Review: This is an underapprieciated gem that was poorly advertised. It has one of those "good comedy plots," because it has a busy, Mel Brooks style plot, but it has lots of comic twists that are halarious. I know the ad looks awful, and stupid, and you think this ranks down with Freddy Got fingered, the new guy, and other comedy movies that make you want your money back just for seeing the trailer. It's not. It has so many intervened comedic plots. I wish the dvd had deleted scenes, because that would be anice addition to this short film. For what it is, it's awesome. I wouldn't buy it, but I generally don't buy movies. This one is technically an average movie, but is very entertaining. Since this flopped in theaters, they shouyld have advertised this better for the video and dvd release, because it could have been exceedingly popular on home video. But the studio was probably smart, since everyone I knew had heard of it, and wanted to see it. These are kids that like Freddy Got Fingered, and they thought this was bad. This film critics hated, but amazon liked. Worth renting!

Summary: Good premise poor execution
Review: Slapstick..attempts at humor masks this hero's journey through space an time. He learns more about himself as he encounters many new religions and cultures. All encounters are intertwined with each other in some fashion and there are no lose ends. It fits the formula well with a timeline and a direction to a goal that not even the hero is aware of.

Summary: Good film
Review: I was absolutely amazed that this film was good. It looked so corny when it was released in theaters, but I finnaly saw it and really liked it. A good film to watch with everyone.

Summary: Very entertaining movie
Review: "Bubble Boy" wants to tell his true love how he really feels, and has to get to Niagra Falls from California. He doesn't have any immunities, so he builds himself a portible bubble and hits the road. Along the way, he runs into one crazy character and situation after another, which is where the major laughs occur. It's very similar to Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Bubble Boy is a good movie to see if you're looking for some laughs. As a bonus, most of the music in the film is great. Catchy songs galore, ranging from sentimental to pop punk.

Summary: Bubble Boy Rules!
Review: My huband rented this movie and I was so sure that it was going to be stupid. But guess what? It wasn't. There were parts so funny I thought I was gonna die laughing. My son even liked it and he's only four (he didn't understand it all but loved the boy in a bubble). This is a sweet and funny movie. It has something for everyone.

Summary: Hooray For Bubble Boy!
Review: When I first saw previews for this movie, I giggled a little, but was certain I wouldn't ever actually watch the movie. It seemed a tad bit silly to me. That is, until a friend of mine brought the movie by. Absolutely hysterical!!
Jimmy (Jake Gyllenhaal) Livingston was born without an immune system. He spends his life in a sterile environment - a plastic bubble. His mother, played by Swoosie Kurtz, takes it upon herself to teach him everything, from grade school to the facts of life. She is obsessed with keeping Jimmy in a sterile and sin-free environment. She succeeds until Chloe, played by Marley Shelton, moves next door. When Chloe looks at Jimmy, she doesn't see him as a freak, but as a wonderful, interesting boy that she would love to know better. After years of friendship that can go no further past the bubble, Chloe starts dating. Jimmy's perfect world shatters when Chloe announces that she is going to Niagara Falls to get married. Heartbroken, Jimmy decides to stop Chloe from making the biggest mistake of her life. He builds a portable plastic bubble and sets off for Niagara Falls. What follows is an incredible adventure full of laughter and mayhem.
Jake Gyllenhaal is great in his portrayal of the naive bubble boy who realizes all he's been missing while trapped within the plastic bubble. Swoosie Kurtz is absolutely hysterical as Jimmy's mother. I couldn't stop laughing. In fact, when I was forced to miss the ending of the movie, I ran to the local video store to rent it. This movie is highly recommended to those who don't mind the stomach cramps they are likely to get from all the laughing they'll be doing!!

Summary: I laughed so hard I cried!
Review: I got this one because I wanted to watch something without a message, something without subtitles (been watching a lot of those lately), and something that didn't take itself too seriously and I watched this movie because I.. (ahem).. have a thing for Mr. Gyllenhaal!

This was one wicked comedy. I can't believe how far it pushed the envelope at times. This is not for the politically correct. If you're sensitive to racial or religious slurring don't get this one. If not, you'll have a great time. See it!

Summary: It's HYSTERICAL!!! A MUST!!! Seriously...You'll love B-Boy
Review: ...I thought this movie was going to be on the edge of offensive. Instead it was motivational and very inspiring, not to mention, FLY OFF THE COUCH FUNNY! ...I laughed so hard that 2 or 3 times I literally flew off the couch. Non of us found this movie offensive(IN ANY WAY). To put it in perspective...THIS IS A MOVIE. I am a Christian and there is an obsessive Christian in this movie. I haven't heard any Christians crying about how offensive this movie is. That's because we realize it is a MOVIE. I also live in the south. This movie pokes fun at HICKS. Non of us are crying about that either. That's because...IT's a MOVIE!!! But as for the BUBBLE BOY character, he was inspiring and showed he was not going to let his disability get in his way. There's nothing wrong with that. But people just had to throw a fit. I know why, because it was a comedy and not a serious film...
THIS MOVIE IS FANTASTIC AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO LOVES(and knows how) TO LAUGH...Bubble Boy is simply a MOVIE! A hysterically funny movie at that. It helped me get away for one night and I LOVE IT!
