Summary: This film is not to be missed!
Review: Fletcher McBracken is a struggling street performer in Texas. Roz Willoughby is an upscale art swindler in California. They couldn't have less in common... and couldn't need each other more.

The couple are brought together by way of the mystical, visions they've had of each other. And when their paths cross in Los Angeles, the hopefully romantic Fletcher is positive Roz is the woman of his dreams.

Cynical Roz, however, is far from lovestruck. Though intrigued by his sincerity -- and the possibility that he's a rich, easy con -- she does her best to deny his devotion... and her growing attraction. Then, as she begins to lower her guard and embrace Fletcher's quirky but honest Texas lifestyle, her worst fears are indeed confirmed: Fletcher is truly no more than a humble eccentric, and couldn't possibly be the love of her life. Once again denying herself a chance at happiness, Roz convinces herself their dreams were nothing more than illusions. Or... were they?

Still Breathing is a moving, mystical reminder that true love can be closer than you think... and happy endings are just a dream away.

Summary: Wake up Call
Review: I always thought Brendan Fraser was cool. He has great acting talent, VERY expressive facial expressions, and boyish guy-next-door looks. When I viewed this particular movie, however, I was blown away by the depths of which his talent moves you. It really made me stand up and notice his talent on a much larger scale. The movie, itself, has the challenges of a love story, but the peculiarities of the main character's life compels you to keep watching. It is full of so many surprises, you don't know what to expect next! Great viewing for those who are keen on sentimental meanings and tradition in their families.

Summary: Music as lovely as the movie itself
Review: I bought this cd within 24 hours of watching "Still Breathing." The fond memories of Roz and Fletcher and the green ivy were brought back to life so vividly as I listened to the cd for the first time, in my car, sitting in traffic.

I bought the cd just for the score pieces. The songs are wonderful, but Paul Mills's score is one of the reasons why I cried at the end of the movie. And that marked the first time I've ever cried because of a happy ending.

"Still Breathing" is a movie like no other. The film's soundtrack is a soundtrack like no other.

Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: I bought this DVD on the recommendations in ..........., thinking I was getting an interesting romance with Brendan Fraiser which my wife, my teen-aged daughters and I would enjoy. I hate to report that not one of us liked the movie nor plan to ever watch it again. Brendan and Joanna Goings are talented actors whose efforts go to waste on pedestrian dialog. The plot had potential but the movie was poorly executed, resulting in a muddled, uninteresting story. The development of Joanna's character left me totally uninterested in her, and Brendan's character was too reserved and underdeveloped to shine as he could have. The only verbal high point was Brendan telling off a slick Texas-hating conman, but even that could have been better written. Nothing else even began to get an emotional rise out of me. Romantic? The idea, yes - the movie, no. (For DVDphiles, even the 'Behind the scenes' extra was the worse I had ever viewed - simply a cameraman walking around harrasing the crew.)

Summary: The single most romantic movie
Review: I chanced onto this movie while flipping through the movie channels. I fell in love with it, and I have been waiting anxiously for the release of the DVD. It is wonderful and touching, without being sappy, and will appeal even to those who don't normally like Brendan Fraser.

Summary: Chick Flick for Guys
Review: I don't know why I love this film - but I do. Actually, I do know why... Joanna Going. To the point that I am able to overcome my distaste for the performance of Brendan Fraser. He is annoying, smarmy and soppy, but Joanna Going is so enchanting that Fraser's performance is immaterial. Buy the film to see her - period!
