Summary: Moronic.
Review: Leslie Nielsen has been wrongfully accused of being funny in this pointless mess.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is the funniest movie ever!!
Review: Wrongfully accused was sooo funny. I cracked up the whole movie. Everyone should see it! It is HILARIOUS!!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A real pleasant surprise
Review: (Actually, I'd rather give it 3.5 stars, but it's closer to 4 than 3.) After "Spy Hard", I was really prepared not to like "Wrongfully Accused". It has received flak enough in the papers, and I actually thought Leslie Nielsen had been playing this kind of part for too long and that there was nothing he could do that I hadn't seen before. Boy, was I wrong. He's just been warming up. Though not as funny as the first Naked Gun film (The film against which I now measure all comedies), it's way better than "Spy Hard". I laughed real hard at some small touches like the bouncing prisoner transport bus (it's not intelligent humour, okay, but it looked - and sounded - so silly, I had to laugh in spite of myself !), and the scene where Nielsen was chased by the derailed train from hell (The scene where the train "peeped" out from its "hiding place" - you gotta see it to understand it - was almost horrific enough for a horror movie!). And Richard Crenna was simply wonderful in his Tommy Lee Jones parody. But no-one has better delivery than Nielsen. No-one but him could say lines like "You're lying like a banana ! -They come in big yellow bunches !" and the "Now all I have is a one-way ticket to Palookaville !" speech and make them sound believable. But, as with all his comedies, you probably have to like this particular genre to really appreciate it. I do, and I did.

Summary: HILLARIOUS
Review: First off,I loved "The Fugitive" and the other movies this movie spoofs, and spoofs well I might add, but I also love a good laugh and this movie provides those in abundance. Nielsen is at his best as is the supporting cast, especially Richard Crenna his send up of the T.L.Jones character is brutally funny.Trust me, if you want to laugh watch this movie, although you will probably have to rewind it several times to get all the jokes you missed while you were laughing.

Summary: RIGHTFULLY HILARIOUS
Review: My sides are still aching from laughing at WRONGFULLY ACCUSED, Leslie Nielsen's most consistently funny work since the NAKED GUN days. From the start to the finish, there are countless sight and verbal gags to keep you holding your side from the sidesplitting laughter. As in the best Nielsen spoofs, this one has references to other hit movies, some insanely scripted lines and one ridiculously funny scene after another. Joining Nielsen are Richard Crenna, Sandra Bernhard, the luscious Kelly Le Brock and Melinda McGraw; Aaron Pearl as the one-armed, one eyed, one legged killer; and even Michael York as the murdered victim. The humor is sometimes slapstick; sometimes crude, but always on target. Director Pat Proft (a writer from the NAKED GUN days) should be slapped on the back for giving Nielsen his best vehicle in years. And Leslie rises to the occasion with his usual brand of off the wall, over the top hilarity. I loved this movie and recommend it to anyone who has found some of Nielsen's post NAKED GUN movies not that funny. This one is great.

Summary: Even the credits are funny
Review: From the moment the words "Leslie Nielson is... Leslie Nielson... in: Wrongfully accused" appear on the screen, you'll know (if you like the genre) that you're in for a treat. The jokes "are like bannanas: they come in big yellow bunches", and will get you laughing so hard that you might end up with a plate of spaghetti wrapped around your arm. In this movie, Nielson, portraying (Jack) Ryan Harrison (Ford), is in trouble. He "has a gun, not with him, but he's got one", and he's been framed for the murder of a famous diplomat, Hibbing Goodhue, the husband of Lauren Goodhue. When Harrison arrives at the house for a romantic meeting with Lauren (and to bring some 2% milk for her), he is attacked by a mystery man with one arm... and one leg and one eye. He is taken on a pleasant bus ride destined for "a hellish prison", but the bus suffers an unfortanate accident involving a bannana peel, which allows Harrison to escape his fate and attempt to prove his innocence.

The escape of several prisoners destined for prison catches the attention of Police man Fergus Falls (the first name is spelled way off, sorry), who brilliantly parodies Tommy Lee Jones from both US Marshals (which I've actually seen) and the Fugitive (Which I still need to see). He has his work cut out for him though, since Harrison is "as slick as a lizard in Jerry Lewis's hair" and, with Harrison slowly bringing the true perpitrators to Falls' attention, he realizes that "this case has more twists and turns than Chubby Checker in a blender".

Harrison also has help from the beautiful Cass Lake, whose motives are unclear, and whom Harrison can never trust. Will they fall in love, or will Harrison leave her, quoting Beatles lyrics with wild abandon? Will he find the one armed, one legged, one eyed man before he attempts an assassination with a bionic leg? Will Harrison ever get the diaper smell out of his clothes? You'll just have to watch the movie to find out.

Summary: Not Nielsen's best work
Review: Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy any work of Leslie Nielsen, the man is hilarious. But Wrongfully Accused is not one of his best works. It just doesn't compare to The Naked Gun movies, etc. It just feels like this movie reaches too far sometimes. It definitely has its moments, but it is not consistent. I'll watch this movie over and over again because I really enjoy it, but I give it 3 stars simply because I love Nielsen's other stuff so much more. This movie has some pretty cheesy stuff in it, and that is saying a lot for a Leslie Nielson movie. This movie is funny, but others are much funnier. And there is my opinion, for whatever it is worth.

Summary: I'd give my copy away...
Review: ...but would have to really hate the recipient. This is the Worst movie that I've ever seen.
I normally like Nielsen's comedies, but this one just makes me cry for the wasted time. In the DVD commentary, the director jokes that he was picked because he is fast and cheap. Unfortunately, I think this movie is a Hollywood joke on the audience. The film-makers realize that they can make money on Anything since apparently We have no taste.
There are lots of attempted gags, but zero subtlety. A spoof needs to be based on more than simply setting up recognizable moments from a random collection of better movies.

Summary: Great Spoof Movie
Review: This movie is based on real events from actual movies. This is the ultimate spoof and a great Leslie Nielsen movie. It parodies more movies than you can shake a severed arm at! It's got action, comedy and romance, but mostly comedy. This laugh-a-minute class Nielsen movie is sure to be a great addition to your DVD library! A Great Movie!
