more.

So, go get this hilarious movie. You won't regret it. Did my review help you?

Summary: Eddie Murphy is a genius!
Review: Only Eddie Murphy could pull off a movie like this. I mean, he plays seven different people in this film!!! What makes it even better is that they are all interacting with each other. Eddie Murphy MADE this movie. He was just hilarious.

I was wondering how they were going to manage to bring back Buddy Love in this film. I was hoping it wasn't going to be stupid. They managed to pull it off and not make it seemed forced.

The jokes in this movie were definitely not new. They just had a new spin to them. Grandma Klump's character was so over the top, it was unbelievable. The antagonistic relationship between her and Sherman Klump's father was so funny, I about fell out of my seat.

The filmmakers definitely took a cue from AMERICAN PIE and SCARY MOVIE. I think they took some of the sexual jokes a little too far (the scene with the giant hampster comes readily to mind). Yes, sex jokes are funny, but to a point. I hope this is just a phase that the industry is going through and they end up toning it back down.

All in all, this was a very entertaining movie. If you like the first one, you should love this one. One of the funniest films I've seen.

Summary: it was alright
Review: Eddie Murphy is the king of comedy, and janet is the queen of pop, excellent combination right? It somewhat works here, but the only problem is that though janet shows promise in acting, she doesn't really have a role in this film that seperates the musician from the actress, Denise Gaines doesn't have much of a personality other than clinging to Sherman and flaunting her beautiful smile. I really think she was great on Good Times and Different Strokes back in the day and the Lena Horne movie she was supposed to do looked promising, but it got scrapped. I love the theme Doesn't Really Matter that was written and sung by janet and it was nice hearing it in the movie and soundtrack, it was a big summer hit, hitting #1 for 3 weeks. Eddie Murphy on the other hand is hilarious throughout the whole movie and he beautifully plays different roles of the Klump family, each one showing a different and humorous personality. The grandma one was my favourite. I didn't think all of the jokes in the film were funny, but there were some scenes in the movie that were childish yet extremely hilarious that had me laughing the loudest in the theater.

I think the first one is better, but if you're interested in getting to know the other Klump family members more, you may want to check this out. And also if you like janet jackson, you'll want to see this, but don't expect another role like the one she had in Poetic Justice.

Summary: The worst movie EVER
Review: I couldn't believe my eyes and ears, at the beginning, at the altar, when Eddie Murphy's head comes out of his zipper, I couldn't believe how awful it was. AND it sets the tone for the whole movie. Bad taste galore, the worst kind, and it's not the least bit funny. The family monologues aren't the worst (never heard anything unfunnier), and then of course the fart-jokes,
Really, movie-making has never sunk any lower.
I'd say this is the most vulgar thing ever seen on tv, and that's counting the Osbournes!

Summary: The Nutty Professor II
Review: In my review of the movie The Nutty Professor II which was released in 2000 I attempt the rate the movie based on its potential appeal to viewers. The Movie director is Peter Segal and it is from Universal Studios. The main actor in the Nutty Professor II is Eddie Murphy who plays many characters in the movie (Sherman Klump, Buddy Love, the grandmother, etc) and the primary actress is Janet Jackson who plays Denise Gaines.

The movie setting starts out with Sherman dreaming that he is getting married to his assistant professor (Denise Gaines). Then he starts having sexual reactions when he looks at Denise breast sticking out in her wedding dress. Buddy Love reappears coming out of his rear end. Buddy Love keeps Sherman upset because he controls his personality and intelligence and has him saying rude things to everyone. Sherman is trying to get Buddy Love out his system.

Denise Gaines tells Sherman she cares for him once she finds out that she is being offered a job in Maine. And then Sherman goes to confess his love to Denise but Buddy Love takes over and he starts doing sexual actions toward her, which Denise gets very upset.

This movie is very funny and it will keep your attention. I like the more serious movies that Eddie Murphy has played in. It is just amazing how Eddie played 5 different characters in this movie. And for Janet Jackson she is a very good actress, more than she gets credit for.

If you like funny movies you will like this one. But I would not purchase for my movie collection.
