Review: Or at least that's what another viewer told me while standing in line at the Austin Film Festival earlier this year. This movie was shot on fuji film, I believe, and the color is beyond explanation. Amazing, flawless close-up shots of Kathleen talking right into the screen. Original script. Original settings. Amazing actors. Definitely a must see!

Review: Polyamorous people come from all directions on the continuum and so does this movie. We are given a variety of characters with all their foibles, scars, and blemishes and somehow most of them rise above their faults. Working through is a theme lots of new movies are dealing with. Pay It Forward, Matchstick Men, and As Good As It Gets are examples. This movie is about one possible path we might take as urban, emotional, confused yet sexual beings that want an inclusive life instead of an exclusive one. That said... if you prefer movies with "perfect" characters in them, then "Saving Private Ryan" and "Matrix" are more your style I suppose. If you liked the complexity of Cabaret and the quirky of Singles, then this movie is similar and worth seeing.

Summary: Better than many high-profile romantic comedies i 've seen
Review: Splendor , the story of confused ordinary girl Veronica who enloys living a life in a threesome is really a refreshing romantic film experience. Having been directed with a speedy Mtv-like aura by Greg Araki , the film achieves to be both funny and tender. It's hard not to love it's three lead-actors , especially with the killer-lines they get to say in certain moments of the film ( "Who do you love?Him or us?" ) .All the cast delivers some good acting but the one who , in my opinion shines is Matt Keeslar as the goofy yet appealing Zed , an ex-drummer who eventually becomes his basic rival's best friend in order to get to be with Veronica too.

Summary: A Serious Film
Review: This is a daring topic and I wish more theaters had shown the film. Can two men love a woman and share her in a way that makes it work? This movie attempts to answer that question without compulsively tacking on moralistic, "don't try this at home" endings where the relationship ends disastrously almost before it starts with jealousy-crazed, immature tantrum-throwing on the part of the protagonists. It also blows a few stereotypes in a delightful way: the two men in question seem like normal, heterosexual guys, if a bit immature; the woman is a nice, girl-next-door type who is just trying to find someone to love her and hits the jackpot, rather than a nymphomaniac. Somehow, it's the rest of the world that starts looking a bit strange after a while -- nobody else seems to get it. The film isn't very explicit, which has its pluses and minuses -- other movies that have dealt with similar scenarios invariably do a thoroughly awkward, uncreative job of portraying a threesome, so it would have been nice to see an improvement on that -- but I think Araki wanted to focus on the romantic, emotional side of a threeway relationship rather than the sexual aspects, which this film does quite well. I would also have liked the film to be a bit longer to allow for more character development of the men (it's told from the woman's perspective so it's easier to develop her character than theirs); what was it about the men that made the woman think that it could work between the three of them? Those points aside, this is a serious film and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Witty, hip comedy
Review: This is Gregg Araki's most tasteful, amusing movie to date. It's a fast paced journey through the lives of three hip twenty-somethings. One is a drummer, one a writer and the girls is a actress. I would have liked to see the guys fall in love with each other too but their focus remained on the girl. I would have liked to see this story develop on a little bit more of an erotic track but that's not what Araki had in mind. Overall it was imaginative, sexy and hip. A great date movie whether your straight, gay or anything in between.

Review: This moive might be compaired to threesome but really this is a much better moive. This moive is not afraid to offend anyone and gose for the gold in this very funny and at times sexy moive. I bought this moive about a mounth ago and I have not regreted it once, If you are a Kathleen Robertson fan you will love it and if you are not you will be.

Summary: Can a women be with two men and it work?
Review: This movie is one of the best I have seen in a long time. I am mesmerized with it! Greg Araki has once again stunned me with his daring topics and managed to make a threesome romantic. It is a story about a woman that meets 2 men at the same time separately and she dates them until she decides that they should just share her. I thought the concept was crazy myself, thinking this was going to be some soft-porn, but delightfully isn't. James Duvall plays the romantic writer and the other guy Zed plays the sexy rockstar. She falls in love with both and they all live together...I don't want to give away too much but this movie breaks all of the boundries of the rules of love. It deals with, love, sex(of course), communication and growing up. I recommend this movie to any girl out there who has been in love with two men and wonders what it was like to be with them at once. I recommend this to men who would just like to make their date happy. This is a really different kind of movie and I love the concept of it! Greg never disapoints! With hits like Doom Generation, NoWhere and Totally F*(_)up, he gives us a fresh, funny look at double love in the 90's...close to the millenium! Well done GREG!

Summary: Araki descending
Review: To anyone thinking of buying or even renting this film: I cannot dissuade you enough. It is nearly impossible for me to believe that this movie was made by the same man who helmed The Doom Generation. It looks and feels like a bad Fox sitcom, and worst of all, its protagonist is the pinnacle of shallow conceit and selfishness. The dramatic question is ultimately, "Do I use ONE guy to avoid facing the consequences of my actions, or TWO?" Our heroine's only motivation is to find the most convenient and comfortable situation for herself, no matter who she hurts, and the only reason she is allowed to get away with it is that she's "cute". Had she been less classically attractive but more self assured... I would have said "No audience, or even character in the movie, would have allowed her to use their emotions in this way", but the fact is, no one with any self-assurance would have behaved as she does. By the by, I hate to ruin the tension for anyone who will eventually see this, but I must note that this is another in a long line of films (The Object of My Affection is another that jumps to mind) wherein many of the painful situations and decisions that fall upon the protagonists could have been avoided with the responsible use of one of those little latex things they sell at drug stores - condoms, I think they're called. This movie gives women a bad name; avoid it like the plague!
