Summary: Excellent, Funny, Spicy, Hot, Very recommendable!
Review: ""Chasing Papi"" is a wonderfully made movie, funny, hot, spicy with the most incredible cast! The most beautiful 4 people on the planet are the main characters, so no wonder this movie is such a tremendous hit!! Too hot to handle!

¡CALIENTE!

It's about 3 gorgeous young ladies in love with the same man without knowing this of each other.... This man is equally gorgeous Méxican/American megastar Eduardo Verástegui! The funny twists and turns this gives are many, as the 3 ladies decide to teach their ""Chasing Papi"" a lesson....

Very succesfully and top-ranked in the box-office this movie is a smashing success!

Fox 2000 struck gold with this movie, now set to break box office records in the USA, and soon storming over America Latín and Europe as well.

In concept and production a very well made romantic comedy, very entertaining to watch. It shows the best of the Latin culture, bridging the Latin and Anglo-Americans, and show all Americans the wonderful great potential of the Latin American people.

This romantic comedy does what it promises, it makes you feel good, and makes you leave the theater very satisfied.

To speak in detail about the contents of the movie I however refer to the Chasing Papi homepage for a thorough description. To repeat those in this review is not useful. You will find all additional movie info at the Chasing Papi homepage.

Type ""Chasing Papi"" and you will find the homepage popping up at all search engines. You can also watch the movie-trailer there!

Some about the cast:

Absolute superstar is the protagonist Eduardo Verástegui, the fastest rising star in Hollywood at this moment.
Welcomed in the press as the 21th Century Tom Cruise!

The emerald green eyed Eduardo received many prestigeous awards as best actor, and once you see him at work you know why. Not long ago Eduardo appeared in the worldwide #1 video-hit ""Aint't It Funny"" with Jennifer Lopez as the impressive, beautiful and muscular gipsy dancer. Seen in 100 countries Eduardo is already a megastar, this movie adds to the large credits of this impressive and talented young man.

The 3 heroin-ladies of this movie are all megastars too, their beauty is stunning, their acting excellent, making this movie such a fiesta to watch!

Very entertaining, very recommendable and too hot to handle!

Enjoy!

Summary: Dreadful Screwball Comedy
Review: "Chasing Papi" is about a modern day Don Juan who winds up with more than he bargained for in the romance department. Thomas is a young Latino hunk who has three different girlfriends in three different cities. When his paramours finally find out about each other, a round of customary craziness ensues.

"Chasing Papi" is an attempt to revive those old screwball comedies of the 1930's and 1940's, but it fails on virtually every level. It's almost impossible to believe that it took four writers to come up with a screenplay as lame as the one we have here. Of course one doesn't expect rocket science in a film of this type, but even in a screwball comedy a fine line needs to be established between the nonsensical and the stupid - and "Chasing Papi" crosses over that line with alarming regularity. It takes a certain rhythm and style to bring off humor in this vein and director Linda Mendoza fails to provide either of those qualities in this production. She has taken a cast of attractive, undeniably talented actors and actresses and forced them to overact so atrociously that any attempt at real humor is virtually eliminated from the very outset. "Chasing Papi" relies on maniacal behavior, nonstop blithering and corny reaction shots to achieve its laughs, but the laughs don't come because the effort is so transparently forced and obvious. In fact after about 15 minutes of watching these stereotypical shenanigans, you'll find yourself yearning for some much needed wit and subtlety. And an occasional time out for some therapeutic silence wouldn't hurt either.

"Chasing Papi" is certainly pretty to look at (both in its characters and its highly colorful settings), but the overall effect of the film is one of annoyance rather than enjoyment.

Summary: CHASING PAPI
Review: "Chasing Papi" is my favorite movie of 2003. Actresses Jaci Velasquez, Sofia Vergara, Roselyn Sanchez, Joy Enriquez, and Lisa Vidal all did a great job in the feel-good movie. I was also pleasantly surprised to see two former members of Eden's Crush in the movie, as well as Christina Vidal ("Taina"). My only disappointment was that Angela Via's song titled "Papi Chulo" was not played during the movie, nor did she star in the movie, as was previously rumored. "Chasing Papi" is almost entirely in English, and there is very minimal offensive content, since it is rated PG. Movie critics tend to call this movie shallow and plot-less, but you will only agree with them if you have a very refined taste in movies. When I first saw this movie at the local theater, I was rolling from laughter every few minutes. Maybe I was just excited to see some of my favorite singers hit the big screen, or maybe I just liked looking at Sofia Vergara--I don't know. All I know is that I've since seen the movie six times, now that I own it on DVD. I'd recommend renting this movie next time you visit Blockbuster. You might just like it.

