NEVER THE LESS ITS FUN AND CLEVER JUST THAT BILLY BOB THORTON IS FUNNY CATE BLANCHETT IS CLEVER AND BRUCE IS SERIOUSLY MOVING GRADE- B+

Summary: Full of Charm
Review: Bandits drags in a few places, especially when it's dealing with the awkward love triangle between the three main characters. But the movie, and the male leads, are so darned likeable that it doesn't really bother me so much that the movie went on a little too long. The framing device and the nonlinear plot were a nice touch, too, a la Pulp Fiction, but not at all distracting from the charm of the main characters.Bandits won't be a classic, but it's a heck of a lot of fun, and it's a fun ride. It's a popcorn flick with loads of charm.

Review: this was a surprising movie from start to finish. very funny and smart, it has my blessing to sit in my movie cabinet and be a frequent visitor of my dvd player one day. to tell you anything about it would only spoil the fun so i'll just give you some tips. 1)it's great on the big screen, but watching it on video won't kill the effects. 2)bring a date. not so you can ignore the movie tho. so you can *both* laugh your buts off. 3)do not buy small candies. why you ask? because you will laugh so hard you will lose them all. and 4)for the love of buttered popcorn, just make sure you see it before you die.

Summary: HILARIOUS
Review: I saw this movie on a whim because the previews looked funny and because I have always enjoyed watching Willis and especially, Billy Bob Thornton. I was completely blown away when I saw this. I expected it to be cute and quirky but it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I laughed alot. Willis is great, as usual. Thornton is a scene stealer. You almost can't wait for him to say or do something even goofier than he just got done doing! The storyline was extremely unique and enjoyable. The characters were believable and extremely likable. The music in the movie was fantastic. I found the movie to be entertaining and just overall FANTASTIC. I dont think it'll win any awards, but that's ok. The best films often do not win the awards anyway. Please go see this if you just want to relax and forget about things for a while and laugh. See Thornton at his all time best!

Review: A light-hearted comedy that I walked out on. Not that it's bad, but it's definitely a chick flick and I wasn't in the mood. Similar to "Pearl Harbor" in the sense that two men are fighting over a woman, so women will enjoy that fantasy. Bruce Willis has the same expression on his face the whole time. (Normally he's able to switch between all three of the expressions that he's mastered...all smirks.) Major releases are beginning to get more irritating in the sense that the men are always sheepish dummies and the women are the tough geniuses. Molded straight from the Hollywood cookie-cutter. As far as the title, it's appropriate. The producers are Bandits... They stole my [money]!

Review: This has got to be onbe of the best movies that i have seen in a long time. I thought it looked good in the trailer, but man was it better in actuality. The ending was astonishing and surprizing. you really have to know movies to be able to predict the ending. 5 stars.

Summary: Implausable, but fun
Review: The movie's premise requires more than the usual amount of suspension of belief, but proves to be entertaining anyway. Billy Bob Thornton creates another memorable character that is completely different from previous roles in Sling Blade or A Simple Plan. In contrast, Bruce Willis essentially plays the same character he always plays.
The story line has a few twists to keep things interesting. If you can get past the ..."Bonnie & Clyde" type of bandits-as-heroes it is worth watching.

Review: I loved this movie! Its a comedy, action, drama, suspense, love story...everything! Willis, Thornton and Blanchett are amazing actors with incredible chemistry on screen. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Summary: A dissapointing film
Review: Bandits is a film that I had somewhat high expectations for because of the extremely talented cast. Bruce Willis is a very good actor who is usually reliable, Oscar nominees' Billy Bob Thornton and Cate Blanchett usually deliver and Barry Levinson is a wonderful Oscar winning director who we can usually count on for a good film. That is why Bandits, a mundane attempt at an action comedy, is so dissapointing. It starts out strong enough, with the two main characters escaping from prison in an unconventional way. The first thirty to forty minutes makes for a very good and entertaining film. Then, the film shifts gears from buddy heist comedy to love triangle comedy, and most films that use love triangles generally are not that good. Cate Blanchett is a good actress, but she is not funny and comes off as annoying as the woman torn between Willis and Thornton. You don't understand why she would want either one of the idiots. Willis is just okay in this film, although he doesn't have much to do but to wear a pathetic wig that makes him look like he stepped out of a bad eighties movie. Thornton is surprisingly funny as a hypochondriac who is also the brains of the operation. He keeps the film from sinking too much. The film, as directed by Levinson, seems disjointed, sometimes it seems extremely bland, and too cheesy(there is no other word to describe it). The ending is pathetic and has been done before, as has most of the other scenes in the movie. If you're looking for a good bank robber movie, go rent Steven Soderberg's Out Of Sight starring George Clooney, or wait for the casino heist comedy from Soderberg/Clooney called Ocean's 11.

Summary: Best movie of the year so far
Review: Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton have both acted their guts out in this movie. It was hilarious from start to finish, with a brilliant, non-cheezy ending to match. When you start off this movie you think you know how it ends, but you don't! Anyway, that aside, the acting by all of the characters, Cate Blanchett included was brilliant, and the story line was intelligent funny, and kept you hooked all the way thru. Plus, I think I'm in love with Cate Blanchett after this movie. She was just brilliant too. The funniest robber movie I've seen in a long time.
