Summary: Brilliant
Review: This movie was boring but indeed brilliant at the same time. Anyone who has worked as a temp. could relate - anyone who has worked could relate. It is a wonderful movie and the acting is superb - Collette is subtle but so perfect in her part. It is so truthful - when the office politics become so laughable these 4 characters band together and then you see what actually happens when real life comes in the way of Posey's character's "Let's all revolt" ways. It may be plain boring to some people but this is what really happens in corporate America.

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I have seen this movie 20 times since I bought it 2 weeks ago, and it just keeps getting better and better. I totally identified with Toni Collette's character Iris. I think that everybody will identify with someone in the film, even if it is Art, the "critter who guards the supplies", as Parker Posey's character Margaret puts it so succinctly. I worked as a temp for a couple of years and boy, does this movie hit it right on the nose. Nobody bothers to learn your name, you're just a "corporate call girl." It is an excellent movie, I think I'll go watch it again right now!

Summary: Clockwatchers is hilarious and so true
Review: Having worked as a temporary employee in the past, I immediately found myself drawn to this movie. Clockwatchers is a perfect portrayal of the "office politics" that occur every day at companies around the world. I could relate to many of the situations in it, and was able to laugh off many of the common frustrations that I had when working as a temp.

Summary: Beautiful
Review: So many beautiful things have been written about this movie in the other reviews, so I decided to join with mine. To me, CLOCKWATCHERS is the movie the closest to life. It's totally true that one with temp work experience can relate to the atmosphere on screen. The great Toni Collette gives an extraordinary performance as Iris. She's able to express any emotion without saying a word. In the end, I found myself shaking and deeply touched as it is just so strenghtening. In short, CLOCKWATCHERS is an honest and thought-provoking, incredibly acted and brillantly scripted movie-experience.

Summary: The movie is a not a "temp"... it's a keeper!
Review: "Clockwatchers" is to temporary office work what "Dr. Strangelove" was to nuclear holocaust. I just happened to come this little movie at the video store and I said,"What the heck, a couple of hours drooling over Parker Posey never hurt anyone." But when I watched the film... what a shock... It was not a traditional screwball comedy like the box cover hinted, but a deeply intelligent and thoughful black comedy about office manners and relationships. I demand they issue this film on DVD with audio commentary by director Jill Sprecher now!!!!

Summary: Put this movie on the market please!
Review: I chanced upon this movie, and I am so glad. Anyone who has EVER temped before can completely relate with the dark humor (especially when it pokes fun at the pettiness people lower themselves to in an office situation) It's amazing to watch because it's so real to life! Definitely not for the slapstick seekers, but not a life changer either. The movie is just really good at refocusing our zombied attention to what we know we should know. I really want to own it.

Summary: I loved it, friends hated it
Review: Ok, I loved the movie, all my friends hated it (I'm getting new friends).

I was a temp for 12 years, and I'm 32 now. Everything is in Clockwatchers is true.

Lisa is great with "This copier is broken..." routine, but Parker is hilarious. She files things randomly, gives advice over the phone without any knowledge of which she speaks...(Believe me, to a temp, this is funny).

Acquired taste definitely. Email me if you are in the Palm Springs area, maybe a Clockwatchers party is in order. -Geoffrey

Summary: Parker babe steals the show, as usual...go, girl, go!
Review: Parker Posey, while second-billed, is the real star of the film, playing a variation of the role she's been perfecting since "Dazed and Confused." A must for her fans....

Summary: better than the best
Review: Miss Parker Skinny bones Posey is back again w/ yet another good movie that has edge and comedic value. Although this movie IS a drama, it is filled w/ quirky humor and odd characteristics that people do (but don't admit doing it)... yes, you do take the plastic monkeys off your cocktails.

Summary: swell truth in today's society
Review: This video is amazing. I was totally struck inside myself. The essence of truth is overwealming. I encourage everyone who is to be to be and not without seeing. This video took my fears and made them fears. I have never been hit so hard. My friends thought it was a bit depressing, but it gives life to me. Life that will not end. For a true forgiveness that I do not know of. Clockwatchers, helps people find themsevles. It gives strength--while it crushes. Be strong and see this film. I desperately wish it were for sale. Anyone who has it recorded, please let me know. -Joshua Aaron
