Summary: My Girl!
Review: Hi, I just wanted to say what i thought of this movie. It was so good. The most i liked about it was how it was so realistic. It was very sad when Veta's only friend dies. She is heart- broken. Because her dad works at a funeral parlor, Veta is with dead people day in and day out. Everyday she goes to the doctor's office and complains about how she is dying. The doctor examines her but she is alright. This story reflects upon a girl who is dealing with death and her father's new girlfriend. I give this movie a five star. It is SOOOO good.

Summary: Wonderful; worth a good cry!
Review: My sister and I were sobbing in the theater when we went to see this movie. We'd heard it was about death, but were amazed how totally we would fall in love with the characters, particularly Anna Chlumsky's 'Veda', and their story. Every time this movie is on, I have to plop down in from of the TV and watch it. The entire cast is wonderful, but Chlumsky's appeal really shines. This sad, sweet and touching film will make you laugh at times, cry a LOT of the time, but leave feeling just plain warm.

Review: when i was younger i was obbsed with macauly culkin. i still do like this movie today though. Anna Clumsky is wonderful. macauly is pretty good he really dosent hasve much to do expect follow vada along and vget stung to death by bees. i agree with the viewers who said that this is a good way to introduce kids to death.if you have never scene this movie and like thsi sort of thing see it now.

Summary: A good movie?! Get a life!
Review: Who the heck wants to see a comedy with a sad ending?! I felt worse than disappointed when i went to see it. If you ask me, I think either whoever wrote the ending lost his mind or some dumbstupidin focus group for studio executives made it that way. I definitely agree with George Lucas's resentment about Hollywood and the way most movies are written these days. Studio executives who give more of a darn about ratings than art just don't know what the stupid they're doing. Save your money for happier endings.

Summary: A priceless classic!
Review: Vada Sultenfess is 11 years old and has just graduated from the fifth grade. It's 1972. She's all set to have the world's greatest summer, even if it's only with her only friend in the world, Thomas J., a short, kind of nerdish boy who basically idolizes Vada. Best friends for life, it's no wonder that Vada counts on him on all kinds of problems she has. But some problems she can't have him help her with. Vada's dad owns a funeral parlor, and since Vada's mother had complications and died soon after Vada's birth, Vada has been terrified of death. When Shelly, a typical 70s' dressed woman arrives to take the job of makeup artist, this adds on to Vada's problems. Harry Sultenfess likes Shelly, likes her so much that it's no surprise they're engaged and getting married soon. Vada, through the summer of 1972, learns about things. She learns how being the only kid in her former teacher (who she loves) Mr. Bixler's writing class IS "groovy", learns about why she's hemmoraging in the bathroom (in her words), and more. Then tragedy strikes.

Summary: This is the most sick twisted movie i have ever seen
Review: This movie is very sick and demented. I Know it is a movie about death but i think the idea that they killed Thomas J and his whole family with a sledge hammer and burned there dead boddies is very sick and then i found out it was Harry who killed them! Then the guy who wanted to take Shelly's Camper got beaten to death with a shovel was also very disturbing. I do think they could have chosen a better way of Vada getting out her sadness rather than murdering half the people on her block with a snow shovel. If you like the idea of seeing Dan Akroyd murder defenseless children then you might like this movie.

Summary: Adem Andress' My Girl Review
Review: A very moving film about two very close friends, Vada(Anna Chlunsky)& Thomas J.(Macaulay Culkin). Macaulay did not live up to his previous good acting eg. Home Alone, but apart from that it was an excellent film. I did feel quite sad when his character, Thomas J,. died and when he had his funeral. I think that Anna also played Vada with a lot of enthusiam for her character. I would recommend this film to every one. A FAB Film.
