Summary: Stands the Test of Time
Review: I never tire of watching this DVD -- even in July -- it's just as funny.

"You used up all the glue on purpose!" "Shut up, Ralphie!" "Ho - Ho - Ho"

Did you laugh at these? Then buy the DVD and enjoy the excellent video resolution that you CAN'T get with a VHS tape!!

Summary: Absolutely the best nostalgic Christmas comedy to come along
Review: A movie that will make you remember your childhood Christmases. What you got and didn't want; what you didn't get and wanted. Everyone in this movie sparkles. The acting is great; the story is great; the memories are great. It's a super movie.

Summary: This movie is a lot of fun.
Review: I have enjoyed this movie since Christmas of 1986 as a college student. Today, as a mother of three, I find it just as funny as it was back then.

Summary: You haved not TRULY lived until you see this movie!!!
Review: This has to be one of the best movies that I have EVER seen. I am in my late twenties and have a sister in her late teens, and we look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas to recite every line, word-for-word in this hilarious movie. We were in heaven during the 24-hour marathon this past Christmas. The movie was pure genius. Every time we see the movie, we see something we didn't see before. Word to the wise: Never stick your tongue to a cold flagpole...

Summary: A hilarious, knock-out family hit!!!!
Review: A Christmas Story is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I especially like the part where the family is stuck eating Christmas dinner at the Asian restaurant and they get an unpleasant surprise-The main course has its head on! It is also a warm family video that can be watched any time of the year. It provides a good look into the life of struggling, suburban families in the 1940s and makes us glad that we were born in a time where it doesn't hurt to spend a few bucks. Destined to become a Christmas classic.

Summary: Great movie but no widescreen version...?
Review: I love this movie, it's a classic like no other. Truly capturing the essence of childhood.

However, no widescreen version. I too bought this DVD with the hopes of viewing it widescreen and much to my chagrin, it wasn't. Very dissapointing.

Summary: A *GREAT* Christmas Story
Review: It is a hysterical movie like "Fudge" and the king of profanity. When you don't notice the kid is using lots of profanity himself. The lamp was so stupid! The bunny outfit was pathetic and the slide after santa was funny! The movie needed a couple more things to be perfect:

-make the slide really scary -make him not so attatched to his teacher (though it was funny). When he dreamt he was blind was funny! See it with your family this holiday season!

Summary: The greatest Christmas epic of the modern era
Review: Move over Jimmy, we don't care about those angels, Ralphie and his Red Rider BB gun are in town to shoot them out of the sky. This is without a doubt the best Christmas movie in the last twenty five years. The cast and writing are so dead on, you wish you could crawl into your tv and actually be Ralph. If you don't get this movie, you don't get Christmas.

Summary: what, no letterbox?
Review: I love this movie. I really do. It's a Christmas classic.

But there's no letterboxed version on this DVD. See, I've only ever seen this movie on TV, and I got this DVD just to see what I was missing. But all I got was the TV version without commercials. Very Disappointing. And there's not even any good extras to make up for it.

Don't bother with this one, just tape it off TV. It's just as good.