Summary: 2 stars for cameos
Review: A dull dull movie that perpetuates stereotypes of latinos in the US and abroad. I was very bored with this movie and found the plot to be very insulting. I enjoyed seeing some of my favorite latino actors and performers on the big screen, but for a somewhat mainstreamed movie that one can buy in target, I think it's just a shame.

The whole cast was pretty much of Latin America origin, but that did not do much to glorify latinos as capable and deserving actors on the spotlight. The plot and dialogue dehumanizies and insults many.

Summary: Chasing Papi, hot, spicy, funny movie, great cast! ¡Caliente!
Review: A very recommendable movie this is! A fun-filled romantic comedy, starring the 4 most beautiful persons on this planet!

Fox 2000 struck gold with this hit, by hiring these 4 gorgeous people, and making this unique American/Latino movie.

The fun starts when beautiful, gorgeous Mexican Superstar Eduardo Verástegui (playing Tomas) is being loved by three woman at the same time. Those 3 dazzling beautiful woman soon discover they all are in love with the same man, and this is the kick-off start of a spicy, hot, romantic funfilled comedy!

All the four Latin/USA superstars are performing superb, and protagonist Eduardo Verástegui, the emerald green eyed super-talent from warm sunny México, shows why he has won many prestigious awards as best actor.

Everybody who saw this great young man at work never forget his name! He starred in the mega-hit of Jennifer Lopez, ""Ain't It Funny"" not long ago. There Eduardo was the unbelievably beautiful gipsy muscular hero, his incredible looks went around the planet in 100 countries! This movie adds to the impressive credits of this fastest rising male star in Hollywood, the 21th Century successor of Tom Cruise, welcomed by the enchanted press.

The three ladies of ""Chasing Papi"" are equally huge superstars, very talented as well, and too hot to handle! They too are among the Hollywood newest generation superstars.

Chasing Papi is the enjoyment of looking at beautiful people, in a fast paced very original funny movie, it makes you feel well after leaving the movie-theater.

The enthousiastic, dedicated crew very clearly conveyed this by this movie, a movie uniting the Hispanic and Anglo Americans stronger together, and this movie contains the subtle hidden message of finding your inner strength, as the receipe for a happy and good life.

Good life certainly implies seeing this wonderful movie, buy the DVD/and or video and enjoy!

Summary: Bought for Jaci Velasquez only & Got more than I expected!
Review: As I said above, I wanted to see how Ms. Velasquez could act and she can act very well. The movie itself (a box office bomb) is actually a cute movie. It has a good story behind it, not just a movie making Latinas look like hoochie mamas! It does more than that, it shows that Latinas can do alot (not that I ever doubted them).

The whole movie is about a big hunk of man(I'm a straight dude saying this, good LORD!!!!) named Tomas Fuentes who has three girlfriends: a cocktail waitress/wannabe dancer named Cici in Miami, a prim and proper heiress named Patricia in New York and the other chick played by Roselyn Sanchez who's character name I can't remember, she plays a Latina Rights lawyer. All three of them meet when they go to his house in Los Angeles and decide to deal with Tomas later because he's unconscious. I know the plot makes no sense from my explaining it, but the movie is cute and everyone should see it. 90% of the movie is in English with the occasional Spanglish term or two. Great movie with three great actresses (JACI IS SO COOL AND BEAUTIFUL! and Sofia Vergara is a hottie!) Rent this movie before you buy it because it's not exactly an Oscar nominatable movie!

Summary: Don't be mislead...listen to me!
Review: Chasing Papi is another one of those embarassingly unfunny comedies that people seem to believe just the opposite. This "film" contains the ridiculous "plot" of a no-acting talent stud of a man who is involved with 3 women at the same time. They all find out and get mad and decide to get revenge. The film has no visual style at all, the situations terribly unbelievable, every joke UNFUNNY, and even at its short running time it gives that uneasy feeling in your stomach that you'd rather be dead. Don't rent this waste of time. Please,PLEASE don't buy it. I work at a video store and I got to see it for free, and I would've rather watched GIGLI.

Summary: A GREAT FILM IF IT'D BEEN DONE IN SPANISH
Review: Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this film a lot, but my question is why this film was not filmed in spanish with English subtitles. The guy's accent was terrible and made it more difficult to make a more real story...I hope they keep doing movies like this, although Ms. Vergara should lose the accent... a litle more ESL would've helped!

Summary: This was a horrible and stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid movie
Review: From beggining to end i was wincing in pain about how unfunny and stupid the movie was. Maybe I don't get it because i'm not latino, but then again i find most latino comedians and actors very funny and entertaining, so it just must be this bag of crap.
