Rating: Summary: Funny! If you're Mormon... Review: This movie is a great movie to watch...if you understand and know the jokes that go around in the Mormon church. If you're going to see it you have to understand that this movie is more based on the humorus side of the singles ward...a movie to make us laugh about the way life can get. But basicly its the same old plot as any movie...A guy doing almost anything to get a girl...even go back to church! But if you're deaf, the subtitles aren't completely accurate...but it's still really funny!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Latter-day Saint comedy Review: This movie is absolutely hilarious for Latter-day Saints who have been in a singles ward. It is made by Latter-day Saints for Latter-day Saints. It is a parody of the Latter-day Saint culture. It has jokes about everything from jello with carrots to mormon standard time.

Rating: Summary: This Movie Was 5 Stars (if you're LDS) Review: This Movie Was 5 Stars (if you're LDS). I laughed more during this movie than I have in a while. They really hit the spot with humor if you are mormon and understand what they're talking about. It is a MUST SEE for all Mormons!
Rating: Summary: a blast and a half for members Review: Unless you're LDS (or know a lot about the church, and I mean a LOT) most of this movie won't appeal to you. You'll probably end up sitting in front of the screen thinking, "what? huh?" very blankly. For those of us who are LDS, you'll most likely love this movie for its quirky jokes and amusing (usually over the top) anticts. Basically it's a bunch of LDS jokes with a plot. An inactive member becomes reinterested due to the new activities director in the singles ward. They have crazy friends and lots of misadventures, but their romance is rather cute and it's fun to watch their relationship develop despite all the road blocks they hit. Not everyone will like this movie, but I definitely enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Good Clean...ish...fun Review: You won't have to be a member of the LDS church to understand the humor in this movie. While you might miss some of the finer points of humor in the irony behind names like Eldon, and Dallin, there is much more fun to be had in this film. Set in Provo, Utah, the movie follows Jonothan as he goes about trying to charm Cammie, the local Singles Ward activity chair. Many different events cause the two to eventually fall for each other, and while that is certainly the whole point of the movie, one would be missing a great deal of humor in the small side stories of those who have...or haven't experienced either life in Utah, or life through a singles ward. From speculating about future husbands ("When I marry, my husband is going to be in GREAT shape. 6'4", 6% body fat..."), to joking about the church itself ("I was in an X rated Mormon film. No sex, strictly guilt!"), the movie presents itself with charm and apeal for all ages. Check it out, you're sure to get a few laughs.
