Summary: A Wonderful Queer Valentine
Review: "I Think I Do" has the perfect ingredients for a date movie: belly laughs, attractive cast, and a sweet story.

In a nutshell, this is the story of a reunion of college friends 5 years down the road. The movie begins with a few slices of their college lives to set the tone, and then when everybody is brought together again for their friends' wedding, old crushes come back to the surface, and secrets come out.

The cast is very appealing and the story is adorable. Curl up on the couch with your special someone and enjoy this charming little film.

Summary: A Fine and Romantic Independent Film
Review: "I Think I Do" is a cute spin on the gay romance film - something akin to the screwball comedies of the 1930's with a healthy dash of "The Philadelphia Story" thrown in for good measure.

The film starts out with the main character, Bob, and his blatant crush on his college roommate Brendan. Several years later he's in an almost too comfortable relationship with the hunky soap opera star he writes for when he's reunited with Brendan at a wedding. In the intervening years - Brendan has realized he's gay and in love with Bob. But he isn't sure about how to tell Bob about his feelings or what to do about the soap opera boyfriend, Sterling. Add the drama and comedy of old friends reuniting and the who do I really love and you have a wonderful and funny little film.

The writing is crisp and sharp and direction is well done too. The music is fantastic and centers around the classic sappy pop tunes of the Partridge Family (that we all love but almost no one admits to). The supporting cast is wonderful too - I especially enjoyed the bride-to-be's issues with her mother. This really is a good movie for the hopelessly romantic.

Summary: Funny twists and enjoyable
Review: "I think I do" Is an entertaining and funny movie. It takes place over years and shows a group of friends in school and in the careers they take on. It all comes to a head when they get back together for the wedding of a friend and the comedy begins. It was well acted, well scripted and the film quality was great. Its not overly sexually graphic and is actually a sweet romantic story that would be great for mixed crowds. It is very funny, not heavy or dark, has no social message about getting sick or addiction. Its about being with the one you love and accepting that some things take time. It is a good investment and a possitive addition to your video collection.

Summary: Romantic Comedy Wrapped in Timeless Partidge Family Songs
Review: "I Think I Do" is a wonderful comedy drama about a group of college friends who are in search of love and stability. The film focuses on the complicated situation between two male roommates, who consealed their affection for each other even years after graduation. When two of the clique (boy/girl) get married, everyone reunites and gets to evaluate their own (mostly pitiful) love-life on the wedding day. -- From the parents of the bride (who have nothing to say to each other) to over-the-top relatives, everyone has their two cents to add, in order for "the young ones" to have a wonderful life. Offering laughs every minute, this film entertains throughout, climaxing with a story-book ending. -- The Sound Track, consisting of Partridge Family songs, is an added touch of class. Still considered "progressive", the film deals with the subject of homosexuality in the matter-of-fact kind of way that it should have been dealt with all along. There was no mention made at all of the fact that the bride and groom were an inter-racial couple; again, something that rightfully was treated without any big words of explanation. We've come a long way, but occasional "outrage" at films such as this one shows that we haven't arrived yet. *****

Summary: We waited years for this
Review: A comedy that portrays gay relations in an unexpected way.No shame and a happy ending!A wonderful cast, that bring the talents of Christian Maelen to the general public, tell a tale of intrigue, ingenue and general mishaps that leaves you feeling sad, happy and ecstatic all at once!If you can survive the train-station scene, then "Beaches" is child's play!(Who wouldn't like to have someone say that to them?)May Christian flourish as an actor(and as a gorgeous man!)and show us what he's really capable of.A MUST.For everyone. How's about a sequel guys?

Summary: Cute gay formula comedy - based on straight "who-loves-whom"
Review: A cute romantic comedy set around a wedding reunion of college roommates, where old crushes and frustrations are awakened. While formulaed, I found myself chuckling with the good timing of the curves. Like modern video, you must believe that everyone but kooky relatives have near-model looks. One well acted sensitive scene near the end brought a tear and a smile.

Summary: A Disappointment.
Review: A Disappointment.
I found this movie/DVD to be very ephemeral. Bob, the main character, especially, was so shallow and untrusting of his own feelings that the movie just did not work. All grown up, no gay character took their relationship seriously. Maybe this film works for people in their 20's but not people in their thirties and forties. Sure, call it a comedy. I didn't laugh. Some of the acting was so rigid and stereotypical. The only saving grace in this movie was Guilermo Diaz, the straight savvy friend of Bob. His acting was believable. I was expecting something more mature. It was as funny as the Partridge Family is today.

Summary: Just loved it
Review: A great film for romantics, gets better with more viewings
Found audio commentary by Alexis Arquette and Brian Sloan very entertaining and informative, pity the cut scene's they mention are not included. Just buy watch and you will enjoy.

Summary: A charmer
Review: A rarity: A gay film that's not driven by cynicism and loathing. A funny, uplifting comedy that, to boot, offers a happy ending. This is not a ground breaking film, (nor does it aspire to be) but it is a first rate, well acted, written, produced and directed romp, one that chooses to shine a positive light on gay men and their relationships. Guys, a great first date movie.
