That Old Feeling

Summary: Don't look here for comedy
Review: While looking for a light-hearted comedy to distract me from the past heartbreaking week, I meandered through the Comedy section of our video rental store and remembered seeing what seemed funny previews of this movie and being somewhat of a Bette Medler fan (especially when she sings) took a chance on this movie. BIG MISTAKE. In the first few minutes she let the "F" word fly and I had a sinking feeling I might have made a bad selection but continued to hope for the best. At a time in our culture when you think traditional family values could not continue their scary moral freefall, this movie with its total disregard for the sanctity of marriage vows shows the fall continues. It glorifies adultery, and mocks the sanctity of marriage at every turn. One redeeming love song by Bette mid-movie was the only redemptive part of the whole movie. The only character with any seeming character even had that stripped away by the end of the movie. I am sorry that my rental dollars "voted" for more of the same from Hollywood.
