Review: ... Dixie Evan's riotous "Casting Couch" , Patti Waggin's
athletic "Parisian Pickup", and the over-the-hill Jean Carter sing the blues classic "Hot Nuts" & then do a lumbering striptease. Some fun stuff here, but not all the vignettes are top-notch. You get some Tempest Storm & Lili St. Cyr, but would have loved to seen Jennie Lee's and Alouette LeBlanc's tassel-tossing. Most of the music has that blaring,wah-wah bump n' grind beat -- Something Weird should put out a CD of some of these tunes.

Summary: Sort of interesting...yet super boring!
Review: As a kid growing up in the 1950's I always wanted to see the movies we kids weren't old enough to see. (Anybody remember "Mom and Dad"?). After seeing this compilation, I have to say we didn't miss very much! Thanks to the weirdos at Something Weird Video for making these rarities available but overall these are some of the most boring films I've ever seen in my life. The two features are incredibly bad and the shorts are even worse! "A Virgin in Hollywood" (not even a hint of nudity!) and "Too Hot to Handle" (a filmed burlesque show which even includes those lame baggy pants comedians!) are the features and the numerous shorts with dancing babes in G strings and pasties will put you to sleep in a very short time. Several shorts and two inserts on "Virgin in Hollywood" are in poor anaglyphic (red/green glasses) 3-D. 40 minutes of burlesque trailers are the best thing on the disc. Thanks to Mike Vraney at Something Weird for pulling this stuff (some 7 hours on 2 discs!!!) out of the trash can just for it's historical value but if you are looking for cheap thrills or even laughs, forget this one. Billy Bob says don't check it out!

Review: HI,WE VIEWED THIS FILM AND IT WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST BURLESQUE FILM I HAD EVER SEEN. THE QUALITY WAS VERY BAD AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BORING!!!

Review: O.K., you either love this stuff or you don't. If you are NOT a believer then you'll be BORED! But if you dig Men's magazines of the late 40s/early 50s and pin-up babes, you'll be in for seven hours of seventh heaven. You wont find any FULL nudity and not all of the dancers even strip down to the obligatory pasties and g-string, but taken in small doses, this is naughty, nostalgic fun. Heaps of trailers, lots of exotic dancers, some risque comedy shorts, TWO features, a gallery of burlesque posters, photos and art PLUS a few EASTER EGGS....so flick around the menus for some neat surprises. My favorite is the dirty photo book pitch by some squinty-eyed old perv that is absolutely hilarious. Hey, I'd buy THAT for a Dollar!!! A small booklet is enclosed featuring an interview with Lili St. Cyr, one of the more famous strippers, who happens to be the most dull. You'll also see bruised thighs and bandaged toes but not a silicon beef-up in sight. Behold!...natural babes, guys!! As I look at the vintage bimp'n'grind clips, I kinda wonder what happened to all these chicks.....
A great companion piece to VCI's SEX AND BUTTERD POPCORN 4-disc set. Both are a MUST for horny nostalgics who long for the good ol' daze!! They'll never come again, Fellas. It's a Politically Correct scene now so it's great to see how the babes here didn't mind, and even enjoyed, being the butt of sexist jokes by baggy-pants comics. It was all just good, clean, dirty fun. They were there to titilate, tantalize and knew exactly what they were doing .....and having a good time doing it. God bless 'em all!

Review: This is another Something Weird disc set to get for the extras. The 2 theatrical features draaaag! But the trailers, strip tease shorts, and promotional art galleries are fun and fascinating!

Every woman here is pre-silicone and botox. Body types vary, but most of these dolls have the one thing modern cosmetic science can't offer: CHARACTER!

There's such a variety of perfomers and surprisingly, my favorite was not one of the better known stars of burlesque. I found the quality and content of this DVD to be excellent. This one is a nice addition to any burlesque collection.
