Summary: *tsk, tsk*, Mr. Myers
Review: Ok, I wanna start out by saying that Mike Myers IS (or at least WAS) a comedic genius. We can see that for sure based on Wayne's World, So I Married an Axe Murder, and yes, even the first two Austin Powers movies. But this last one...oh man. Can I tell you, I actually walked out of the theater. And I NEVER walk out of movies.

How many times can you do the same joke and have people still laugh? Apparently, only twice, the third is too much.

The beginning, is amazing, but after the hysterical opening sequence, it all goes down hill. Fat Bastard's painfully long description of the smell of his passed gas, the Mole's mole gag that went on for five minutes too long (and five minutes might as well be an hour in comic timing), the cheesy "Mr. Roboto" joke- it was HORRIBLE! I mean, in the scene with Dr. Evil and Mini-Me doing a rap song (AGAIN), NO ONE was laughing, and I was looking at the fire exits to plan my quickest escape.

Seriously, Mike, I know you can do better. This one's a stinko, plain and simple.

Summary: GOLDMEMBER
Review: Austin Powers in Goldmember is the best of the 3. But I like the first one Austin Powers International man of mystery better than the 2'nd one I own all3 on dvd and I like the first one, the second one is ok but the third one is awsome. All 3 Austin Powers movies are strongly reccomended! If you combinded all 3 together into 1 film the overall rating would be 4 stars.

Summary: Oops, they did it again, baby!
Review: The first time I saw this movie, there were basically two thoughts that stood out in my mind: (1) The first five minutes are absolutely hilarious, and (2) The rest of the movie had absolutely no plot whatever. However, with repeated viewings, the movie grows on you. Just don't expect any plot. All of the recurring characters are back (except Mustafa, what's wrong, didn't they want to kill him again?), and the new players Foxxy Cleopatra, Goldmember, and Nigel Powers (played quite well by Michael Caine) all fit in nicely as well. A nice addition also is Fred Savage as a "mole" planted in Dr. Evil's organization.

What little plot there is concerns a collaboration across time between Dr. Evil, back from space, and Goldmember, the owner of a swinging disco lounge in 1975 New York City, to destroy the world, just because they are evil and that is what evil guys do. In order to stop Austin Powers, they decide for some strange reason to kidnap his father in 2003 and hold him hostage in 1975. Without betraying too much of what little plot there is, let me just say that if you've seen the first two movies, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Basically, if you liked the first two movies (especially the second one), you will like this one. If you didn't, then you won't.

Summary: PLEASE....
Review: Im sorry, but Austin Powers simple doesnt belong in the 70's....Why didnt they do a movie about one of his earlier adventures before Vanessa and Felicity?...And as for having Beyonce Knowles co-star in it, she can't act to save her life. Actually, she really doesnt do anything in it but stand there and look sexy...The humor is almost completely different than the first two. Too much bathroom humor. Even though im not a big fan of Austin Powers, I can easily say that the first two are the only ones worth seeing...

Summary: Swollen Member
Review: Wow, talk about recycled jokes!

Okay, there's maybe 2 really funny scenes in the whole movie. Those being the only jokes that weren't regurgitated from "The Spy Who Shagged Me". Then after that, there's a few chuckles here and there. But nothing really balls-to-the-wall funny. The problem with Goldmember is it thinks it's hysterical, when in actuality the jokes are tired, beyond childish (even by typical Austin Powers standards) and just flat-out embarrassing. The fact that it's the third film in the series doesn't excuse it's lack of creativity. This thing is preposterously bad. A one trick pony, all the way. Just another addition to Comatose Comedy. There's been a rash of them lately.

Summary: Not the best one, but still very good.
Review: Like other trilogies, the third lacks what the first two delivered. This being said and true, it is still a very good movie. It is funny and does stay true to the whole "what you thought to be true you will find to be false" character of a trilogy. Plus, Britney's video in the extras is quite nice as well. Just sit back and put your brain on pause and enjoy....

Summary: In The Middle
Review: I mean, I love Mike Myers and all, but this movie wasn't what I expected. There were great settings, but I didn't really like the plot. The jokes were o.k. and I guess the ending and the beginning was interesting. But I guess there was something that just wasn't right.

Summary: Crass Commercialism
Review: While I thought most of Goldmember was funny (basically the same joke repeated two dozen times), I was dismayed at the blatant product placement in Goldmember. I guess they needed to find the money for Tom Cruise somewhere. Unfortunately, the conspicuous logo placements are distractions. It's pretty sad that the filmmakers didn't have the confidence in their movie to do away with this crass commercialism.

Summary: Austin Powers retains his mojo- with a little help!
Review: Groovy baby! Mike Myers returns for his third outing as shagspy Austin Powers- and he pulls it off (just!). Being a personal fan of the series, my expectations were high, and reading about all the star cameos, they were raised even higher before watching. This time, Austin has to return to the 70's, where he meeets up with his old flame, the wonderfully named Foxxy Cleopatra, to stop Dr.Evil and new baddy Goldmember, from melting the polar ice caps with a tractor beam ( i am not making this up!). As if you have guessed already, the film is low on plot, but thankfully big on laughs. The film does contain material that is up to scratch with the first two movies, unfortunately it also contains material that is not.
PROS- Dr.Evil and Mini-me are hilarious in the movie, and easily as good as in the 2nd Powers movie. Some of the characters, the evil ones particularly, provide big laughs in the film. Austin's latest girlfiend, Foxxy, is in my opinion the best of all three girls in the series, and Beyonce Knowles of destiny's child fame makes a gutsy acting debut, and is much better than the wooden Liz Hurley of the first film. Some of the set pices are as funny as ever, and the film does provide laughs.
CONS- Some of the humour is simply crude, or has been used too much before in the previous two films and is very tired, particularly the running gag about unidentified flying objects. Goldmember is not really funny, although he does raise laughs once or twice. Austin, suprisingly, hardly makes me laugh at all.
The Film-as said before, plot is low. Most of the characters featured are funny enough, and the film does provide a stream of constant giggling for me, if not big belly laughs. If you are a fan of the first two, chances are you will like this. If you want a film that makes you laugh and giggle and is entertaining, then this movie is for you. Some people i know were disappointed by this movie, on the content of previous films, but for me it kept to the same standard, if not raising it. In tone, it feels somewhere between the witty first movie, and the utterly puerile second one. Austin Powers in Goldmember contains some good slapstick and sight gags though, and is much funnier than your average comedy film. I would rate it to a fan or someone who wants a good laugh. Although the humour can be childish at times, it never crosses any lines, although if you are dutch you may think differently (anyone who has seen the movie will know what i mean). But the film does deliver laughs. But a word of warning: it has been noticed that this film is somewhat suffering from sequelitis, and if the team behing it want to make Austin Powers #4, then new gags are needed pronto.

Summary: Not the best Auston Powers - but second best
Review: Goldmemeber, the third Austin Powers flick, is not the best of the three, but the second best. I like "The Spy Who Shagged Me" better. But, if you are like me and prefer to have the whole collection, I would buy it. There are some funny moments, it's just not a laugh out loud for the whole film Austin Powers. In summary, it's not horrible, but it's not my favorite Austin Powers flick. Hope that helps you some!
